This was our 2nd time at Meridian. This time for for a 13 day period over Christmas and New Year 2019/20. We rented an executive apartment on the 13th floor.

The apartment had been recently renovated and was clean and very simply decorated, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and air conditioning in all 3 rooms (beds x 2 and lounge/dining room). The lounge was quite spacious and the kitchen certainly big enough to manage all my messy cooking. The balcony is extensive and wraps around the front and side of the apartment with super views of the beach across the road. An added spectacle is the constant sight of tandem sky divers landing on the beach some 100 metres away. A small balcony is also part of the main bedroom.

The main ensuite is very small - the 2nd bathroom being only slightly larger. The main ensuite is not big enough to manage two adults. The laundry is a perfect size; the washing machine is easy to use.

Mike and Maggie Best did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and were excellent managers/hosts.

Meridian is actually in KIrra (although addressed as Coolangatta). it is a step across the road to the ocean. The pool is a good size for the tallywackers to play around in at the end fo the day whilst Mum and Dad get the evening meal together. There are cafés close at hand and good and coffee is served. Kirra is slightly quieter than Coolangatta.

There are lifeguard postings at South and North end of the beach making it safe place for the kids to swim in patrolled area.

A great place to stay, clean, lots of warm Ocean ) good surfing, great hosts

Room 701....room with a view!
Seamless booking and reception
Secure undercover parking
From the reception area right through and into the unit was absolutely spotless, very quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed.
Best bed we've ever had in a unit.
We'll definitely be back.

The moment you walk into the sparkling clean reception greeted by the smiling, friendly and very helpful Rachael, you know immediately you’re going to enjoy your stay. Only a short stay for me, but I’ll definitely be back to for a longer stay next time. Brilliant location with easy access to beach, walking and cycling paths.

The property was okay if you are not expecting too much. Unfortunately, we were expecting just a little more for the $600 for the 3 nights we paid with Tripadeal. It was all the little things where it let it down.

From the guest's welcome booklet that underlined all of the ways, you could be charged for breaking or not abiding by house rules, to the Foxtel TV, with most channels missing including Sky News. This is all brought home to you when they take $500 from your credit card, just in case!

All of this was highlighted by even the absence of salt and pepper to use. There was absolutely nothing. Seriously, are guests really expected to bring their own salt and pepper to a self-contained apartment? We were there for 3 nights, they supplied 3 teabags, 3 coffees, 4 sugars sachets, and 4 single-serve milk cartons. After being warned about taking all rubbish from the apartment, they left 1 small bin liner. This was rather tight and miserly.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and found it all a little bit overhyped and advertised.

Very centrally located lots to do within walking distance cafes restaurants surf clubs
Unfortunately there was a building under construction next door and as always on the Gold Coast the rubbish collectors and gardeners are on the job ridiculously early
The apartment was your typical high rise set up and if your lucky enough to be on one of the higher levels you have an amazing view of the beach
The ladies at reception are wonderful and yo above and beyond expectations to accommodate any request you may have
Will definitely go back there again

I stayed here for two nights in June 2022 and would never stay again. Despite house rules about no partying, there was a party going on in the floor below mine on the second night. I couldn't reach the floor to identify the exact room because our keys don't allow it, and the after hours phone wasn't manned so no one answered my numerous phone calls. Eventually I left the hotel at 11.15pm and drove back to Brisbane just to get some sleep. The hotel management were unrepentant and very rude about it. Because I couldn't prove exactly which room it was they wouldn't provide any compensation and in fact did not even once apologise or treat me as if I was telling the truth. They behaved as if I was making it up which I found highly insulting and unreasonable. Most people don't leave in the middle of the night in pyjamas for no reason.

The apartment itself was an odd mix of renovated and run down. They had redone the kitchen, all except for the fridge which was old and yellowing and really stuck out. Two of the doors were locked which I assumed led to another bathroom and bedroom, I wouldn't have minded this except that it would have been nice to have a bath but the facilities were all locked up. The remaining bedroom and ensuite were horrible. Really really old, run down and outdated. There was weird orange mould all around the bathroom door. The furniture was the cheapest possible, from the broken plastic loo roll holder to the truly nasty bedside tables, possibly sourced in the 1950s. The carpet looked ancient. The shower was tiny and cramped. It was completely at odds with the much nicer main room. They shouldn't have let it out part renovated, when the whole thing clearly needs doing.

