This accomodation was very good. It has a very functional kitchen and BBQ to be able to prepare our own meals at home. Being on the road it is important to have a home away from home.
The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer in the bathroom was extremely handy.
This definitely is not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs throughout the apartment and the bedrooms are upstairs

Shelly beach resort has all the amenities you require for a great family getaway. Kids were well entertained with the resort pool, spa and games room with ping pong, air hockey, basketball & billiard table. Lots of things to do and close walk to shelly beach. Supermarket is a short drive close to tacking point lighthouse which provides a great view while doing your errands. Looking for a trail walk, Sea Acres Rainforest is close to the resort. Overall it was an enjoyable easter getaway for the family.
Highly recommended.

Although families with children appeared to be enjoying the pool and recreation areas, this 3-star hotel isn't suitable for couples, the elderly, people with disabilities or small children. The layout (bedroom and bathroom up a narrow circular staircase) is not easily accessible and could pose a danger to toddlers. The downstairs area is roomy. There is secure parking right next to each individual townhouse. Unfortunately, our entire townhouse smelled strongly of moisture and mould. I suspect the management knew this as, when we arrived, all the windows were open and two fans were on. The smell was particularly bad upstairs in the bedroom and the mouldy scent also came out of the bedroom A/C upstairs which made it highly unpleasant to even be in that room. There is no A/C downstairs but we had a nice cross breeze - we slept with doors and windows open (screens locked) due to the smell. Although our interactions with the staff were pleasant enough, it certainly felt as if the level of care wasn't there, which is also reflected in the room. The pots and pans were so scratched that we opted not to cook and the little niceties, like a hand towel in the bathroom, were not included. You are also given a list of instructions on arrival, including how to dispose of your own rubbish. Not a good experience for us but perhaps this motel is better for a family holiday.

Went there with family on a work/family event.
I go to port on a regular basis to to work some times take family if on weekend.
Previously stayed at flyns and it was amazing.

This time we went to and flyns was booked out.

“Shelly’s” what a nightmare, we arrive and the place looks like housing commission converted to apartments.

Never the less we went in, unpacked then went to shops brought groceries, at about 9pm I went to go to bed and noticed when I lifted the sheets their was droplets of blood on the sheet. I tried to ring reception they didn’t answer so I sent them picks.

The philpino lady and man came in and started to tell us it’s rust, i said it doesn’t look like rust then lifted more sheets and found a massive back oily stain on the need sheet they got really mad and started to tell me it’s a washed stain, I lifted that sheet and the stain had gone through the bed at that point I got mad and both them and I were yelling. This is the most disgusting place I had been every thing was sticky and old.

We left that night did not sleep their and wouldn’t refund the 3 nights we paid for we drove all the way back home got back by 12pm with little kids sleeping in the car

Do not go their I I will be calling the health department. I don’t like to write review and base it over an incident however this place is gross and no family should consider going their

Very poor quality town house with an unpleasant smell throughout the apartment although lots of notices had been posted not to cook anything 'smelly' in the kitchen. There is no proper ventilation to the kitchen area and inside the apartment it is gloomy and smelly. Carpets are probably 30-40 years old and would smell really bad if wet. Not even a bottle of hand wash had been provided in the kitchen during these times of Covid-19. Obviously no hand sanitiser was to be seen anywhere.

Kitchen appliances are decades old. The fans are broken.
All town houses are run down and hardly any space for a family of 4. The spiral stairway is not child friendly at all and elderly cannot climb up either. We had a terrible stay and were counting the days to come back home. The management is rude and seemed racist as well. They are very eager to ensure that people adhere to their rules but no facilities at all in their apartments. It is the first time we stayed in an apartment which had so many 'rules of usage' notices displayed but all because it is a shabby old place. Air conditioning is present only in bedrooms. We had our worst holiday ever in this terrible apartment and would never recommend this place to anyone.

Worse than living at home with poor lighting, unstable dining table and sink in chairs made meal times so unenjoyable. There's no air con downstairs, only one standing fan to cover the whole area. Just barely survived the summer heat. Beds were comfy, Townhouse was clean and good wifi. Overall didn't like the stay.

We stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. It provided great amenities - kitchen, laundry & wifi. The only watch out is the spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms is narrow. It was clean and within walking distance to Shelly Beach. Great place to relax. Close to many food options.
