For a weekend getaway in the heart of Wollongong CBD, Adina Apartments delivered on all fronts. Our spacious room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with a generous balcony, a well-equipped kitchen (including a washer and dryer), and reliable internet that was easy to connect to.

While the pool was a bit too chilly for a swim, the spa and sauna more than made up for it – a perfect way to unwind. For those looking to stay active, there’s even a gym, though it’s more of a ‘small art installation’ than a full-fledged fitness centre.

The location is ideal, with fantastic restaurants and cafes just a 100m stroll away, and a short 650m walk to both the beach esplanade and Westfield shopping centre. It’s truly a central hub for enjoying everything Wollongong has to offer.

Shoutout to Walter at reception – his warm welcome set the tone for our stay.

Parking bays were a bit tight for larger vehicles, and the $15 per day parking fee could be waived for hotel guests, but these were just minor niggles, not really issues.

We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for only two nights and loved the room we were given. The room was very clean and very large with an enormous balcony for afternoon tea or breakfast. Our friends stayed at the international hotel up the road and paid twice as much as we did but had a very small room. Look forward to a longer stay next time.

It was a nice modern apartment but could have done with some maintenance. The dining room table was wobbly and the carpet had tripping hazards due to it being poorly laid. The location of the property was excellent and there was parking although it cost $15 per day.

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Queen King or Twin room which was a queen room (605) with an adjoining studio room (606). Only the queen room had a washer and dryer.
We arrived early and was able to check in and park our car which was great.
The apartment was clean though it is starting to show its age.

Pros
Parking is available, though isn't guaranteed. We found parking on level P5 less busy than P4.
Well equipped kitchen (no scissors though). We used the dishwasher to wash all the dishes and cooking utensils which was handy. Having a full fridge was also super handy.
Location is fantastic.
The balcony provided a side on view of the city in one direction and the ocean in the other.

Cons:
Parking spots are a tight squeeze even for a small car. The swipe card reader to the carpark entrance and exit is a bit awkwardly located, you have to drive right up to it.
Only terrestrial tv channels no netflix or disney plus.
The pub/restaurant down stairs can be a bit rowdy with patrons spilling over to the entrance of the hotel and carpark.

The Adina Hotel is ideally located in close proximity to the Public Bus Service, shopping centers and a line of restaurants, fast food services and even banks that are within walking range.
I was booked into a self-contained unit at the Adina that had a minibar and even had provisions for laundry services. The design, furniture and feel of the room was quite calming and peaceful and had a lovely view.
The staff were courteous, understanding and quite observant. I enjoyed the fact that I could cook for myself in a room that exuberated a peaceful and calming effect. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Adina to friends and associates visiting Wollongong.

I booked a property advertised with one bed and a sofa bed for $1,680.76, but my card was charged $1,928.63 without explanation. When I questioned the extra charge, I was told it was for the sofa bed—something that was never disclosed beforehand. Despite requesting a receipt, the staff refused to provide one and dismissed my concerns, promising to resolve the issue later but never following through.

The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. The room was filthy, with hair all over the floor, a terrible odor, and flies and mosquitos everywhere. The door cards didn’t work, and the parking situation was chaotic. To make matters worse, the staff often spoke in their own language, which felt dismissive and unprofessional.

This was an absolutely terrible experience, and I would never recommend this property!

We stayed here for one night on our way to Canberra. Watch your bill tried to charge for car parking which we didn’t use and did not apologise for the error. We booked for 4 people were given 3 towels and no milk for tea and coffee. The toilet roll ran out and we were there for less than 24 hours. Rooms was at the front near road and you could hear the cars. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I have already provided feedback to Adina and Wotif but have not had a response.
Positives was the bed was excellent but the carpet was threadbare. I told cleaner when I gave her filthy cushions off the bed with white substance on them. The knives were rusty. It would have been nice if on arrival someone had advised me the entry card problems which may have prevented me from getting stuck in the lift. For over $400 per night it’s not worth the money

Thank you for your question in relation to parking. Parking is limited at the hotel however if there are spots available you are welcome to park for the day. Alternatively there is a parking station located on Market street 100 meters away from the venue. If you are staying at the hotel please see reception for parking options.
