We honestly had the BEST family get together staying at Nirvana by the sea. A breathtaking 180° vista of blue sea and miles upon miles of sand and sky awaits if you book an ocean view room. Just relax and watch whales glide past (definitely bring your good binoculars) or play pool in the games room and enjoy your very own complimentary Gold Class cinema experience at night with shelves and shelves of movies to choose from. Get in early to book this as it is soooo worthwhile doing and created a special holiday memory. Soooo light and airy and fresh and modern with good quality soaps and shampoos and a bathroom for every bedroom in the 3 room apartment. Staff were very helpful and friendly especially Doug at front of house and the maintenance man I kept running into in the lifts who seemed particularly amiable and cheerful. Great restaurants and gelato shop directly underneath the complex so no need to go anywhere once you arrive - just park the car and walk away - you won’t be needing it again. The one and only negative was having a Nespresso coffee machine and frother provided but no pods to be found anywhere, only a few packets of instant coffee powder, tea and sugar consistent with a two star motel and not a quality luxury high end apartment. Despite this I would go back in a heartbeat as we all of us from the 12 year old to the 84 year old had the best most amazing fun and relaxing family weekend and we all vowed we wanted to repeat the experience as soon as possible.

We stayed for a week with our daughter and her husband in a two bedroom apartment on the third floor. It rained for the entire seven days, but we had a wow of a time thanks in part to the facilities and location of this terrific hotel. We were within easy walking distance to all our needs, coffee, restaurants, supermarket, bakery, clubs ... you name it, and just a short Uber to Coolangatta for much, much more of the same plus shopping. If you just want to stay in, there is a pool, spa, gym, library, pool table (no kids allowed), mini-theatre, BBQ area ... even a dedicated teppanyaki area. Our room was well equipped with all the facilities you would expect in a self contained unit, including TVs in both bedrooms as well as the lounge room, and a huge balcony overlooking Kirra Beach and the ocean. Secure parking is available for guests and visitors below the building. The staff were friendly and attentive, although we only needed them occasionally for their local knowledge. We will certainly go back again, hopefully with the weather a little kinder.

The apartments at Nirvana are fabulous. We stayed in a well appointed 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is well designed and it is luxurious to be able to see the ocean from the shower. While we did not cook, the kitchen has all you need. The 5 minute drive to Gold Coast airport makes this the perfect beachside location. The secure parking under the building is great. All of the staff and managers were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

We loved our week at Nirvana By The Sea on Floor 8. Our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, beautifully presented and worked perfectly for 3 adults. From our room we had a great view over Kirra Beach and whale watching from our balcony or the beach was often rewarded. As keen swimmers, the 25m lap pool was one of the highlights of our stay. Everything we needed was close at hand - beaches, walks, restaurants, shops, transport. With a Go Card the local bus service easily enabled us to explore Tweed Heads, Currumbin Sanctuary and Burleigh Heads National Park. Barbara and the front desk staff were always helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. One week in Nirvana was not enough!

We stayed 5 nights in the sub penthouse, it was jaw dropping beautiful. From the amazing views , decor , ammenities, to our private roof top pool with BBQ. Staff at reception were very friendly & happy. (Always a fantastic sign)
Doug the manager was beyond helpful when we had to reschedule our first trip due to covid boarder closures. I booked originally through Bookings.com a big mistake as they didn’t reply to my cancellation emails or answer calls. , Doug spent time to call them & sort it all out, which he didn’t have to. Make sure you book through the hotel it’s self , you will also get a cheaper rate. Doug is real great guy & enjoys a laugh with everyone.
Kirra beach across the road was beautiful, the sand was soft & fine. There are plenty of nice restaurants in walking distance. On a nice afternoon I recommend going to The rainbow bay life saving club & watch the sunset across the sea with a cold one in hand. We watched some dolphins diving around the surfers. It was amazing.

Nirvana by the Sea was the perfect location for our reunion of five families. The 3 bedroom apartment comfortably accommodated all 22 of us on Christmas Day, with Kirra beach as a spectacular back drop! We had a fun night utilising the theatre room and the 25m lap pool was great. We really appreciated being allowed to utilise the common areas after checkout, since many of our flights weren’t until later in the day. Thank you!

We have stayed many times at Nirvana over the last 8 years or so. We try to go back at least once a year, and usually at the same time. Nirvana's location is perfect, and every different room type we have stayed in has had spectacular views of the best beach in Queensland - Kirra! We have stayed in the 2 bed apartments, the 2 bed sub penthouse and the 3 bed Sky home. As we have stayed there so often, I would have thought that at least the managers could pretend to remember us. This time we stayed for 10 days, but there was no linen change during this time. So customer service was lacking and by the end of the 10 days, I was looking forward to going home to clean linen.

