Stayed 1 night but not in a river view room :( The room was a little small but had everything you need to be comfortable. Bed was comfortable but pillows were very firm. Wifi was a little erratic, dropped out a few times but fine when signal strength was there. Bathroom was very roomy but needed updating, especially the shower head and taps. Had a very quiet night's sleep, and this motel is very close to the river walk, shops, aquatic club and take-aways. Very friendly owners!

Midlands Motel is an unpretentious motel on the main road through Taree. It would be delightful to stay at the back of the building in an upstairs room overlooking the Manning River but these were not listed on the hotels.com site when we booked, at very short notice. Our ground floor room was spacious, with a very comfortable new bed, chairs and table, and a small kitchen equipped with essentials like detergent and tea towel. Everything was scrupulously clean. The bathroom was small and tad dated but the towels, hot water supply and shower pressure were all good. Our room was close to the road but our sleep was not disturbed by passing traffic. The motel is a comfortable walk along the river walking path to the Aquatic Club which offered excellent dining. For the unwilling walkers, it is possible to drive along the riverfront, halfway to the club. The only downside was that our TV did not show all the advertised channels. Overall, not luxury but good value. We would return for an overnight stay in Taree.

I stayed here for a few nights recently. I did enjoy my time and the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice and warm from the heat pump. I would stay again but perhaps without needing to do laundry. The washing machine is an old three-coin operated machine that only had the option of icy cold water. I stayed to ensure if the water would reach the level chosen but the water trickled out and as it was cold I left hoping for the best. I returned 30 minutes later and the cycle was finished. This washing machine needs to be replaced with a modern version so that clients feel they get their money's worth. Happy to pay $3.00 per load but not under the current circumstances.

It was excellent location because you could go down to the river and play catch. there was a splended balcony you could sit there and watch the watch the river and rain fall. The bed was so coftable that when I hopped in the i slept so well that i woke up ready to go for the next day.

Taree and it surrounds has plenty to offer this time of year. As beautiful as it is, its no comparison to the accommodation and aspect we got from the midlands motel. From the queen deluxe suite we had neat and spacious room that featured a view out over the majestic manning river. We recommend the midlands motel for its facilities and comfort. The service staff were professional and met all our questions with sound local knowledge and genuine interest.

This motel exceeded our expectations, despite being on the pricier side in peak season. It had aircon in both rooms, was cleaned daily, had a moderately well maintained pool, kind and friendly staff, and a beautiful view of Manning River. The beds were a bit springy, and it was fairly cramped for a family of four, but it had all we needed and we'd visit again.

We checked in with our 2 four legged children in the morning, stayed for a few hours and when we returned a few more hours later was told to get out as they didn't accept pets even though various staff had aleady seen them. Was threatened with all extra charges and effectively kicked out with lady owner yelling and screaming obscene words. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Hi Thank you for your review, unfortunately you failed to mention that you had dogs on check-in. When we tried to explain that we were not pet friendly you or your partner chose to fly into a fit of rage, Sadly, we needed to contact the police because of your poor attitude and bad behaviour. Furthermore, you signed a check-in form stating there would be an extra charge for evidence of smoke or pets, for which is still outstanding.

We stayed here with our family of 5 on our way up the coast. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. The rooms are simple but all we needed and clean. It was great value and good location to the river walking track at the back of motel. We collected pizza from across the road and ate dinner by the river.

We made our booking by calling the Motel, the woman we chatted to was very good, we got there and found the room was ready for us, room 8, it was clean and tidy, the Queen size bed was good, tea and coffee was available in the room. We were able to park right outside the room. It was an easy 6 or 7 minute walk into the business district to the town. We will stay there again.

Owners are super accommodating and friendly. They were very helpful and caring and nothing seemed too much for them. Honestly so nice to meet owners that care and make your stay wonderful. The room was very clean,comfortable and spacious and it has great views also. Make sure you stay here in Taree!!!
