Firstly, lets start with the managing couple, vibrantly accommodating, and nothing is too much trouble for either of them! They ensured our stay was a very memorable one indeed, and, in turn play a great part in promoting the Greater 'Port' area, I should hope their contribution is recognised in the wider 'Port' community also!

The Accommodation was over and above to be expected, and my Wife & I were very pleasantly surprised indeed. Everything required is at hand for a self contained stay, and if not catering for yourselves, again, the very professional managing couple possess a wealth of local knowledge on where to go and what to eat!.

Easy walk to a refreshing Pacific Ocean dip...

A fabulous pool and an invigorating spa (Very welcome indeed after 9+ hours at the wheel!) make this a MUST Stay in 'Port'!.

Good sized apartment, on the 3rd floor.

As there is no lift, and no staff around to help, being disabled meant access was not easy, especially as the garage is under the building so moving in and out of the apartment was very hard for us.

There is 1 disabled parking spot on William St, but it was occupied when we needed it.

They have the 'no contact' with staff thing working very well, with signing in, keys and leaving all done by messages.

The apartment was a good size, the beds soft and supporting, the furniture comfortable and all the necessary cutlery etc clean.

If you are hoping for a spa for a couple, you will need to be a very small couple, as the spa in in the shower and small.

We would go back again, but phone first to ensure a ground floor apartment.

Hi 507verityg Thanks for taking the time to review Beachcomber Resort. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed our large, clean, comfortable apartments and found that our contactless check-in procedures work well. As apartments - not a hotel - we do not offer porter services and with the current environment we do need to maintain social distancing rules for our staff and guests. However if guests advise us of any special needs we will make every effort to meet them - such as providing a ground floor apartment. We do also have a very popular, fully accessible apartment available and the parking space at the front of the building is usually in use by these guests. There is also ample street parking on the side of the building with level access to the property - which is great for dropping off guests who wish to avoid using the garage stairs. Regards Beachcomber

This resort is brilliant for families and we have stayed there a few times. We stayed with 3 children and had a very spacious, recently refurbished apartment with full kitchen and laundry and very comfortable beds. Gorgeous sunny pool with lovely surrounding gardens, only a couple of minutes to the beach, and the managers and staff are very friendly and accomodating. There is never any noise at night and it’s great to use the bbq area by the pool for dinner. Easy walk to nearby shops and restaurants, highly recommended.

Lovely resort located close to the CBD and beaches. Underground parking included but it’s a very small lot if you have a big car. We were staying on the top floor and there’s is no lift. The apartment was big with2 balconies and foxtel. 2 things that were issues for us was the bed was so uncomfortable and the ceiling fan made a Constant rattling noise so we had to turn it off overall a good overnight stay. There’s also a lovely pool as well and contactless check in

We have just returned from a month in Australia and spent three days at the Beachcomber Apartments in Port Macquarie.

I would throughly recommend staying at these premises, which are extremely clean, spacious and good value for money. The managers were very helpful and friendly, providing useful local information and always with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

The apartments are surburbly located with views over the Pacific ocean. In our opinion far enough away from the shopping area yet close enough to walk to if desired. The pool is a favorite with children and can be seen from apartment balconies. The first of many beaches was a direct walk across from the apartments and I would recommend an evening stroll alongside the harbour entrance where colourful lorikeets are plentiful in the tree lined walkway.

We were reluctant to leave Port Macquarie because it was a perfect setting for families. When we return to Australia I would certainly make the Beachcomber Apts top of my list to stay at. Check out their website.

We stayed at Beachcomber after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed.

My husband, almost 5 daughter and myself stayed for one night on our return trip to Sydney. We stayed in a fully self-contained 2 bedroom unit.

Bedroom 1 had a queen bed, and the second two standard single beds. There was plenty of room for a third roll away if required. I found the bed to be quite firm. There were two spare pillows provided and a spare blanket.

Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and air conditioning in the living areas.

The bath in our unit was a hip bath with shower over. With very small children this could cause difficulty in bathing them. The bathroom contained heated towel racks and also housed a modern top-loader washing machine and dryer.

The building is ground + 2 upper levels, and our unit was on the 1st floor with ocean glimpses. There are stairs only to get to the floors. If you have trouble negotiating stairs or have a lot of stuff to transport I recommend the ground floor, although it would mean no views of the water.

The pool is divided into 2 areas - a toddler pool, around 30cm deep and a standard pool around 1.4m deep. We did not swim as it was quite cool when we arrived, but it did look very inviting. The toddler pool had shade cloth.

There are two BBQ areas gracing the pool area.

Car parking is undercover.

I asked the staff for assistance and they were very friendly and were able to help without any problems.

I found too that there were adequate starter supplies provided - washing up liquid, dish washer powder, shampoo/conditioner, tea towels, etc. Having stayed in many fully self contained apartments before I have found this to be lacking, but was more than happy at what I found.

I would be happy to stay there again.

We recently stayed at this lovely apartment block. It's location is perfect. Close to town, walking distance to the beach, easy to get around.
The kids loved the heated pool and spa (so did I).
We had a Spa suite and made good use of it. The apartment was well equipped (with the exception of a sharp knife for cooking). It was spacious and quiet and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The wifi was a bit temperamental, but who wants to work on holidays!

After going to beachcomber resort at port Macquarie for over 11 years I've seen it grow. With the previous managers mick and Jude the service was fantastic there friendly atmosphere brought it to be an outstanding resort. The current management is crap! Frankly. I met her only over the phone and her name is Jenny. I never saw them being friendly or giving beachcomber the atmosphere it was once renouned for!! After 11 years on our annual holiday we will not return. Unless the resort is brought back to the cleanlyness which it once had! Mould shouldn't be in the shower neither on the floor! This never happened before!

We stayed in the Beachcomber for a night on our way to Sydney. The hotel itself is in a very nice spot - close to the beach, and also close to the CBD in case you want to grab a meal or a snack. Our room was on the ground floor, which was a shame because we didn't have any sort of view of the ocean, but we couldn't fault the facilities. All the furniture was very clean and well maintained. The room was quite large and contained a kitchen and a good-sized bathroom. The TV was just what we were looking for after a long day on the road, and from memory there was a DVD player as well.

Although we didn't have time to use them, there was a big pool, a ping pong table and a games room for guests to enjoy as well.

All in all, I'd strongly recommend the Beachcomber to those looking for a nice, clean and well-maintained hotel room in Port Macquarie.

It was my 4th time at Beachcomber Resort in 4 times in 4 years come to Port Macquarie for visiting my friends in this area. This year Anette gave me her very warm welcome, she is the new manager. Its the best place for everyone, families and couples and singles. Everything you need for a fantastic stay in Port Macquarie you´ll find here. The appartements are very comfortable and very good furnished. This year I had 2 fantastic views from my 2 balconies I had. Sunrise over the Ocean and sunset on the Backside over PQQ settlement. All rooms were clean, in the kittchen is nothing missing, laundry is in your bathroom, so all comfort from home. The Pool area is fantastic for kids & parents and has enough shadow too. There are 2 BBQ areas and everywhere fantastic wifi. Than 5 min. walk to the Town Beach, 10 to 15 min walk to all the Shops and shopping center and to the Koala Hospital. There are some more good walks around, see the Lighthouse and Zoopark. My alltimes favourite Boat trip for Whale Watching starts here and in 15min you will be on the Boat Booking Shop. Friends can come over for a visit. Heart, what do you want more. Thanks Anette for all your kindness. I will be back next year, be sure!
