Easy friendly check in, great rate, large green site and clean amenities close by. The ensuite amenities were open for us to use when we were there which was really convenient and much appreciated. Just what is needed after a long days drive. Right next door is the Oasis Pub. We dropped in for dinner and the early music on Friday night. Good music and very tasty large homemade pie with wonderfully original chips and salad.

Stayed in one of the cabins and it’d have to be one of the best we’ve had. Had a different floor plan that easily housed the 4 of us without hav8ng to trip over bags everywhere like in other designs. Seems out of town but is easily accessible to all Tamworth’s attractions. Servo and a pub next door for those extra items. We were in school how’s but the rate was extremely reasonable.

Thanks Jason, we love to hear that our tweaks to the cabin design have made people's holidays just that much easier. We are about to renovate an older cabin, and have already made some tweaks to the plan! It is good that the pub is back up and running, we have sent people over there for dinner and haven't had any complaints. Happy and Safe Travels! The Team at Austin Tourist Park

We stayed at this park in January for the Country Music Festival. This was our 12th stay for the festival and our 14th stay overall. I think that probably says it all as we would not keep coming back if it wasn't fantastic.
We had a lovely grassy site down by the river. Whilst the park was packed, we still had sufficient room for our van, awning and car (we have found that this is not always the case at parks during peak periods).
The amenities were always clean and there was always toilet paper and soap (another thing we have not always found at other parks during holiday periods).
There is a swimming pool that allows you to cool off in those very hot January days.
The other thing that really sets this park apart is the staff. We would particularly like to thank Frank, Alison and Phillip for the amazing jobs they do. You can really tell that they take great pride in their park and go above and beyond to keep it neat and tidy. An example of this is when I was returning from a walk at about 7 am on a couple of mornings I saw Frank cleaning up rubbish off the nature strip and not just directly in front of the park but also a little way down the road. After talking to him, it appears as though he does this every day.
They also consider the comfort of their guests, e.g. they erect a marquee for the duration of the festival at the festival bus stop in front of the caravan park so that guests do not have to stand out in the blazing sun.
Check-in was prompt, professional and friendly. They were very organized with a pack of information regarding the festival along with bottles of cold water. They organized a free concert in the caravan park for the night before the official start of the festival which was fantastic.
All in all, we could not find anything negative to stay about our stay and are really looking forward to our stay again next year.

Thanks Marggy! There has been so much great feedback after the Festival, and given we welcomed in over 650 guests across the 12 days you were here, the fact that there are so many positive comments is testament to our incredible staff. Frank has been wandering up and down the highway pretty much since we brought the place in 1982. It is our little bit of keeping the town looking neat and tidy. It also gives him a chance to see the park as a guest would, and he can deal with issues as they arise. See you in 2025! Happy and Safe Travels! The Team at Austin Tourist Park

My daughter and I spent 2 weeks here between rentals in a non ensuite cabin and cannot recommend the Austin highly enough!
We were just by the facilities which are kept beautifully clean. The showers were great after a long day at work. No dribbling, sparse shower heads and with fantastic pressure!
The laundry is well equipped with plenty of clothes lines for all.
The grounds are well kept, the barbecue areas were clean and the staff are all friendly and willing to help where ever they can, you need only ask and they will do all they can to help.
Our cabin had all the basics of home, so cooking was no issue. There was plenty of bedding and although cold out, the reverse cycle kept us cosy and warm.
Over all, it was a perfect stay and would recommend it to everyone.

The staff were amazingly helpful on multiple occasions. We had mechanical problems with our van & with no fuss or charge they enabled us to stay on whilst the auto electricians came to assist. In our haste to get on the road we left a bike lock behind which they located & happily mailed on ahead with an invoice to be paid later. We would recommend this peaceful & beautiful park to anyone.

From booking over the phone later in the afternoon to finding everything we could possibly need in the cabin, Austin tourist park was an absolute find! The cabin has microwave, etc but the added bonuses of frypans, teapot and cooking equipment is really appreciated. The well appointed cabin was a great choice for us to stay in and explore the area. Staff went above and beyond each time we spoke to them even organised a night out for us. The laundry was easy to use and cheap enough. I just hope that we can visit again.

Thanks Garry, lovely words to pass on to our staff, all of whom enjoy having guests stay with us, so they can share the Tamworth and region that they all love and know. It was decided long ago, that our kitchens would have the necessary items so that anyone could whip up something nutritious, whether that be a big or small meal. The teapot was a request many years ago from a guest to have a teapot for their morning cuppa, and we kept them in the cabins, because so many people have commented on them. We would love to see you next time you are in our part of the world. Happy and Safe Travels! The Team at Austin Tourist Park

Welcoming & friendly park with great facilities. We brought our puppy Leo & he enjoyed his stay! Great pool and our cabin was comfortable with a good kitchen & air conditioning. I would highly recommend the park especially with kids (aged 7 & 8) and a puppy. Really enjoyed our stay!

Our first time at the Austin Caravan Park, and during the busy country music festival! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the family ensuite cabin, we had no issues at all from the time we drove into the park. We had a speedy check in and we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin, the mattresses and pillows, and the shower, ie hot water system. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The staff at this camp ground are amazing! They went above and beyond to help and assist us which made our stay unforgettable. The pedal carts were a hit with the children, the location of amenities to the campsites were great and the pool was lovely for all ages. The campground is clean, welcoming and dog friendly. The Austin Park was a great find. Staff were welcoming, professional and accommodating. They were helpful with local weather conditions and roads as we were unfamiliar with the area. We were on a powered site with a camper in the top area (Swift St). It was a lovely well kept grass site conveniently located to facilities. The toilet block is well maintained and very clean.
