This is a motel within Port Macquarie Base Hospital grounds - we stayed as part of hospital surgery. Hubby stayed while I was having surgery. Rooms are huge with every convenience of a great motel - microwave, fridge, wifi, kitchenette plus full use of a large communal kitchen, bbq, outdoor area, etc. parking is behind boom gates & it is a very quiet spot!
I had to stay the night before surgery to enable 6.30am admission & they gave us a king size bed on ground floor with disabled facilities! Very clean & well run!

Fantastic Motel,,, Very clean , and comfortable. Huge room ,Recliner chair, 2 seater lounge chair and 4 seater table,, Comfortable Bed and Big Bathroom.
Huge supply of Tea, Coffee and Sugar, (Unlike other Motels we have stayed at)
People at Front Reception are great.
Walking distance to Main Entrance to Base Hospital.
Would definately stay here again.

This place is fantastic.
I stayed here two nights on the 7th October while my husband was in hospital.
I couldn't believe the size of the room when I walked in.
It had an extremely comfortable king bed, comfortable sofa, kitchenette with microwave and sink, cutlery and crockery, dining table and large bathroom.
The TV had free Netflix as well as another service.
The only issue I had with my room was not the facilities fault.
Someone had set the alarm on the clock for 1am and I couldn't work out how to change it so I had to unplug it at night.
There was a shared common room with a full kitchen and a BBQ on the porch.
There was also lots of outdoor eating areas.
I was fortunate that I could park near my room which was on the ground floor.
There are two two storey buildings and the parking is all on one side of one of the buildings.
The reception staff were awesome. I didn't know exactly how long my husband would be in hospital. They let more book two nights and pay for one initially.
I then paid for the second night and booked the third night. I was able to stay in my room till MD on the third day then move my fridge items to the common room.

Rotary lodge is a very convenient place to stay if you need to go to Port Macquarie hospital. We booked a three night stay. We were allocated a newer unit which we found to be bright and clean. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. It has its own car parking area too. Staff were friendly and helpful and the surrounds were park like. A bonus, there is hardly any traffic noise. We would definitely book again if we had to.

Lovely quiet motel located in the Port Macquarie Hospital grounds. Usually used for those visiting the hospital but I chose it as a stopover on my way south. Clean, no fuss with a comfortable bed. Good value. Very simple amenities, good for the elderly or disabled.

Value for money. We stayed here overnight and the room was so clean and comfortable. Free parking and wifi was cherry on top. Highly recommend this for couples and families. The staff are pretty friendly and helpful too.

The Rotary Lodge was the most pleasant surprise - clean, spacious and very cheap. The motel is located within hospital grounds so is rather far from the city centre and is only suitable for travellers arriving by car. It also means that it’s very quiet so you’ll be able to have a good night sleep – please consider that you are also expected to keep the noise down. The lodge has rooms located in two floors – ground floor and first floor (which is accessible with lift if you have problems with stairs).
The twin room was large, equipped with the dining table and with small kitchen with enough room for comfortably hosting four people. The bathroom was also large making me feel very comfortable. As guest you are expected to clean-up after yourself – wash the dishes and take out the garbage.
The best way to get a cheap room in Rotary Lodge is to make direct reservation via phone (you can find the contact number in several booking sites). Also consider that the reception is open only until 1 pm but if you are arriving later you just have to call-in within opening hours and the friendly staff will make it possible to check-in anytime you want.

Very clean, motel like accommodation. My rooms has 1 double bed & 1 single bed. A small fridge and tea making facility is provided. Please note, it is located within Port Macquarie Base Hospital grounds. I believe the intended guests are patients & families having treatment there.

This is just a cheap roadside hotel off the main highway when you need a bed. Basic all round and OK for an overnight stay. Located adjacent a noisy 24 hour hospital, don't expect too much sleep without earplugs.
If you are looking for a holiday spot then this will not suit you, get a tent instead.
Peak season was $120 and the next cheapest hotel was $300 and definitely NO POOL as shown on many booking sites !!
