A waterfront cottage at Pokolbin along with four other individually designed and decorated cottages located over 10 hectares, makes Billabong Moon a unique place to escape. With couples and small groups in mind, Billabong Moon has an eclectic mix of comfortable contemporary and pre-loved timber furniture, intimate outdoor living, large, comfortable beds, deep baths and spas to help establish the relaxed and indulgent atmosphere. Fish from the deck of Billabong cottage, swim in the salt water pool, gaze at clear night skies or snuggle up fireside. With privacy the priority this is a great place to relax after a day indulging in Pokolbin’s fine wine and food.

We stayed in Billabong Cottage and it was a lovely setup. The balcony opens to a small lake, the birds are chirping and it was nice to take strolls around the area. The reason for the average rating was the smoke detector acting up on our last night there. It started at 11pm and went on until 3am. It's a pity that calls and messages to the Manager went unanswered. It was an easy thing to resolve but the inability to get in contact meant the problem persisted. The manager called in the morning to apologize but perhaps by then it's too late - we had a horrible sleep. Will I go back again? Maybe. But not if there are other places available.

This was a lovely wedding gift which we only managed to use 18 months after the wedding. I wish we hadn’t waited so long to experience Billabong Moon. A Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodation and fantastic hosts Kellie and Wayne with a lovely welcome package on arrival. Highly, highly recommended.

Have stayed there twice now. Has been perfect! We brought with out red setter who loves it there and was able to freely run around the large area which even had gates all round it! The room is so beautiful. Well designed, spa bath, cheese platter and wine included, tea coffee... privacy... beautiful location.. great air con and fan if needed.. They want that little bit extra for me as weel with some lost property. I dont review places often, but they deserve it. Keep it up Billabong Moon.!

We stayed in the Treetops cottage and were blown away by the accommodation. The amazing spa bath, the slow combustion fireplace with supply of fire wood, the outdoor bath, the fabulous cook free and delicious welcome cheese plate (as we are non drinkers). Kerrie and Wayne were fabulous hosts and being able to pack up and leave at 11, leaving the cleaning and tidying was great. Close to everything you needed and far enough away to feel alone in the beautiful trees.

A peaceful relaxing experience. Very nice red and white bottle of piggs peake wine with cheese on arrival. Enjoyed the wine tasting at various wineries and dining at the Hunter Valley restaurants . So central to everything. Would recommend stays to family and friends

Spent two nites there last week end. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. It is well appointed with a nice log fire to assist with the inter chill. Eac room has its own ensuite which is great especially in winter. Its secluded location in a well maintained rural style setting adds to the ambiance. Highly recommended.

Well located mini homes spread over a rural setting provide the perfect stay for couples, families and wedding parties!! Our beautiful daughter had a memorable elopement package including an elegant service on the deck adjacent to the pool area. The well treed and picturesque property provided the perfect setting for the after wedding photos. Management had prepared the property expertly the day before and was available to satisfy any requirement! The two bedroom home, on the lake, was the perfect accomodation for the married couple and the deck over the lake's edge provided a great setting for the after wedding BBQ. If you are thinking of sampling the local, Hunter Valley, wines and touring the region, this is the place to stay!!

We stayed at Billabong Moon December 2016. We had a great time with the grandchildren. They enjoyed fishing daily - plenty fish in the pond, but they almost lost interest as it was 'too easy' to catch them ;) The rowboat was great to use as well. Unfortunately we couldn't use the spa as it's heater didn't work so that was a let down.

We had a wonderful weekend in the Hunter - group of 4 staying at Billabong Moon. We had the Billabong cottage to ourselves - each couple had their own bedroom with en-suite and a common sitting/dining/kitchen area. Lovely touches like bottle of wine left for us on arrival and breakfast in the fridge (bacon/eggs/butter/bread). Beautiful location though the actual billabong did not look swimmable... Location is the top end of Hermitage road, not far from the New England highway, but everything is easily driveable in the Hunter. Only recommendation is please supply better bread - cheap white sliced loaf let's the feel of the place down... And ersatz jam in small packets - ditto.

We stayed in the Sunset Ridge cabin at billabong moon, great accom, plus was definitely the fireplace and spa bath which has nice views. Pet friendly which is also a huge tick with us! Breakfast was left in the fridge plus a bottle of wine and cheese platter, which was a lovely suprise. Highly recommend Macquarie Dale organic winery which is close by - fab wine and service ! And ExT. Resturant for the most amazing degustation :)
