Have stayed at this property many times but this time left very little to desire. Dust, dirt, on fans, inside laundry cupboard, exposed TV cables. Had to ask for room and shower to be cleaned a little more. Went to reception and asked for a doona cover to be replaced which was stained. Was still sitting on bedroom floor when we checked out. This place has magnificent views and location is great but this needs to be backed up with clean apartments and good customer service. The $$ you pay to stay here does not match the service and quality you would expect. No room should be given people and families unless inspected by management. Your cancellation policies will also cost you potential customers. We have raved to all our friends and families about this place and location over the years, but can no longer recommend based on this last visit.

We really enjoyed this place. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment fantastic balcony overlooking the ocean. Good kitchen and staff were friendly. The only downside was the lack of toilet rolls. dishwasher tablets and liquid & laundry powder. Yes there was a starter kit provided but we were told once you used them you had to provide yourself. Given a dozen toilet rolls cost less than $5, diswashing tablets bought in bulk are 27c per tablet, dishwashing liquid $1 a bottle and laundry powder at half price is $9 a box. Given we are paying good money to stay there I think what was provided in the starter kit was stingy to say the least. I hope management review this practice as supplying much needed amenities is hardly breaking the bank. And yes I did ask the front counter staff who said if you used up your starter kit you needed to supply your own.

Great view from the 19th floor but apartment has some issues, including both bedrooms have kingsize beds. Main had acrylic blankets that weren't big enough for the bed. The second bedroom had two double bed sized doonas! Table on the balcony only had two chairs. No matching cutlery. If you woke during the night you could consistently hear toilets being flushed in other units and then noises from water hammer in the pipes.

Very tired apartment, not cleaned properly Washing machine overflowed on our last day flooding the kitchen area. Dishwasher did not work consistently Receptionists very helpful and lovely as were maintenance but required us contacting them pretty much daily. Even had a dirty wine glass in the kitchen cupboard! We’re given some compensation but definitely overpriced for an old apartment Asked for contact to manager but never received this including after an email sent after our stay.

I should have looked at the reviews before booking. Staff were rude, apartments were not clean. The reviews over the last few years have all been the same, obviously management don’t want to change or improve the standards at this hotel. We booked 2 apartments and both were the same level of dissatisfaction. From dirty bins, no towels or kitchen linen, dusty, beds looked like they’d already been slept in, dishes still in dishwasher to also being accused of not paying for our apartments. I would hate to see their trust accounts. No apologies once they had sorted it out. We will never stay here again.

We treated ourselves to 2 nights at what we thought was a beautiful resort. The view in 1503 was lovely, but the apartment was filthy. The beds were fresh but nothing else seemed to be cleaned. No tea towel, scourer or detergent was supplied, oven still had grease on the trays and oven not clean. Fridge dirty, bathroom drawers not cleaned, second bedroom bed was broken, balcony not swept or mopped, cobwebs everywhere. I wrote 2 emails to the manager and asked for immediate response but was ignored. This was the worst place I have stayed, will never stay here again.

