We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. It was spacious and the staff were very friendly but that's as far as the positives go. While mostly minor issues, there was one that we couldn't get over, which was the cleanliness of it all. The floor and furniture was atrocious, there were so many stains and some that could easily have been cleaned yet for some reason they remained. The carpet had a rug for some weird reason and when we looked under it had crumbs and who knows what else. The fridge was so dirty that we had to call someone to clean it. The cleanliness standard was simply appalling and not something I have experienced ever before. It was so bad we bought disinfectant wipes and wiped all the furniture down beforehand. In addition, some of the more minor issues: - It was a west facing apartment and the bedrooms had no A/C so the rooms got very hot and it was very difficult to sleep. - There was obvious plumbing - Toilet flush, shower that had issues - It wasn't a great location. The area seemed dingy. Will definitely aim for a hotel closer to the beach next time as it was a much nicer area there too. - There was only 1 lift and it was quite slow.

Clean and tidy apartment room, good size, excellent for family etc. Very noisy, lift was really smelly, tight parking $10 per night extra (rubbish in car park also smelly)... Staff are friendly and the hotel is in a ok but not great location. See what else is available.

While the reception looks impeccable, and the receptionist is lovely, the actual room was dirty, sticky floors, you could see the dirt everywhere. It also had a weird smell. The location was great and the room spacious, but the fact it was dirty, especially the kitchen and the bathroom, made it a very poor experience. It took me a sponge, a bit of soap and water to clean the kitchen bench before using it, so it is not that it was hard to clean. But unfortunately there was no mop or bleach or a brum to clean the rest.

2 weeks ago I wrote a google review & this is what it was. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We booked last minute for a one night stay on Friday 26/3. I didnt mind paying the over priced last minute amount, until we turned up & saw what we were paying for. You had to pay for parking, however, there was no parking available to park, hence, waste of money & didnt even have a car spot. Then the room was OK, though not what I would call up to standards for a Mantra accommodation. The only thing that was ok with the room, was the bed. We went out for dinner & when we arrived back after 10pm, we were locked out of our room for approx 15 mins till the night Manager came back in, to flick the door handle a few times to open the door back up. Advising us that this happens all the time. The next day on check out I advised the Manager / Receptionist of everything that happened & all she could say was "oh ok thank you". What response is this? Anyway we will not be staying there again & will definitely be telling family & friends to avoid the place.
