Having read the previous reviews and seen the owner's intolerance for Hooray Henry's I was motivated to book here. It's at the end of a dirt road about half a kilometer long but it is flat and suitable for low-slung Italian supercars, as long as you don't mind it getting dirty. Our 'villa' was a section of one building that appeared to house 5 of the same, so they are not separate buildings. Consequently you can hear some noise from next door, but it's not too intrusive.
I was slightly alarmed when I put my hand on a blob of what appeared to be KY jelly on one of the bedside cabinets. I guess the previous occupants had a good time.
This is a rural property, so I was not too concerned at the brown water coming from the taps, but it would help the more sensitive types to have a note in the book reassuring them that this is normal. Coloured bath salts would have helped when the spas bath was filled.
There is a microwave, toaster and coffee pod machine and enough crockery and cutlery for two.
Bath towels are good quality and a decent size.
There is aircon upstairs and a heater downstairs, which was not needed.
There is a small patio outside with a table and chairs but as it was warm and wet the mozzies were out in force and I copped a few bites, (not bed-bugs, though they did itch like hell when I went to bed, so I can see why the previous reviewer was misled: mine looked exactly the same).
Only one omission, which I can only guess was accidental; we had no soap in the bathroom or the upstairs toilet, though we had shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. It was an excuse to buy some locally.
There is lots of wildlife around and the gardens are well tended. It's a great spot.
As Einstein famously said, "I'll be back".

We booked two nights in the Chez Nous Villas in Pokolbin to come and visit the Hunter valley wine region. We arrived late in the evening and after contacting Graham and Leonie, they were so helpful and accommodating in getting us checked in. They also forwarded on lots of local recommendations for us to see and do while we were there!

The villa was beautiful, with everything you could need. After a dip in the lovely saltwater pool, the upstairs balcony of our villa was absolutely divine for sitting and having morning coffee and an evening glass of vino! And being from Ireland, it was such a treat to see kangaroos in the front garden when we woke up! The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a ceiling fan and aircon to help keep the room cool at night.

I can't recommend it highly enough, we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the 2bd villa as we wanted something that was self contained and had a fireplace. After wine tasting all day to be able to make a simple meal and then sit in front of the fire with a bottle of local wine it was perfect. The hosts were great about organizing some more firewood when requested. Only downside was the mattress in one of the bedrooms being latex wasn’t great for my sisters back. All else was perfect.

We were booked into Villa 2 in 21 March for 3 nights to attend a wedding. When we arrived we were confronted with grass clippings under the entry door. When we entered we were taken aback by the size of the living area, it was very claustrophobic. However, as we figured that we would be spending most of the time out, we were prepared to live with that providing the upstairs area was ok. The bed was as the photos on the website indicated but the view out was not. We were surprised that we had little space to hang our wedding clothes. When we opened the drawers of the cupboard to store our clothes, there was a film of brown dirt covering the drawer bottoms. We were due to attend a wedding at Circa 1876. The promo material and the manager’s text message to us described the access to Circa as a delightful morning walk or stroll down a lane. This is hardly the case. It's a bush trail really requiring strong footwear. After consideration, we decided to leave, forgo the costs and managed to get accommodation elsewhere. We simply couldn't stay there after that experience. The owner offered us a one night refund (but we haven’t seen that yet) and offered to come out the next day and clean up. It was only 2.00pm so hardly too late to immediately deal with the problem.

The previous writer has given an excellent description of the location. We had a two level unit, number 1.It suited us.The upstairs bed and pillow were top shelf. The negatives were no tea towel ,borrowed next doors,no internet and the generous spa bath needs some sort of step to get in and out. It’s super clean and friendly. The grounds are beautiful.Location to everything is excellent

Stayed here one night and could not wait to leave. For $260 per night for a one bedroom loft it was a ripoff. Dirty, tired, messy gardens, washing up facilities a plastic tub hidden in a cupboard, bird poo on bathroom windows..... I could go on and on.
Until it gets a serious makeover go elsewhere.

