Sitting right at the gateway to the Hunter Valley in Kelman vineyard, the cooperage was a truly wonderful B and B experience. Unfortunately the vineyard cellar door wasn’t open but there are so many vineyards scattered around the property anyway. Warren showed us around the property when we arrived, and the next day Gay went out of her way to show set up a detailed itinerary for the day along with places to visit, to eat and take great photos from. Breakfast was delicious and I wouldn’t hesitate to return again in the future

Our first stay in a b&b and couldn’t be happier. Our lovely hosts Gay and Warren were fabulous. We stayed in the Shiraz room, which shared a balcony, was very cosy and private if needed. Walked around the estate and had a cheese platter whilst tasting the beautiful wines from Kelman wines. Highly recommended

What a great weekend away in the Hunter! The Hunter Valley Cooperage B&B was absolutely perfect. The estate that the b&b sits is lovely & peaceful with nice places to walk, have a picnic and just relax. The location is close to at least 2 cellar doors within walking distance (Kelmans & Saddler Creek) and a short drive to many others and restaurants. The hosts were lovely and very helpful in making our stay comfortable. Our room was cozy and led out to a shared deck that overlooked the vineyards, which was my favorite spot to have a morning coffee. The breakfast served each morning was incredible and made our stay even more special! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Booked at the last minute and the hosts were kind enough to wait for us to arrive from Sydney. Despite arriving an hour or so later than promised, we were greeted with a smile and had a wonderful cosy room waiting for us. Breakfast was better than fine dining ... the property is gorgeous. The hosts are kind and make the stay well worth it! The surrounding estate is cozy! With so many choices in the Hunter; make it easy by choosing this place .. Definitely worth a stay!

We stayed with another couple for three nights touring the Hunter Valley. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions of wine tours, restaurants and interesting places to visit. They have lived in the Hunter for 20 years so are experts! We had very comfortable rooms which opened onto a patio. Breakfast was outside on the patio and a different breakfast was served every morning - beautifully cooked and presented! There was a very large lounge area for relaxing and interesting books to read! Very central location set amongst the vines.

Hunter Valley Cooperage B&B sits within Kelman Vineyards with beautiful views all around! We had a wonderful 2-night stay in Gaye and Warren’s custom architecture home with large windows looking over the vineyards. Gaye provided excellent recommendations for viewing sites and wine tasting at all the local vineyards, and she doesn’t tell you she is really a master chef when it comes to breakfast! Best eggs Benedict that I’ve ever tasted and the ricotta pancakes and side course fruit and yogurt dishes are worthy of a top notch restaurant! Despite the record heat outside on our second day, we were very comfortable and enjoyed hopping in to several vineyard cellar rooms! Thank You Gaye and Warren for our short visit to Hunter Valley !

We stayed for 2 nights in late December. The property is beautiful, situated in a vineyard which is very peaceful, The room we stayed in was gorgeous, with a very comfortable bed, and access to a veranda where you could sit and enjoy the view. Gay and Warren are excellent, helpful hosts, with lots of suggestions of where to go and local knowledge. The breakfasts on offer are delicious and filling. Highly recommend.

I visited Cooperage B&B on Boxing Day with two friends for a ladies night away in the Hunter. Gaye and Warren were such amazing hosts, friendly, inviting and hospitable. We were greeted warmly as we entered their home on arrival. Our hosts were so knowledgable with great advice on places to see, restaurants to visit and things to do during our stay which was extremely helpful. We were so delighted by our stay in our gorgeous cabin style room outside of the main house. Immaculately presented rooms with clean amenities. Lovely country style decor, comfortable bed and furnishings. Felt like the Little House on the Prairie. Amazing and delicious breakfast included in our stay. My friend who is gluten free was accommodated with her dietary needs without a problem. Wonderful theatre room with a great selection of DVD's. I gather it would be amazing to stay in Winter with use of their fireplace. Open plan lounge looks out to views of the vineyards. We had a sneak peak into the rooms in the main house, which I would highly recommend as they are beautifully appointed and quite luxurious. Overall a very cozy, relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would love to return for another visit next time I'm in the Hunter. Thank you, Gaye and Warren for making us feel at home, in your gorgeous home.

Cooperage B&B May be hidden but well worth a visit. A beautiful home in a private estate is very comfortable, rooms with en-suite are plenty big enough, doors open to large balcony. Huge open area for everyone to come together, even a cinema room to watch movies Lovely hosts & we hope to return one day - slight hiccup with the hot water but with pumps, they can be replaced or repaired!!!!!
