In spite of some incredible places we always seem to stay at the Village. Its central location and proximity to services was the main reason at first. It has now become more of a destination with the addition of cellar doors and distillery. This time we stayed in King suites and as usual, were comfortable and quiet. The bbq facilities near to our rooms were a definite bonus after degustation lunches. We look forward to our return.

Stayed at Pokolbin Village this weekend for my birthday and can honestly say it was a delight. We were upgraded for free to a larger house and it exceeded my expectations. Massive dining rooms, bedrooms, 2 large living rooms. Massive kitchen stocked with plenty of tea coffee and sugars. An amazing arrange of appliances (blender, kettle, microwave, oven etc). The main lounge room TV was massive, complete with Netflix and YouTube access which came in handy when we had a cold rainy day to sit and binge watch movies all day. The second lounge room had a DVD player too. Two fire places, inside and outside. The outside area was gorgeous with multiple outside decks, including a table and chairs to bring your food and drinks outside to enjoy the sunset/sunrise. There was also huge comfy bean bag chairs to sit around the fire pit. The beds inside were big king size beds, which were super comfortable and the pillows were just as comfy too. 4 out of the 5 bedrooms has ensuite bathrooms and 1 of them also had a spa bath! We were lucky enough to also have heaps of kangaroos come close to our house too! Pokolbin village also has a petting farm with lots of animals including, horses, chickens, pigs, bunnies, lambs, turkey’s, chickens and donkeys! There is also a general store, bottle shop, cafe, smelly cheese shop and a chocolate fudge store here aswell. General store came in handy when we needed some fresh eggs, bread and milk for breakfast. However a drive into town is only a 15 minute drive if you want to do a proper grocery shop! All in all if was an absolute delight staying here and would absolutely return and recommend!!

If you are looking for "great" vineyard accommodation, this is not for you. BUT, the rooms are big, the beds king size and comfortable, lots of seating, lounges and armchairs, plus a veranda. Several eateries within 100m walking distance plus shops, delicatessen and bottle shop (with good specials and high end Hunter wines available) just down the path.

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. It is a shame that prior owners removed the Vines that once graced across our 100 acres. However, we happy to be centrally located and surrounded by some of the biggest and best in the NSW wine industry, along with some amazing restaurants, cafes and everything in between. A little hidden gem located on our property is the Pokolbin Bottle Shop, where you will find a vast range of local wine producers (and get 10% off if you're staying onsite!)

We stayed a year ago but just realised I had forgotten to write a review. We had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and perfect for what we needed. The grounds were lovely to walk around. I loved being close to the little shops and the staff were incredibly lovely and helpful.
