Had a very relaxing and enjoyable three-night stay. Quiet location, tranquil views, well appointed room with a very high standard of cleanliness. Owner and chef Leo prepared meals of a very high quality and is open to any suggestions. Jennell is an excellent host, very welcoming and makes you feel like you are at home, with some nice personal touches. She and Leo are always available if you need them but are very non-intrusive. Everything about Ana Mandara was perfect. The location is divine, sitting on the balcony overlooking the water with a welcome glass of champagne is instantly relaxing and a great way to start your stay.
The rooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean, Jennell and Leo have thought of everything and ensured that you will have everything that you need during your stay.
The food is an added bonus, we took advantage of the inhouse dining for dinner and were so glad we did. Leo cooked a beautiful 3 course meal and it was great to not have far to go at the end of the night. Likewise, breakfast the next day was lovely and a bite sized sticky date pudding was a perfect finish to a very tasty breakfast!
Ana Mandara has everything going for it, great location, beautiful rooms and fabulous food but the jewel in the crown has to be the hosts, Leo and Jennell.......a warm, friendly couple who obviously strive for perfection and deliver on every count.

I don’t always believe that things appear when you most need them, but when Ana Mandara Luxury Bed and Breakfast came to our rescue last minute my faith was completely refreshed in so many ways. Ana Mandara lives up to its name straight up – “a beautiful refuge”. Hours from home after an awful experience with another source of accommodation and ringing around the entirety of the seemingly completely booked out Port Macquarie late Saturday afternoon in panic; Jenelle’s pleasant voice answered my calling. With nothing but reassurance she gave us directions and waited for our arrival, greeting us with such elegance and positivity. Immediately our senses were blown away by the sheer cleanliness and beautifully sweet and earthly lemongrass that wafted through the air. The room was impeccable. King bed, quality linen, soft pillows and many personal touches that would be enough to touch any romantic. Fresh white roses from the garden greeted us with our daily linen change and room tidy. The bathroom was spacious, modern and fully decked out including aromatic bubble bath and salts for the spa bath. A beautifully peaceful area with breathtaking views of the calm and serene Hastings River, a warm inviting lounge area, beautiful garden touches all a stone’s throw away from Settlement Reserve. It is also only a short drive to Port’s shopping centers, restaurants, bars and beaches - the location couldn’t have been more ideal! If that isn’t enough to entice you, enter Leo. Leo is the resident chef, with a soulful personality and incredible talent absolutely nothing was too hard or a bother (including my dietary dislikes and allergies!) 3 course breakfasts awaited us each morning with the utmost highest quality fresh ingredients used. We also attended a 5-star dinner which was nothing short of exquisite. You really do not need to go looking for food places when the best is literally under the same roof. Jenelle’s coffee making skills are a delight to any coffee fanatic and her hot chocolates are nothing short of a big warm hug. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and really personalised the experience to all of their guests present. After an incredible 3 nights of pure calm and relaxation, being treated like absolute royalty the entire time - it was time to leave. The only disappointment we had was realising we couldn’t take Leo and Jenelle home with us. As hosts their hospitality is grand, but we also left feeling like we were saying goodbye to dear friends who genuinely cared about us every step of the way. This is a beautiful accommodation which my husband and I can highly recommend to anyone travelling to Port Macquarie. Leo and Jennell were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. The view from our room and the guest room was absolutely gorgeous and tranquil often seeing yachts and boats cruise by. Leo prepared a delicious first class (3 course) breakfast which we enjoyed devouring on the balcony overlooking the river and we even saw some dolphins swimming past. The actual room was very modern and extremely clean. I commend Leo and Jennell on a job well done and wish them every success with the future of this B&B. Do yourselves a favour folks and treat yourself next time you are around the area.

If your going to port Macquarie you MUST stay here! Rooms, service, location, food and most of all their hospitality was all spectacular and above most 5 star resorts we’ve visited. Jennell and Leo are more then happy to help you find/ book a beautiful restaurant to eat at, give you the best beaches to visit and wonderful things to do in port. Ana Mandara has beautiful views of the river from both the communal area and the bedrooms. The hosts Jennell and Leo are wonderfully welcoming, and every request is met with generosity. The food is delicious and any special dietary requirements are catered for. The entire property is scrupulously clean and well maintained. Many little extra touches are provided, making it a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway destination. It's a quick trip into town, where there is a wide range of dining and activity options. Just lovely!

