Lovely staff and quick book-in to a powered site. Amenities were older but kept clean. We travel with a toy poodle, which was welcomed to the park. Located out of town a bit by the river in a lovely quiet area away from the road. A peaceful retreat.

G'day Odyssey20311772740, We're glad you enjoyed our powered sites! Our amenities are a little old, yes. They've been there since about... 1990's? We would love to change them to a bigger and more modern block but the only problem we have is what everyone lately has been having.. we just don't have the money. There was some sustainability grants being waved around but unfortunately we weren't able to get one. This is why we installed the cool, four, single ensuites! We feel this helps boost the old amenities block. Call it a "Classic" if you will. We do love the smiles we get when we tell people we're pet friendly! It's very common now for people to travel with their four legged or winged children and we don't mind as long as they adhere to our simple rules. Clean up after them and keep them quiet and under some kind of control. We do hope to see you again next time you're in town, our peaceful retreat, as you called it, is happy to have you! Happy and Safe Travels, The Team at Austin Tourist Park.

We chose a "queen ensuite" cabin and this was in the 'permanents' section of the park. The cabin itself appeared quite new and was spotlessly clean. The staff were super helpful and friendly and did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and would definitely stay here again if in Tamworth.

G'day C584JGjohnh, This was our Frog In a Blender cabin! One of our newest upgrades! I'll let you into a little secret.. we bought this cabin second-hand in 2006.. It's not new at all! But in saying that... it is new. I know this is confusing, bare with me for a minute and I'll explain. So the middle of last year, we found a water leak in the bathroom! Well, this had to be fixed. So we pulled out the walls and the floor, you name it, it was gone! We replaced the shower and toilet, repainted and fixed some new walls and floor in, you'd think that is where we would stop - but no. We then decided to redo the kitchen too! Whole new kitchen, stove top, cupboards, new tiles and paint as well. It was a complete renovate. So it's an old cabin with some upgrades. We're thankful for your kind words about our park and staff and we would be delighted to have you back to stay with us! We would also like to say that the picture of the bedroom with the sun on the bed - Well done. That is a BEAUTIFUL photo and we think it might even appear on our website! Happy and Safe Travels, The Team at Austin Tourist Park.

My daughter and I spent 2 weeks here between rentals in a non ensuite cabin and cannot recommend the Austin highly enough! We were just by the facilities which are kept beautifully clean. The showers were great after a long day at work. No dribbling, sparse shower heads and with fantastic pressure! The laundry is well equipped with plenty of clothes lines for all. The grounds are well kept, the barbecue areas were clean and the staff are all friendly and willing to help where ever they can, you need only ask and they will do all they can to help. Our cabin had all the basics of home, so cooking was no issue. There was plenty of bedding and although cold out, the reverse cycle kept us cosy and warm. Over all, it was a perfect stay and would recommend it to everyone.

We had a lovely stay at this family run caravan park. We were immediately impresses when before our arrival we were sent a couple of alerts of road closures due to flooding (03/21). We felt confident in arriving safely and when we did arrive the sun was out and our drive thru site ready. The feel of the premises was welcoming, the amenities clean and tidy, only a short drive to the cbd. We Certainly would recommend Austin Tourist Park.

G'day Laurette, Thank-you for your lovely words. We try to keep not only our guests safe, but also the emergency service people, so we keep guests informed through text messages, which has been handy for so many different scenarios. It was nice to see the sun out, because we had been wet too - not quite as wet as on the coast - but wet enough that our river rose a bit. It has also meant our town water supply is now over half full, something that in the midst of the drought we never thought would! We love that you four the amenities, clean and tidy and the staff welcoming. See you next time you are in our part of the world. Happy and Safe Travels! The Team at Austin Tourist Park
