Great location - close to nice restaurants and vineyards, yet still very private. We were very pleased with the selection of food in the fridge - little cheese platter, bacon, eggs, beautiful fresh milk (AMAZING!), bottle of wine etc. Rooms were clean, unfortunately bathrooms were a bit stinky. Also on the sofa there was a little blood stain which was not very pleasant. Over all our stay in Billabong moon was nice and we enjoyed it.

"The property was great and arriving with it all set up thanks to Hunter concierge was a special treat." What a special place all the comforts needed to unwind and relax. It's the little details that made the weekend the fireplace fishing rods and comfy lounge.

My partner and I just got back today from a perfect two night getaway at billabong moon's artist studio. It was absolute bliss, a beautiful little cottage, very cozy & felt all of the luxuries. Quietly nestled into the trees for extra privacy, we didn't see anyone else at all on the property our entire stay. After not reading the website thoroughly & none of the emails mentioning it, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a beautiful little cheese platter and fresh breakfast ingredients ready and waiting for us. The fresh cows milk was divine! And the fire was even already build for us & ready to light! Only thing missing was a small throw blanket for a cuddle on the couch and some candles that had a little more left of them. Having a choice between red & white wine…

This accommodation is in a really good location. on the same street you will find loads of wineries and it is very central. The little touches were great. Lots of coffee pods, yummy food in the fridge (bread cheese muesli etc) it has clearly had a revamp recently with new couches and accessories. It was a great stay however I feel a touch over priced. A friend stayed in a place nearby with lots of the same beautiful touches for less than half the price. In saying that though, there was nothing to fault about Billabong moon :)

I went to Billabong Moon last year and it was just fabulous...clearly the new owners had a high standard to meet!!!! On returning for our second visit, it was good, but lacked the finesse of our previous visit: 1. No bathrobes...that was a hard hit! 2. Could you spare the expense of more then 2 towels for 2 people for 3 days? (This made the hit harder!) 3. When you say there is a gourmet breakfast hamper included it would be ideal if you followed through with that.(however, the refund of money plus extra was appreciated) 4. It's Winter therefore an extra blanket would not go astray. It's these little extra touches that can make a romantic getaway a fabulous getaway. It is such a beautiful spot and a waste to be let down by lack of service. My hope is for these little, but…

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate all guest comments as this allows us to work closely with the Housekeepers and Owners to refine details of the property to allow guests an ultimate experience. All cottages should have extra warm blankets and two sets of towels for any stay of a longer duration of 2 nights. We can only apologise that this is not what you found. We have added extra blankets to that cottage and spoken to our housekeepers to ensure guests are all comfortable during their stay at Billabong Moon. Our website advertises inclusions “a bottle of premium wine and local cheese pack, fresh filter coffee, chocolates and a hearty gourmet continental breakfast” and apologise this may have led to expecting bacon and eggs as previous Owners had supplied. As you are aware, we now supply a local produce hamper, which is inclusive of Morpeth Sourdough ciabatta loaf & deluxe muesli, Udder Farm full cream milk & yoghurt, East Coast freshly squeezed juice, Berenberg jams & Rayners Orchid stone fruit. We also offer a cheese pack from Binnorie Diary with brie, vintage cheddar, fromage and water crackers. Bathrobes for our guests are something we are sourcing at present as well as other luxury touches for the cottages. We are also updating all the cottages at present with new furnishings and soft furnishings and should you return to Billabong Moon, we would love to ensure your next stay is perfect. My husband and I stayed in the treetops cabin for two nights. We are itching to go back as it was the most relaxing getaway we've been on. Each cabin is perfectly located seperately from one another. We were given a delicious breakfast hamper as well as wine and cheeses. The room was very clean and tidy. The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were picked up right at our door for a fantastic winery tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property!

The Billabong Moon Artists Studio is probably the nicest place we have ever stayed at - thank you! We will definitely be back! Felt like a perfect little hideaway... The bottle of wine, cheese and breakfast also just added a perfect extra touch. Definitely recommend!

Romantic Getaway in bush setting but still close enough to the wineries and great restaurants. We stayed in Casuarina Cottage which is a two bedroom cottage as the one bedrooms were already booked out. Booking was easy and the property was easy to find even in the dark. Comfortable beds with supplies to like wine and cheese if you feel like relaxing on the property verandah. Will definitely be coming back next time we are visiting the Hunter
