Wow, great place to stay. Has everything and more. Walk to Bimbadgen winery, beautiful views over vineyard and sunset. Kangaroos on the grass, lots of open space. Easy drive to close winery’s. Comfortable, warm gas fire, air conditioning, quiet, front and back balcony’s. Easy access for parking and unpacking car. Lots of different rooms. Will come back again. Parking is open air for car lovers but safe. Set back from road, minimal road noise. Fireworks from wedding venues at night. Great short stay of 2 nights 10/10

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of the Easter holidays. On first glance we were disappointed because we expected all hotel rooms to have a good view, but we found our outlook was into the back of another row of rooms. We asked if we could upgrade to a room with a better view but the manager was not interested in engaging on this subject or even trying to accommodate the request. The room that we stayed in was shabby and not as clean as I would expect given the Covid 19 requirements that exist at the moment - the quilt had dirty stains on it and there was dust throughout and glass surfaces hadn't been properly cleaned. There was no option to have our room serviced, towels or bedding changed or extra toiletries delivered to the room and while the owners may consider this "eco-friendly" I consider it bad service and opportunistic! In addition, there was no in-room wifi, no restaurant facilities and on the one occasion that we tried to use the "common area" to play on the worn out pool table, we were told we had to leave because there was a private function later that evening and we weren't allowed to be there!! Three nights cost us nearly $1,000 for a one bedroom unit and we feel ripped-off and won't be staying there again.

Response from HBoutique Hotel, General Manager at H Boutique Hotel
Responded 4 weeks ago
Thank you for the review of our property, we hold ourselves to high standards here at H and it seems we did not live up to this during your stay, for which we apologise. During the holidays we are extremely busy, and the rates do increase as with all other hotels in the country during these periods. We did not receive any feedback during your stay on the state of the room, if it were myself I would have got a refund and left as soon as I got in with what you have written, you obviously were unhappy from the get-go due to the villas you prefer not being available. I wonder why you felt it impossible to give us this feedback in person when you checked in, especially during these times when cleanliness is so important, we go the extra mile to ensure all villas are of a high standard, and would of loved to get things right for you while you were actually here. Please note we advertise quite clearly we do not service our villas until the third morning of your stay, most hotels in the area are 7 days, we find we are in a happy medium with this offering. Should these services be crucial to your stay, please read the listing carefully on what is offered, do not assume all hotels have identical services, they do not. We also advertise in our in room booklets that for $60 you can have your room serviced whenever you wish, and we would of been happy to provide extra amenities or linen, had we been asked to. Our eco friendly credentials come from the fact we harvest all of our own water and electricity using off-grid systems, also processing waste water on site, this has absolutely nothing to do with not giving out extra toiletries etc. We do not advertise that we have a restaurant anywhere on our listings, not sure why one would even complain about a service that was not promised? Our common area is only open for guest use while staff are on site, and yes it was after 5pm on a Sunday (office was closed) and we had a function on site that night (we did not take away any advertised services to hold this event). We allow guests to use this space as a bonus, we may re-consider this if it will only cause this type of feedback.

The Villa accommodation was very good. However the first evening we were kept awake by horrid banging music noise (lathough it is an insult to call it music) from teenagers having a party. the management were finally able to subdue them at 11.30pm. The next morning we were disgusted when the manager on checking out said "no one else complained"....... NOT THE CORRECT ATTITUDE MR MANAGER.

Great place to stay when in the area. One bed apartment with everything you need. There is air conditioning for the summer and a gas fire for the cooler months. Views to the Brokenback Ranges make this a wonderful place to stay. From the time we arrived to time of check out, Matthew made sure we were welcome and ensured our needs were met. Would stay again.

The location is great -walking distance to Binbadgen Winery and 10min drive to town. Needs a bit of an update and most importantly a clean . Cups were dirty and the box the coffee and tea was in was so old and never been cleaned as well as the tea bags always breaking. Studio is nice though and very spacious with a heater and aircon however we did leave a empty pizza box on the counter and the next day their was so many ants.
