Great location but unfortunately that’s where the positivity stopped for us. On check-in we were given no information about the amenities or directions. I asked where they served breakfast and what time and was told there is a cafe and to google it! It wasn’t communicated with us that we wouldn’t receive room service every day. Three days into a four day trip when we contacted them to either request our room get made up or some fresh towels we were told they don’t do room service every day and because it was after 5pm if we wanted fresh towels it would be a $50 charge. It you aren’t going to make up the rooms every day at least tell your guests and provide a couple of spare towels. This could be a really beautiful place but the grounds and gardens aren’t very well maintained. On arrival there was rubbish in the gardens outside our room, which remained there for the 4 days. The rooms are tidy but dated. Went to the cafe for breakfast one morning and were disappointed to find the chef would not allow any simple changes to items on the menu. Asked for a side with my eggs, refused to do it, didn’t expect it for free was happy to pay for extra sides but they refused. Another diner asked for a change and they asked us to give the chef a break because he was tired, very unprofessional service. Couldn’t complain about the food but the service was disappointing. Overall this stay was not what we were expecting, convenient location but will look at other options next time.

Needs some slight renovations and improvements made to the room to make it a more enjoyable stay. Room smelt like wet, stale carpet the whole time. Bathroom needed some upgrades and simple improvements like a shower curtain, new fly screen on the window.

we had a problem with the number of adults staying in a Wyndham supposedly 2 bedroom and interlocking one bedroom apartment. 3 adult couples could not possibly be accommodated in this arrangement. Leisure Inn is nice and spread out so you don't feel like you are staying on top of other guests. The facilities are excellent with a pool, tennis court, laundry etc and the staff friendly. Loved the trees and the views to the dam.

The cottages are well maintained and, by taking a two room cottage, are placed far enough apart for privacy. The grounds of the property is very large with a big pond with ducks, swimming pool and BBQ. The rooms are self contained and make it easy to prepare something light after a big breakfast at Blanches in Leisure and a lunch at a vineyard. The staff were excellent and had the rooms already heated when we arrived for our winter break.

The location was great for wineries and Balloons aloft. We got a bonus wine & cheese tasting for staying a few nights - very much appreciated. With the temperature 39 degrees the pool was a lovely feature. The air con was on, the blinds closed to keep the sun out and lights were on when we arrived, which was very thoughtful what with it being so hot. Good size fridge freezer; a microwave , smooth top, good selection of utensils. Decaf coffee and salt & pepper were a lovely addition. The TV choice was not flash - Foxtel and a few tv stations. There was a DVD player as well - but that's not a biggie. For those looking at the place name and wondering how to say it.. we were told Po - Kol - Bin.

We found this place to be perfect for us. We have young children and the kitchen was great, we were supplied with everything we needed (dishwashing liquid, tea towels, sponges etc - all the little things you don't want to have to worry about). The pools were great, as there was a kids pool as well as a deeper pool. The apartments were clean and modern. We walked to the gardens and the shops - it only took 10 mins. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I have absolutely nothing negative to say at all. We will be staying here every time we go to the Hunter from now on!

We were messed up by a room shortfall on an AirBnB type of accommodation in the Hunter Valley. Not only did Leisure Inn give us a good deal at very short notice but we also agreed their 1-bedroom apartment was much better than the AirBnB. Very happy customer.

We choose the Leisure Inn as the location for a family reunion as there were fabulous facilities such as individual rooms in close proximity to each other, an undercover BBQ area, tennis court and a great pool available and we could not have been happier! It was the perfect place to stay. The rooms were spacious and clean and very reasonably priced, the staff super friendly and accommodating and the cafe food was excellent and the staff there also great! We will definitely be returning!

Centrally located, quiet, friendly, clean and well looked after, Leisure Inn was a great base for a 4 day exploration of the Hunter Valley wine region. Check in was simple and the villas were very comfortable and well equipped. A plunge in the resort pool was a pleasure after a day of exploring all the Valley has to offer. Although we didn’t have time to use them, electric bicycles were available on site and the property had extensive grounds for strolling.

The Hunter Valley has wineries everywhere and double the price on the weekend anywhere you stay. Leisure Inn is very central and walking distance to quite a few places. You should be paying around $A120 per night Sunday-Thursday.
Google best prices at Leisure Inn or email the Inn and ask them for their best mid week price. The one bed units are perfect. Happy travelling :)
There are more places to choose from in the Pokolbin area.