We paid for a luxury apartment stay and we were given an old, rundown reject apartment. Unit issues: - [ ] Fridge not chilling-not cooling at all and had to be removed and replaced with another old fridge the next day which was even smaller then the original. We had to move all our food and medication into another empty apartment overnight and then bring it back to the other supplied fridge the next morning. - [ ] Massive rip in leather couch cushion and couch was uncomfortable and even after cleaning it we all felt icky sitting on it and used sheets on top for the entire stay. - [ ] A drawer front in one bedroom wardrobe was broken and kept falling off. - [ ] Balcony door in main room hard to open and almost impossible to close without extreme force. - [ ] Light in one room didn’t work using the light switch. No instructions on needing to use fan remote to turn on light in one room was provided and it was not something anyone would just know. Every other light switch in the apartment turned on lights except for this one room. - [ ] Internet modem left plugged in with cords dangled together on the floor. Wifi was atrocious- not worth being advertised as an inclusion as no one could actually use it- couldn’t even do a simple google search without loading for ages if at all. - [ ] The tv was plugged into the wall with piggy back adapters (this is illegal and dangerous- can start fires and wouldn’t be covered in owners insurance) - [ ] The beds in two bedrooms are all singles pushed together to make queens- all very old and uncomfortable. Some are higher then others so when pushed together there is a weird gap in the middle that you roll into. Could hear the springs pop and groan whenever you sat on mattress or moved at all. Gave all of us sore backs. - [ ] Washing machine leaked brown liquid underneath when it was used. - [ ] Dishwasher door had to be slammed with extreme force to close. - [ ] Very basic kitchen utensils - toaster burnt everything, one small microwave bowl with no lid, can opener was broken, no oven trays, chipped and mismatched plates, chipped glasses that should be thrown out-overall not function for a six person family and not equip for people to cook every night like we were. - [ ] Dining table chairs were plastic and hard to sit on, chair legs on the carpet caused tripping hazard. An adult in our group tripped over a chair leg when leaving the table and fell injuring their knee as the chairs are hard to move on carpet and the legs stick out. - [ ] Hisense tv in lounge has white line towards bottom of screen where it has been damaged. - [ ] Severe rust on bathroom lights and metal drain covers, many many scratches, dents, marks on all walls of unit. - [ ] Kitchen sink leaks- right side - plug doesn’t hold water. - [ ] Power plug is in middle of one bedroom behind beds, so no lamp or phone charger can be used. The have a lamp and clock sitting unplugged on bedside table unable to be used. - [ ] Visitors be warned- the two rooms near unit entry are directly opposite the Moxy’s rooftop bar. There is loud music and drunk yelling which is clearly heard in these rooms as the noise travels directly across the road. Expect horrible noise until 12am Thursday to Sunday nights. Cleanliness of apartment: 0 stars. Reflections need to sort out their cleaning issues fast. It is not acceptable to rent out an apartment in the state they did. When we arrived the place was so filthy we spent over 4 hours cleaning it ourselves. We even needed to purchase cleaning supplies and disinfect everything. It wasn’t just surface cleaning that was needed but long time dirt and grim had accumulated to the point that it was unsanitary and unsafe especially during the COVID climate. We needed to disinfect the couch, tables, wash every dish and glass, cleaned the bathrooms top to bottom and tried vacuuming the floors with a broken vacuum (clogged nozzle and bin). Everything we touched was grimy, dusty and hadn’t been cleaned even remotely before we arrived. - [ ] Floors not vacuumed well if at all- had previous guests food and party supplies in every room, clothing tags, hair!! So much hair everywhere! - [ ] Beds not made correctly - had to get housekeeping to give us new laundry and remake beds as we didn’t trust it was actually made with new linen. - [ ] Old toiletries and makeup from previous guest left in bathroom draw and half rolls of toilet paper left on top of toilets for us to use. Not hygienic as other guests would have been handling the rolls. We also didn’t get any dishwashing cloths or any new kitchen supplies and had to ask housekeeping for a dishwashing cloth which we used to wipe out and clean the fridge. We know that these supplies are standard in rooms here yet not supplied to us because the room wasn’t serviced correctly. - [ ] All bedroom cupboards full of old linen, mattress protectors and some strange looking green cloths that could not be used for stay. There were just old linen everywhere. - [ ] Urine stain on one of the mattress protectors. Had to ask for new ones. This reiterated that beds were not made with new linen or this would have been seen and changed. There was also blood stains on one of the single bed ensembles. - [ ] There was white mould growing on the couch and there was food and dirt under couch cushions and on the floor. - [ ] Had to wash all utensils and plates in dishwasher to ensure safety as kitchen draws were covered in food debris from previous guests. Pantry had to be cleaned because of food crumbs and dust. Old food from previous guests found in cupboards as well. - [ ] Vermon dropping found on tv table near remotes. - [ ] Fingerprints and soap scum on shower screens from previous guests. - [ ] Internal blinds had stains and what looks like mould on them. Spoke to management about filthy room and broken fridge on the second day of our stay. - [ ] We were told they were having issues getting cleaners and they were understaffed. - [ ] Each unit is individually owned and they have issue getting owners to update furnishing etc. - [ ] They acknowledged what happens was unacceptable. - [ ] We were given 3 days compensation for the cleaning issues. Overall I will not be staying here again as it’s to risky spending so much money for a luxury apartment and potentially getting another dud - as it’s owner owned not a hotel chain , the standard of room furnishings and upkeep is dependent on different owners willingness to keep a nice place or not. Seeing as how Reflections was fine renting out 501 which is dumpy, filthy and old and still asked for the same price as a nicely furnished place, I’d say there isn’t much motivation for owners to update their places as they are still making money from unsuspecting guests who will be left extremely disappointed by their stay.