From the rude hotel staff, noisy neighbours and nasty carpets, the whole place is not one I would ever recommend to anyone. Massively overpriced for what I got.

Meridian Tower is an outstanding choice of accomodation for travellers who want excellent quality within a reasonable budget. Very clean and well maintained apartments with beautiful views and close to a range of awesome shops and restaurants. Just a short walk around (or over) the headland and you’re at Coolangatta. Kirra beach is perfect for couples and families, and Meridian Tower is perfectly situated to take advantage of all this area has to offer. Meridian Tower has a very nice outdoor pool, indoor games room, gym, and staff that are always friendly, courteous and polite and very helpful. When you stay here you can’t go wrong. Meridian Tower makes a great holiday destination just perfect. If I could give it more than 10/10 I would.

After a 11 months of working and studying from our bedrooms and kitchen my family and I booked in the12th floor of the lovely meridian towers. We were excited by the views as they appeared on the net , with the apartment seeming quite modern and functional for our needs. Initially we booked for nine days but a border closure between NSW and Victoria resulted in a change of travel mode from a road trip to a flight and subsequently an increase to the duration of the our stay to 13 days. This was our first experience with the wonderfull and friendly staff at Meridian towers ,they promptly extended our stay and kept in close contact as the pandemic was threatening to block our much needed escape; at one stage co-ordinating with the apparment owner to facilitate a credit note for future use if covid

restrictions prevented us from making our dates. We managed to make it and wow how amazing it was to step out on that twelfth floor balcony and gaze over the kira beach surf ....truly priceless, no day or night was ever the same with the vista continuously changing.
Truly unforgettable...however on a practical side the place did come with a sense of basic functionality,
some of th he little things which could have been better where lacking. The recliner s didn't recline and had no pading it felt like they had truly seen better days, the television functioned intermittently and seriously you could pick up a newer bigger TV on a hard rubbish collection. The glass plate on the plastic pillar seemed more like an accident awaiting to happen than a coffee table. ...the killer was the ed in the master bedroom and the accompanying pillows, definitely not comfortable. The kitchen was great to work in and the other beds and bathrooms great. The place is kept spotless and the staff are friendly and accommodating.i didn't try out the tennis courts or pool room or swimming pool but did visit the gym, functional but very limited equipment wise with poor ventilation .. think promoting it as a gym is a stretch. I wavered on rating meridian towers at a four but the view & proximity to the beach, the staff and kitchen bumped it up. The bed.and lounge area did disappoint me but after 11 months of lockdown it was the perfect place to soak in the sun, surf and feel summer on our skin.

Dear valued guests Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry the bed and lounge area in that particular room didn't meet your expectation. It is surely not what we'd like to hold ourselves to when it comes to quality of our service. We have taken the feedback on board and passed it on to the owners. Good news is, new furniture have been purchased! Thanks again for your feedback. :)

My booking was for a 'deluxe' 1 bed apartment, and I can honestly say there was nothing deluxe about it. Apparently the deluxe in the description refers more to how high up the building you are, rather than the condition of the room. What I actually got was a 2 bed apartment with the other bedroom and main bathroom doors locked, so I had one bedroom and an ensuite that you couldn't swing a cat in.
The reception area is shiny and new, but the room I stayed in on the 8th floor seemed to have had nothing done to it since the building was built. The tiles were cracked, and the carpet was worn and stained. The handles on the kitchen units were pitted with age, and paint finishes were chipped. There was plenty of storage in the bedroom, but the large walk-in robe had a very unpleasant smell that you would not want on your clothes. The bed sheets had small tears in them too.

I did have an ocean view, but it was round the side of the building, so was a little restricted. The staff were very pleasant, but I would not stay here again.

Highly recommend staying at the Meridian Apartments. The apartments are amazing and are in an excellent location. You wake up to the most amazing views and it’s only a very short walk to cafes and coffee shops.
Everything you need such as shops/grocery stores and eateries are only a short walk or 5 minute drive away or just relax in your beautiful self contained apartment. The apartments have everything you need and they really make you feel like you are at home. They are spacious, clean and comfortable.
We book the meridian for our Gold Coast holiday every year as you just can’t beat the amazing views and location. I am born and bread on the Gold Coast and the location of the Meridian is perfect for all your holiday needs.
The staff are also extremely friendly and accommodating and will always do their best to suit your needs.
The gym and pool area is great and there is secure undercover parking.
Very affordable and great value for the location and breathtaking views. This is our “Go Too” place to stay when we travel to the GC 👍
