An quaint older style Motel with a generous sized room. Has been refreshed in the last few years. It has a very comfortable King sized bed with crisp, clean linen and plenty of pillows. There is a two-seater lounge that faces the TV plus a table and chairs for two with small plates, bowls and cutlery. Aircon was effective. Great hot shower with quality towels. Shower amenities are a bit below par, no body/hand wash and sachets of shampoo/conditioner.
Overall a very impressive establishment with a smooth check in process and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This is an older style motel, with older style decor. The room was clean, the host was nice and you have crockery, toaster, microwave etc, so great to make your own simple breakfast. However, for us the bed was terribly uncomfortable. We prefer a firm bed for our backs and the bed was soft and lumpy and we went away with back pain. If you like a soft bed then this would be ok. Not sure if it was just our room or if all the mattresses are like it. When I checked in the host said he had given us the best room. Made me laugh because I would say all the rooms would be the same!

We stopped over just for one night and had trouble finding a place to stay in and around Canberra as it was really busy. Enjoyed the short stay, rooms were clean and beds comfy. As most of the motels it looked a bit dated but had new TV, microwave and coffee/tea facilities. A nice surprise were the toiletries which I really liked - herbal shampoo and oatmeal sopa - and cookies were a nice touch with the coffee. Price was a bit high but as I said it seemed very busy everywhere. You could order breakfast and they also had a restaurant but didn't bother to use it. Lots of shopping and dining options in walking distance and Canberra is a 15 mins drive.

The room was fresh and clean with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Staff member was friendly and accommodating ensuring that I had everything I needed including extra milk, coffee, and tea. As an aged traveller the ground floor room was easily accessible. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning was easily operated for comfort. Cost of stay was reasonable. I would recommend a stay here. Even though there is no restaurant attached everything is supplied to enable heating and serving of food. The area is very quiet with little or no traffic noise

Thanks to the owner managers, going back to Queanbeyan was like going home. It is always clean and as it offers a microwave, toaster and kettle, breakfast is easy. I was welcomed in the nicest way and nothing i asked for was an imposition. Thanks to Bihm and the staff, I'll be back.

Miss Kitty and I stayed two nights at this motel and were made welcome by the lovely hosts. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location is within walking distance of supermarkets and shops. Also very handy to the Queanbeyan Hospital. We would stay again!

The exterior decor may appear dated, however the room was exceptionally clean, fiited out with up-to-date electronics (free wi-fi, etc) and the enthusiastic, very friendly owner made sure all my needs where seen too. Would not hesitate to revisit or recommend this place to anyone needing accomodation in the area.

I have stayed at Wallaby 8 or 9 times. It's an excellent way to cut my trip in half from Sydney to the Snowies. The Wallaby easily competes with all other hotels in Queenbyn (I've tried over 10) for both price and room quality. The rooms are clean, include a 2 seated couch, bigger bathroom and excellent bed. OK - you might find newer/flashier fittings elsewhere in Canberra however, you pay 2 or 3 times the cost. The best factor that keeps me coming back! It's quiet! Very little traffic noise unlike other hotels. It's definitely worth a look. I'll be coming back every time! Btw.. Pay the little extra for a deluxe room - it's well worth it!

The older style exterior decor of this motel is very clean and well presented. The rooms are crisp and clean, beds good, and modern and ample appliances throughout. Large flat screen tv, microwave, electric kettle cutlery and crockery for light meal preparation is good. Well presented, highly recommend staying here.

I have stayed at the Wallaby a few times this month on business. The Motel is a pleasant surprise, being well situated to both Canberra and the Queanbeyan CBD. The staff are very attentive and friendly and will go out of their way to help you unlike most other places in this price category.
The room I had was nice particularly the bathroom - I like the large walk in shower which is great to soak up the day's troubles. The hotel has wireless internet but they also provide a LAN cable for better speeds.
