I never wrote a review of any kind, but this place is shcking: Dirty, unpleasant, noisy, and far more expensive than any other decent backpack in Australia. Some of the staff are really nice while the owners are just terrible. Toilets are from a 3rd world county, bathroom are ridiculous. Kitchen is a joke. TV room is sleazy at best....

Stayed in Federal to try and get my 88 days signed off. What a waste of my time and money. You pay more then $200 a week for nothing. Not even wifi. You don't get work for a good month. I could do a ten times better job then Debbie the working manager. She's rude and lacks any sort of...

We booked to stay in Cellblock back packers for a week and hated it so much we left early. The kitchens and bathrooms are disgusting and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. The rent is so expensive and you could get a nice apartment for the price you pay here. You're not guaranteed work and if you're a...

I stayed with Cellblock Backpackers which belongs to the same owners and is (in my opinion) even nicer than the Federals. I stayed at Cellblock for about two months and was really happy with it. They found us a good hourly paid work within two hours of our stay and even provided transport to work. Even though everything seems really...

I stayed with this company last week when staying in Bundaberg. Cell Block Backpackers Hostel don't have a trip advisor site to review. I wonder why!!!!! They only want your money. We had to pay 190 dollars and got no work for the whole week. Money wasted. Staff seemed uninterested and not friendly. The toilets were dirty in the hostels...

This place is a working hostel. It is dirty and rickety but filled with great people and an awesome atmosphere. They supply you with work and a method of getting to the farms. The staff were decent people. It was crowded, loud and hectic but also a lot of fun.

We stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas as we were desperate for work. We payed $180 each per week for a 'private' room which was a set of bunkbeds a wardrobe and a sink but the room was newly furnished and decorated new mattresses and beds. Negatives: The hostel as a whole was ridden with bed bugs some of the...

Great place to stay ever. Loads of work and the staff are amazing can't wait to go back. The place a little shabby but it just adds to your experience. If you looking for work and just somewhere reasonable to stay then this place is for you.