Unfortunately, due to it being the busiest time of the year and our 68 apartments at full capacity it is difficult at times to do this for every return guest checking in with us. We would also like to take the opportunity to apologize for your most recent experience with our customer service, especially in regard to the missed Service that was supposed to be scheduled in the middle of your stay. We researched our holiday accommodation extensively prior to booking on the beach at Kirra, Qld. We had been warned by two sources that the locality was heavily covered in developing buildings with cranes, scaffolding and associated construction noise. We ended up booking at Nirvana as we had stayed there 4 or 5 times before and were very happy with those bookings. We made it very clear that we required an ocean view out to sea as we didn't want a side location looking at construction sites. We mentioned that we had been warned about the construction sites and that we were also returning customers. We were assured that our superior priced apartment would be an ocean view between the 7 & 12th levels. On arrival, guess where our apartment was?? Yeah, that's right!!! The furtherest southerly apartment on the building with a great view of the hinterland, mountains, etc on the 7th floor. Sure, there was a glimpse of the water but we also lost the sunshine each morning by 10am. We asked for the room to be changed but that was not an immediate option!! We were offered another room for the last 2 nights of our 5 night stay!! Really!! This is just a warning to would-be visitors to Nirvana that they don't respect client's wishes even if they are return clients. My wife and I will not be going back again.

Hi George We are very sorry to read these comments. Your review does mention that you were made aware of construction noise and still made the decision to book with us, so it is unfortunate to read the review mainly based on construction. Our team take many notes on requests for bookings and try our very hardest to accommodate these requests for all of our guests. Unfortunately, there are times when we are unable to meet all requests. At your time of arrival we were at full occupancy with all guests in house, therefore we offered to move you when the next available apartment checked out and unfortunately that was 3 days later which then only offered you 2 nights in a different apartment. After some thought you advised us no you would stay in your apartment. Please keep in mind if there was anything else we could have offered to you earlier we would have done so. This unfortunately was the first available apartment. We are sorry to read after a number of stays you have decided to not return. I am sure as a return guest you enjoy the amazing location we have to offer with the beach across the road, shops and cafes on our door step and the views from our Ocean View apartments that offer both ocean and hinterland for a unique experience. Please accept our apologies that we did not meet your expectations on your recent stay. We do hope you reconsider on returning, remembering all the reasons why you love Nirvana By The Sea. Our family of 5 stayed in one of the 3 bedroom sky home apartments which was absolutely huge. The view out to Kirra and all the way up to surfers paradise was breath taking. The location was perfect for us and we only used our car once for a trip up to Surfers one day. We walked and ride scooters everywhere.
The apartment itself is very modern with new furniture and beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom had its own en-suite. The kitchen was huge and had everything you need plus more!
We all loved the 25m heated lap pool and the spa which we went in everyday. We also used the free private movie room one night which was loads of fun.
We have stayed in a few places along Kirra coolangatta over the last 19 years but this is by far our favourite and look forward to going back.
Special mention to Barbara on reception who was always so helpful and happy to chat which was nice.
We will be back in 2022

Thank you so much to the friendly staff at Nivarna By the Sea, and putting up with our noisy children at times 😆 staff were always friendly and quick to help/act
We all had an amazing time. Every part was enjoyable to viewing the apartment for the first time (felt very fancy) so much bigger than I expected, so much storage! The beach views were incredible, the balcony was great, the kids were so excited, just running around everywhere, there were even two little retreat rooms if the kids wanted their own space. I particularly appreciated the washing machine and dryer as we just spent 4 nights at Seaworld and had a fair bit of washing to do. The hotel pool and spa was great too. The free use of the mini cinema room was cool, our 5 year old son loved choosing his own movie and watching it on the big screen, good for those not so beach weather days. I can't think of anything really negative to say, apart from the lounge room can be a bit noisy at night as it faces the traffic but it didn't bother us as when the kids are asleep we are usually watching TV or a movie, so only notice it when no devices are on and didn't notice the noise in the bedrooms which is the main thing.
Fantastic location, right opposite the beach and the park, very handy little shopping area next door too, with 7 Eleven, bakery, chemist, all the things you need. Also on the nice warm days walking up to the shopping centre was great, it only took about 10-15mins and had great views of the beach, another park and plenty of shops. We didn't want to leave.

Parking is part of the deal. The cars are secured at all times. Ring the hotel direct and ask for a 15% discount also on the accommodation.
Hi, we have a few time slots everyday for our guests to book, and it's free. Please feel free to give us a call a few days before your arrival and we can book the Theatre for you.
