At the River View we have a range of modern comfortable units ranging from single to double room family units as well as some self contained with cooking facilities. All units are serviced daily. Discounts available for group bookings. Breakfast & dinner are available directly to your room or from our fully licensed restaurant. Very basic and cheap accommodation which is pet friendly. Staff were really friendly but the place is desperate for an update! Walls are pretty thin and it was full so not a great sleep with noise from kids and dogs but was perfect for what I needed for one night with a dog. The river views are lovely!

We over-nighted here and the motel is modest to say the least, but then the low tariff reflects that. The pool especially was in a very unappealing condition. What made our stay was the wonderful, expansive view from the room of the Manning River. At dusk and then again in the morning, it is magical. The room was a reasonable size (there were three of us), was clean and wifi reception was good. Usual trappings like m/w oven, mini-fridge, toaster, crockery etc all provided. Would stay here again.

The only dog friendly motel I could find in this area. The motel room we had was very tired and in need of an update, over-priced for what we got. There were 3 other dogs staying in other rooms. However it was great to have our dog with us. The owner was really interested in ideas to make the motel more dog friendly for travelers. There was a pleasant view of the river and a long walk right along the river's edge. Ideal exercise for a dog that's been in a car for hours.

The room was dirtiest one I have ever seen. Everything was run-down and not cleaned, although the bed and towels were ok. The river view from the room and reception staff was friendly though. The room door was hard to close. Bathroom door was some kind of plastic sliding door and partially broken. Toilet paper holder and soap dish were broken as well, so toilet paper easily dropped on the floor, and no place to put the soap. Above all I found it really unacceptable that some water was left in the kettle and plastic package of shampoo and soap from previous guests were left in the shower room. Besides the coffee cups in the room had stains and marks. I suppose the motel staff do not clean after the previous guests left. We ended up taking a shower with thongs on in order to avoid any infection from the shower room floor. Especially in this COVID-19 restrictions, I really regret that we chose the motel and had to stay at the unhealthy room. Free wifi connection was too weak to use, almost did not exist in our room either. TripAdvisor’s overall review was 3.5 stars, so I did not expect the room was that bad. From now on I will try to read the individual reviews more carefully before deciding.

This place was a dive. There are permanents living there. This place also allows people to have dogs in the rooms, up on the bed and on the lounges. Permanents went out and left their animals inside barking till they came home. A guy came to visit, on his large motorbike at 9pm left and returned at 1 am. Arguments in the afternoon between them. Smoking on the balconies with the doors open meaning the rooms fill up with smoke and the carpet smells of it. Flicking butts into the carpark. The carpark had three large potholes in it. Yes, some rooms have a river view, but it is just not worth the bother. Give this place a big miss.

My partner and i booked into this motel on 20 May and immediately regretted it. Reception was rude and made us feel like we were disturbing them by simply checking in. We didnt have a good look around at the time as we were visiting family, so we put our gear in the room and went out. When we returned later in the afternoon we were shocked at the state of our room. There was dried 2 minute noodles on the floor near the window and also stuck to the skirting boards around the bed. When we went to use the microwave it was covered in mould on the inside. The table felt grimy and unclean so we had to clean and sanitise ourselves. We called reception and they put the blame on the new cleaner. What a joke!! They never even bothered to offer us a new microwave to use. When my female partner went to see them the next morning they stood at the doorway and tried to intimidate her, finally throwing $50 at her and basically telling her to piss off. This place is a filthy hole and i dont know how they are still operating. We should have read the reviews, we never would have gone there. PS Thankyou to the CRESCENT MOTEL who gave us a 10am check in the next day and a beautiful room to stay in.

En route to Qld we chose the Riverview for its price and closeness to a pub for dinner. Receptionist was polite but nothing more. Room dated, someone else’s coffee cup in the bin and makeup marks in the sink. Bed very clean though so that’s all we needed. Nice river view.

We only stayed one night. The Room was dirty, bathroom sink did not drain properly. Outlook was pleasant, close to town. Pub close. We wanted a clean room for an overnight stay. Very disappointed indeed.

The view is the only thing going for this place. Room was smelly, dirty and in need of a makeover. Check in at reception was quick and easy, friendly staff. Continental breakfast was ok but restaurant was in need of a makeover as well. Will not be returning!

Bathroom dirty with holes in linen. Bed had no skirt on the base and the mattress was out of shape and hideously uncomfortable. Dirty and marked walls and light switches. Furniture looked as though it had come straight from a council clean up. How can this motel possibly have a 3 star rating? I had stayed there over 20 years ago and can’t believe how it has gone so badly down hill.
