We recently spent three nights at the Mid Pacific. Our main reasons for choosing this hotel was the very good room rate we received and its excellent location, including free parking, right in the centre of Port Macquarie.
Our room was a refurbished room. I believe not all the rooms have been refurbished, so you might wish to check with the hotel's management for the best room. Ring them direct for a better room rate.
Our room was not overly large, but plenty of room for two with not a lot of luggage, a small outside balcony with a couple of chairs, overlooking the river.
Comfortable bed with all the necessities you expect in a good motel (flat screen TV, free WiFi (although we could not log in to it), tea & coffee making facilities, split system air-conditioning.
Hotel rooms are spread over three levels, but there is a lift so you don't have to climb stairs.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Pretty much everything about it was great. Think retro hotel revamped with clean modern furnishings. The location really can't be beaten and the way the rooms are arranged, it feels very spacious without using much space. The little balconies are comfortable with an excellent view of the river. We especially enjoyed seeing dolphins breaching from the balcony! The rooms catch quite a good breeze, however, to make the most of it, you need the front door open. A suggestion to management to install a vent or window on the eastern side to allow air flow. We only used the air con when we had to have the door closed - and it was very warm, except the breeze made it comfortable. Suggest guests seek a room on the beach side for the view and for the privacy. The spa and pool is not huge, but does the job and has a commanding view. Bed and bedding was lovely. The 'kitchen' area is almost a decent kitchenette except it's a bit tricky having to use the bathroom sink with a tap that is not good for washing dishes, but we managed fine. Loved the shelving above the microwave which was a handy place to put our food. Shout out to the friendly reception staff. Finally, guest laundry was handy. $3 per wash, with dryer free.

A good value hotel in a very convenient location. Even though we had a bit of rain the spa room meant we could still enjoy a swim and watch the world go by. Room was clean and spacious enough for two and beds were comfortable. This is an older venue and bathrooms were clean but average and needed some attention ( door paint was peeling off and toilet seat was cheap and creaky)
The hotel offered complimentary use of push bikes & umbrellas and staff were friendly and helpful.

The motel was in a fantastic location, within close walking distance to the main shopping area and lots of restaurants. I had a 2 night stay and booked the “sweet sleeper” and had a room on the 3rd (top) floor with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. The sound-proofing was good: I could not hear any outside noise in the room. The air con worked well and the shower had great water pressure.
There was plenty of parking space at the motel mid week, with some spaces under cover- reassuring when storms, wind and hail was forecast. You can leave your car and walk when going for dinner or shopping. They also have bikes you can ride, but it rained during my stay so I didn’t make use of them.
The staff were friendly. It is clear they care about being COVID safe, with sanitizers near the lifts on all floors and they clean the room key before giving it to you.
I enjoyed my stay and would definitely chose to stay here again next visit.

This hotel has a great location in downtown Port Macquarie and is within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants. The coastal walk is right outside the door.
The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Port Macquarie

We stayed here last year and were pleased with the accommodation, so decided to book in again for an overnight stay on our way back to Sydney. We had a long drive as we needed to reach the Queensland/ NSW border before the shutdown. We arrived late but the room key was left in a key box and Ian sent me clear instructions so it was easy to get into the room. Thank you for that.
The room was clean & obviously had recently had new carpets fitted. The small kitchen area is ideal especially as restaurants were closed at this time.
There are new people running the hotel since last year and they are very pleasant & helpful.
Would definitely recommend this hotel & I’m sure we will return & hopefully spend longer than just one night.

The location is excellent, rooms clean however at $295 per night I would expect room services daily. The cited COVID as the reason for this but I find that excuse wearing thin as we are currently under no restrictions. They said to just “yell out” to housekeeping if I saw them out of the balcony if I needed anything such as towels or toiletries during the stay. I didn’t see any housekeeping and ran out of things like toilet paper, again at $295 per night I shouldn’t have to chase these basics.

The Wi-Fi is terrible and trying to watch anything on the streaming services will result in constant buffering.

They are also register to accept the government stay and parent vouchers however charged the full amount before check in so you have no opportunity to use the vouchers.

I was so pleasantly surprised with the Pacific Suite and particularly the views from the private balcony. I'm pretty sure we were in the best room in the entire hotel, being on the top level with water views. Port Macquarie didn't disappoint with it's gorgeous Winter sunsets. The room was clean and spacious. The two queen beds very, very firm (my only complaint). The towels are larger than usual hotel towels and shower toiletries are provided in pump bottles in the shower. This was not a problem for me personally, but the toilet was located very close to the wall The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are heaps of restaurants within walking distance. There is a breakfast room service delivered in the morning upon request, photo of menu and prices. Also easy access to the esplanade walking path behind the hotel. The hotel outdoor pool looked lovely, but it was too cold in August for us to swim.
I was able to use a NSW "Stay Voucher" to pay for part of the room charge which was the reason I chose to try this hotel and I'm very glad I did! I will return for future holidays.

Friendly welcome, cleaning staff very friendly and very good at their job. Also off street parking and Right on the water. The rooms are exceptionally clean. They are small but well set out and the balcony a great place to sit with a nice view. A lovely pool area. Great location to town with an easy flat walk to centre. This hotel was recommended to us and tho it is good we were a bit disappointed. The bathroom really needs more updating, it was a struggle to flush the toilet. The bed moves a lot if one person moves, not good for light sleepers. The aircon was needed as it was very steamy but the unit on the balcony rattled and vibrated. The smell when we entered the room was not pleasant it smelt like the place hadn’t been aired in a long while. We opened all doors but found when we went out and closed up the smell was still there each time. We could not move rooms as they were fully booked. Our friend did say she was on the upper floors and the room was fully renovated with no problems and an excellent view. I would stay again but would definitely ask for a room on the upper floors.

Great location right on river front.
Refurbished apartments on top floor have great view (and improved kitchenette) -but you don't get much space for your money - tiny wardrobe.
Good through ventilation from door to balcony

We were on the 3rd floor with a stunning view from the balcony. The 3rd (top) floor is actually the 4th floor because the ground floor is used for car parking / reception. So get used to 4 flights of steps or a rather cramped lift.

Hi we do have a parking space in front of a lawn area, so it might be possible to back the kayak trailer onto that area, it would depend on the time of the year you are intending to stay. If you can please email on the web page link or phone on 02 65832166 Thankyou.

this motel has limited drive through parking spots for cars with trailers but they cannot to my knowledge be reserved. we parked next to our a trailer in the outside parking which they were happy with but another guest decided to move the trailer late at night. While this was a minor inconvenience to us it was a violation of our vehicle which may have caused damage to other cars and motel property. the managers were not helpful. use a wheel clamp if you have one.