We stayed 2 nights here over a weekend. This property is based amongst the trees out the back of some of the wineries in the region, and within walking (stumbling?) distance from a couple of them.
On arriving the property is welcoming, and does have a slight mediterreanean feel to it, despite being surrounded by gum trees - and a bellowing laugh of a kookaburra.
We were received with a sense of overwhelming friendliness by the owner (Karen), and throughout the stay she did everything in her power to make the trip not only enjoyable - but also easy for us.
We stayed in a small, yet very ample studio apartment with a basic facilities (toaster, kettle), a very comfortable bed, big shower and small terraced area (which we made good use of).
The website (www.chezvous.com.au) is a good representation of what you will find here.
There was also a spa bath in our room and a nice looking pool on the property, which we (unfortunately) had no time to use.
A suitable breakfast was provided - croissant, bread, yogurt and cereal, all in our kitchennette ready for us to eat whenever we woke up. In the morning and during sunset, you can see kangaroos just a few minutes walk down the road.
Having travelled extensively in high class accomodation, I would rate this above average, but the service and hospitality is beyond excellent, it was amazing - which means our average rating is excellent!!!

I stayed here for two nights with my sister and we loved it. The little french style apartments are cosy and really clean. The grounds are beautiful. You are surrounded by nature and animals including two horses. We used the pool area a lot. Its a nice size pool with an amazing view of the ponds/forest.We walked to two nearby vineyards one of which is Pepper Tree which is just stunning and has two fine dining restaurants. You can rent bikes from the neighbouring accommodation if you want to go further afield. In the apartment itself you have two floors and a spa bath. There is tea/ coffee, a fridge and toaster. Fresh yoghurts and milk as well as cereal were provided for breakfast. A quiet and relaxing stay not for those who enjoy the clinical hotel room.Highly recommend it.

If you are not looking for a romantic interlude Chez Vous Villas would be an enjoyable stay - conveniently located and close to the airport and several good wineries and restaurants. Chez Vous Villa is a quaint but very tired accommodation, set in peaceful rural setting where you can sit outside and experience a pleasant sunset while sipping on a chilled glass of wine before heading out for the evening.

If you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway Chez Vous Villas (room number 1) will not be where you want to stay as the bed was atrociously uncomfortable and very very noisy, stopping any notions of romance as the squeaking, creaking bed is more than a passion killer crushing all romantic expectations for us, the neighbours and anyone in the vicinity.

On inspection of the bed we discovered several attempts by the owners to add foam in the struts in an effort to lessen the noise. My one recommendation would be to please go out and invest in a decent bed and mattress. Furthermore, the TV had very poor video and audio reception preventing us from even having the very disappointing consolation of watching a late movie!

We have a wonderful sense of humour and did laugh hysterically over the bed, unfortunately when charging premium prices for accommodation we do expect to have at least a decent bed to sleep in.

Stayed in the one bedroom villa for 2 nights as a couple and a friend accompanying (on the fold out bed). For the money ($300 per night) I was expecting accommodation of a much higher standard - instead on arrival the room was quite tired, the kitchenette facilities(yeah right) did not include a sink but a bunch of mismatched crockery and cutlery really only catering for two people staying. Tiny old tv and limited seating for 3. Loved the bedside lamp that could only be turned on and off at the power point because the switch had been taped up with electrical tape (not very professional or safe I would think). Ironing board was almost unusable (wonky), missing tiles on floor of upstairs toilet. I would have thought for the price and given the lack of washing up facilities (for cups and glassware - we are in a wine district and don't mind having a glass of wine in the evening) that the room would have been serviced daily. I have stayed in the hunter region at least 10 times and I always like trying new places - in my opinion this is the worst place by far I have stayed in and not the cheapest. Sorry guys you will not see us again.

It is always disappointing when expectations are not met by guests. In this particular case we are sorry that the customer did not talk to us about issues during their stay. We would have gone out of our way to correct things that we could have corrected; we always do our outmost to please our customers - all other reviews confirm that. We are always keen to get feedback so that we can improve things - given the chance that is....