Beautifully situated along the bend of Hastings river with panoramic views from the balcony....ideal when having an evening glass of wine or the gourmet breakfast. We stayed here for 1 night last night as part of the “Christmas in July” escape, and we had a wonderful time. We had the pleasure of meeting Jennell and Leo, who are two of the loveliest people you will ever meet. When we arrived, we sat outside and had champagne and a beautiful birthday cake that Jennell had arranged on request for my fiancé’s birthday. It was so relaxing.
Leos cooking was out of this world- Fresh ingredients, home-made, delicious, cooked to perfection. He will make you anything you want, nothing is a problem.
We had a river view room with a large, comfortable bed, and we had a great nights sleep. Plenty of teas and coffees in the room and we enjoyed watching some Netflix after dinner. Nice balcony to sit outside with a cuppa if you want.
I enjoyed a lovely bath after dinner which was big to lye in, and the little extras provided which was a lovely touch (bath salts, bath wash, tea light candle). Great choice of aromatherapy in the bathroom. Soft, clean towels and robes provided.
Breakfast the next morning was laid back and relaxed. We had a beautiful starter with oats and yoghurt and fruit followed by the tastiest omelette we ever had, plus blueberry muffins and coffees and juice. Trust Leo when he makes food recommendations because that’s what we did and I can say that you won’t be disappointed. There was no rush in checking out.

Without doubt the best vacation I have ever had. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Jennell & Leo. Names neatly laid out on the bed and with my favorite chocolate Lindt which also we then got every night before bedtime. The next 18 days of our stay would be heavenly bliss. Positioned in pristine Settlement point road you are only minutes away from the town center, ferry and endless beaches. Each day started with having a 3 course breakfast overlooking the water, sometimes spotting the dolphins as they swim on the river. Then to touring the city assisted with their recommendations. How could we resist the fabulous meals prepared by Leo himself for dinner? We even had the pleasure of spotting roos so close from the balcony whilst watching the sun set. It made our vacation so worth the trip. From fishing and crabbing with Leo to helicopter trips with Jennell (picked up and dropped off in front of the house as well). Not forgetting the staff who were extremely friendly with attention to detail. We had 18 great days here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Leo who went out of his way on my last day to make me the Banana flambe (thankyou so much). Do not miss out on the meals prepared by Leo as it is 5 star cuisine. If you are ever considering a place to stay in Port Macquarie look no further as Ana Mandara has it all.

It is always the little things that can make a difference to guests stays, in your case a Lindt chocolate nightly and on arrival. Our team are magnificent and we pride ourselves in selecting the right friendly, professional people who suit the high level of expectation imposed on them to meet the level of service we require. Thank you for also acknowledging them!. Yes Leo's breakfasts and dinners are worth the experience and as you know they are specifically tailored to meet the taste buds and dietary requirements of our guest. Leo is the "hunter gatherer" by fishing daily for fresh fish and also mud crabs! He also sources local produce wherever possible. Port Macquarie is a fabulous place to live and for visitors to enjoy, we love sharing our town with visitors. Port also offers many attractions, coastal walks, wineries and just anything you are interested in is in Port. You both ventured into everything offered to you to experience Port at it's best. With wildlife from the backdoor or balcony, to your own personal inhouse Chef, we try to accommodate everyone's interest. Reading the reviews we were a bit unsure how true they could really be, sounded to good to be true. To say our stay was outstanding is an understatement. Wanting to escape and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary whilst enjoying some dining and drinks amongst the Covid restrictions Port Macquarie seemed a good choice. Ana Mandara whilst not close walking distance to town provided a very relaxed and beautiful outlooks across the water. Truely beautiful. Leo and Jennell are beautiful, warm and welcoming it’s their home and they have created a wonderful environment and unique experience. The food was amazing. We ate in 2 of our 4 nights, treated to delicious home cooking but of fine dining quality. We were pointed in the right direction for eating and sightseeing. They even dropped us off into town for dinner!
The accommodation is terrific. Large room, comfy bed, beautiful bathroom and an amazing river view. The lounge area with fire allowed us to bunker down one day, reading, cheese platter and wine whilst it rained outside.
We loved it and we have made new friends, our wonderful hosts who ensured our anniversary was memorable.
