Under New Ownership as of October 2018. The Country Capital Motel is centrally located to the CBD, clubs, hotels, shopping centres and the city's excellent sporting facilities. Our 31 rooms have all been totally refurbished in 2010 and we are currently in process of refurbishing again in November 2018. Our rooms are suitable for the corporate traveller, families and sporting or tour groups. Rooms vary in configuration from standard (1 queen bed) through to 2 bedroom suites that can sleep up to 6 in comfort. Breakfast is available in the dining room 7 days. There is plenty of secure off street parking with room for larger vehicles and those with trailers. For cleanliness, comfort, and value, we are hard to beat.

Located just around the corner from the Coles supermarket and shopping centre, Country Capital is in a convenient location not far from central Tamworth. The room is good value and has a private sitting area outside to enjoy the sun with a morning cup of tea. Breakfast is included and is a generous country fare - although seating in the restaurant may be challenging with all the groups gathering there.
If I visit Tamworth again, I'll definitely stay here again.

Country Capital Motel is the best motel in Tamworth, the location is close to many takeaways and restaurants, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, large beds, sofa (in garden rooms), Large television, plus full BREAKFAST included in the price.The staff and family owners are 100% dedicated to their guests comfort whilst staying.
We are regular travelers to Tamworth from out west and this Motel is the best place to call home whilst there.

We were surprised by the level of quality furnishings, from the the table to the comfortable chairs and bed. We had a room at the back and there was very little noise coming from the main road.
Breakfeast was included in the price and to our surprise you could have a cooked breakfast.

On a recent road trip to Canberra my wife and I decided to break our journey in Tamworth. We selected the Country Capitol Motel for its location and amenities. Our room was very well presented and contained all the necessary items such as tea and coffee making facilities, toaster etc. to our surprise a hot cooked breakfast of your choice was also included in the tarrif. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone requiring accommodation in Tamworth.

Located on the Motel Strip a short car trip to centre of town, which is really important if you want to go out for dinner, or shop for food or drink for your overnight stay if you wish to stay in.
We stayed in a King Garden Room, which was great for our needs. A lovely big King size comfortable bed, which was great to lie in and watch a bit of TV before going to sleep, as well as a good night’s sleep. A microwave, kettle, cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, including wine glasses, tea towel and a decent size small fridge. This room has a little terrace to sit outside and relax and to enjoy the morning sun.
Parking is right outside your door. Reception is open at 8am. Closes again 8pm. Check the times on Hotel Website. The staff member on the reception was helpful, friendly and informative.
We had a big day, so decided just to eat in and relax. I drove not even 10 mins to Woolworths, picked up some food I could cook in the microwave, went right into Dan Murphys adjoined.
Unfortunately, after reading all the great reviews on the free breakfast being excellent, we could not participate, as management made the decision not to provide it due to COVID restrictions (safe distancing)….I was really disappointed, but fully understood. We went up into the town centre for breakfast instead and to buy some decent food for the very long road trip to Yass.
Overall, it felt very safe to stay there. We were happy and slept well. Totally what we needed for having had a big day driving to face another big day driving as well. My only negative, was the Motel is on a main road out of town and the traffic noise (large trucks) can be heard inside the room we had, which faced the road behind a hedge. It did slow at 9pm and stopped around 10.30pm and never started again until around 730am. Not so bad, at least you could get some quiet time for a decent sleep. Any Motel along this strip would more than likely have the same problem and also taking into consideration, which room you had and it’s location on the property.
We would still definitely use this little gem again.

My sister and I stayed at the Country Capital for a week in late September. It was a last minute booking and we were very happy with the location and the room. Beds were very comfortable, great pressure in the shower and rooms were well appointed, quiet and spotless.
At a very difficult time in our lives, Sandy and her family were very welcoming and accommodating .....we added several days to our stay without issue. We were warmly greeted at breakfast each morning. I highly recommend the poached egg.

Booked online and arrived 24hrs later. Easy booking in and received a free upgrade to King Room Garden View. Family run business where the 3 comforts of good bed, hot water and hot breakfast are important and this is where this Motel succeeds!
This Motel has been refurbished and our room was clean and had everything we needed. Good storage, very comfortable bed, small lounge, tv that swings out , table with 2 chairs, good lighting and an outdoor setting for that gorgeous sun in the winter morning. Complimentary toiletries as well as tea/coffee and milk was given at booking in.
Breakfast - cereal, toast with condiments and a cooked breakfast with barista made coffee each morning! Choice of eggs (done 3 ways), bacon, sausage, tomato, baked beans cooked to perfection!
A lot of the rooms are on ground level, in 2 separate buildings, along with another 2-storey building which has stairs. This Motel being on the main road into the city centre was very quiet and centrally located to all attractions.
Very friendly, helpful staff that are happy to assist in any way possible, which creates a ‘homely’ feel to this Motel. We were pleasantly surprised at the affordability of this Motel for all it provided us.
We loved our stay here, will return and would thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I stayed one night in a Garden King Room. I unbderstand that many (all?) rooms have been refurbished by the current management, Russel, Sandy and their two children.
Our room was exceptionally comfortable as was the king bed.
All necessary amenities were provided (breakfasts bowls, toaster etc) with a decent sized refrigerator. With an excellent breakfast provided (cereal, toast, tea & espresso coffee to order, and a variety of cooked breakfast options) together with the comfortable room and very reasonable cost one should need look no further than the Country Capital Motel when staying in Tamworth.
I like a quiet room, and when realised that we backed onto the busy Goonoo Goonoo Road I had serious reservations, but the traffic eased at night and with the sliding door to the garden area closed sleeping was not an issue. In case of hot weather the room has a split system A/C which I guess would do the job.
The hosts are friendly and competent, they obviously know the business and provide excellent value.
The motel is a 5 minute walk to the local bowling club (no dinner Mon/Tues) the Longreach Hotel is a 5min drive down the road and the Calala Hotel is about 10 minute drive, all providing meals and drinks.

This is a great motel. I had a room out the back and was so was very quiet - no traffic noise at all Everything very clean. They have a swimming pool and bbq which would be great in summer. The breakfast was excellent! Not very close to the main town area, so probably good to have a car, but would highly recommend to stay at this motel.

Yes Bec, our room had a little bar fridge in it. Just be careful as it was set on minimum cold and I turned it up and it froze our drinks overnight.
