This caravan park is lovely and clean and tidy, fortunately we only have a small van because the space allotted to vans is very compact , space is certainly a premium , great cabins though , the caravan park has bus stops just outside , convenient for travelling downtown or to the interchange for a trip into Canberra . Fantastic toilets and showers and also laundry facilities that are lovely and clean as well - I’d say reasonably new . Nearly everything is automated , picking up your keys and although there was someone in the office - we didn’t see anybody working there , quite disconcerting for us country folk - but a great spot for people with small vans or camper vans don’t go there with a van bigger than 18 ft- and even that was a squeeze down the internal roads as our neighbours had difficulty getting into the space provided for them

Room Tip: Don’t go there if you have a largish van - very compact - well thought out but compact .

What great place to stay. Amenities where clean and the surrounding areas had plenty to offer with supermarkets, cafes and eateries. The river running along side the park allowed for plenty of walks and a large grassed area to site and read or just have a sleep. I would recommend this for any travelers

Rang the number provided by google and got a young lady. Asked if they had any vacancies. So she rattled off Drive through, riverside, standard etc So I said well I don’t know I’ve never been before. So she says you can’t make a booking unless you say what site you want. So I said well ok I’ll drive there shortly and have walk round and make a decision. And this is when the truth started being stretched. She said “it’s a locked site, you can’t get in and we don’t let people wander around. So I said well who is there then ? So it turns out there’s no one here, read other reviews, the whole thing is electronic. You book, pay come, go without there being anyone here. Now the thing is, now I’ve been here, I could have parked outside on the road or inside the property and walked around with all the All Blacks and the Lions because …….. there’s no one here!!!!!! Plus, and you may find this next bit incredible to believe but, there’s a public footpath runs between the river and the caravan park, people are this minute walking their dogs less than a metre from the back of my van !!!! The Wallabies and the Springboks could just wander through the park, take your stuff, set fire to the toilets, because ……. There’s no one here. So, it was all a crock of manure Don’t book until you have gotten, wandered through (with or without rugby teams) make your decision and then book, there’s no one here to stop you and the booking staff have clearly never been here either. Poor, shoddy, untruthful service. Caravan park is OK, toilets etc good. Just gets my goat when people knowingly tell lies And by the way if they say they sent you a text evidently that’s the end of the story even if you didn’t get the text. 12 hours now and still waiting but destined to be disappointed. And very finally, yes indeed the grass and the hard standings are the wrong way round for a standard left (near side) side entrance door and awning. But there no one here to talk about to itv

My wife and I want to give Queanbeyan Riverside Caravan Park (QRCP) a huge shout-out and thank you for the support they gave us with arranging multiple changes in our stay duration from the planned 9 days to one month. Driving in to Canberra we blew the engine in our tow vehicle, and had to work through incomplete diagnoses and multiple repairs over four weeks, extending our stay on the same site several times. We underwent many changes in diagnosis and repair estimate times from the dealer we bought our tow vehicle from, and it was very good of QRCP to enable us to stay in the same site while our tow vehicle was being diagnosed and repaired. We now have a new engine, and arrived home in Traralgon, Victoria at last. We know the caravan park was fully occupied a few times over this period, and appreciate how much trouble you went to to allow us to stay on the same site. Your efforts are a credit to the team there. We will definitely be back!!

Due to road closures out of Kangaroo Valley our route changed to via Canberra. The pics of this site looked very pleasing as you can see from mine. The reality is this is really a glorified car park. The Weir and traffic noise is unpleasant and the fact that any member of the public walking along the river can step into your site most disconcerting. We had to pack all our chairs away overnight. Whenever we opened our door which is at the back of our van, we were greeted with people walking their dogs or running. This park is overpriced for what you get. All that said, it served its purpose of providing an overnight stopover. Would never stay here again. There is an overnight free camp on the Shoalhaven River that would have been a much better option. Very disappointed.

Nice camp ground, very clean and tidy would recommend only downside is contactless everything means it's a bit soul less, and there ground is very hard when hammering in tent pegs. The river walk was enjoyable and there are plenty of other walks in the area.

To start on a positive, the toilets and showers are well maintained, clean and tidy. Now for the rest: The garbage and recycling bins were overflowing when we arrived, and had not been emptied when we left 3 days later. Because there is no-one in attendance, a number of sites were very full with tents and gazebos, with 2 or 3 cars per site. There is a lot of traffic noise from about 5am. Most parks we've stayed in, the caravan is positioned on the hard surface, with the awning over the grass. For some reason, this is reversed here. Leaving me to think the person who designed the lay-out was either European and didn't know the doors on Australian caravans were on the other side, or couldn't tell their left from right. It was just like being in car park.

No problems with the park per se. Overpriced at $80 for a drive through, but to each their own. M<y big concern is the data they collect from you. Standard stuff but why drivers license number and expiry date. Totally unnecessary when you pay in advance the full amount prior to entering the park. I am kicking myself for providing the information, In this age of stolen identity they cannot guarantee my information is safe. I have never had to provide this information at a caravan park before. I have written to them and not received a reply yet as to how my data is kept and demanding it be removed and not shared with a third party. I for one will never stay at a park again that wants this information. Not heard back as yet. This practice should stop forthwith in my opinion.

Clean, tidy and well laid out. Close to shopping centre and bus interchange. Great riverside walk alongside the caravan park that leads to a cafe that offers riverside or garden seating. Certainly recommend this place.

No personnel whatsoever, site assigned via text. The van site was so tight, no room to extend awning once car is parked. The park is completely open to the public - it resembles a car park, absolutely no ambiance. Will give them credit that the amenities were clean. Definitely won’t return.