Like others ... the only thing good was the view. The booking says luxury appointments and furnishings. Unit 1601, a 3 bedroom, had two broken dining chairs that you couldn't sit in; missing shower handle; dirty cups/cutlery; wicker was broken on outdoor furniture and legs bent; stove had dots of grease spots on the top; needs a paint; food under the single beds ... the list just goes on & on. And staff response was less than sympathetic - put it in an email so we can pass on to the owner. We are on holidays! Star rating TWO and that is pushing it.

We had been wanting to try Reflections tower 2, so decided for the last part of our break away we would. We were very disappointed, we wouldn't come back. The only good thing was the view. The unit had very worn raggy furniture that was very uncomfortable, was not cleaned well. Stove hadn't been cleaned in between orhers. We just felt dirty staying there, unit 206 if they give you that one ask for another.

After reviewing lots of upmarket accommodation in the Kingscliffe / Coolangatta area for a 4 night getaway from busy times in Sydney we settled on Reflection 2 Tower expecting an amazing stay A month earlier after attending a funeral I actually visited the Tower spoke with staff and booked 3 nights. Whilst there were only 2 of us I figuered I'd go all the way and book a 3 bedroom apartment (lots of space) and at the time of booking it was noted that if possible a high floor would be wonderful. If you are booking accommodation our advice would be no thank you to Apartment 1107 on the 11th floor. Being 1 week out from the start of winter 1107 is on the very easten end of the building and doesn't recieve any afternoon sunshine. Chatting with reception re some cleaning issues I was told that the apartments are individually owned and I'd assume part of a letting pool. This would explain why 1107 is very basic. You could almost trip on some of the waves in the carpet, the Hisense TV is very ordinary and when I saw the CD player alongside the TV we figured there must be a fax machine. All the sink holes were rusted, basically 1107 it would seem has not had any money spent on it possibly since new 12 years ago During these interesting COVID times having to check in everywhere you go, sanitise, socially distance etc, we couldnt believe how filty 1107 was when we checked in. Drinking glasses x 3 kinds wine etc filthy, Some spotless toward the rear of the cupboard others to the front covered in finger prints all over and one of the wine glasses with red wine remnants clearly visible at the bottom of the glass. One more thing, the balcony, a spider web the size of a dinner plate obviously been there quite a while, not forgetting the 4 inch black hair above the door jamb in the main bedroom ensuite. It may be that 1107 hasn't been let for sometime with border closures and the like but to let guests loose as they did us I find very disturbing. We are not 'clean freaks' but based on the filth in our apartment Id suggest either bring your own crockery and glasses or as we did thoroughlly wash the items you intend using and stick with them. (My preceeding comments are backed by photographs) Positives, a great location, well positioned for the great walk around the ocean front to Snapper Rocks, truly beautiful views on a sunny day, stick to Marine Parade, Griffith Street is very uninspiring. With QLD deperately wanting tourism, a look around at the other high rise buildings very few lights on would suggest Reflections 2 staff and management may want to review their customer service and Covid cleanliness to help secure repeat bookings.
