My husband and I decided that we would visit the Hunter Valley for the first time with our 3 children for New Year's Eve and see the famous Hunter Garden Lights, we chose to stay at the Mercure Resort because of it's location as well as the high ratings it received. Unfortunately we we're very disappointed with the state of...

Very clean room, bed, carpet, bathroom and etc. Very nice and well maintained garden. Friendly staff. Average pool and jacuzzi. Walking to 5 wine tastings around. Fantastic lobby and library for relaxing.

Very nice clean room, A/C, well maintained gardens, clean exterior and lovely pool area. The restaurant warm and felt inviting food was good but not great. Plenty of parking and close to the gardens which is a must see if you visit the Hunter. Over all a peaceful stay for us which was pleasing and worth the stay when your...

I stayed here for a conference and wasn't terribly impressed with the quality of accommodation for this price point. Lamps in the room used compact fluorescent bulbs with a blue glare, which isn't conducive to preparing for sleep. Internet is not included, which is irksome when traveling for business. I would have also expected some nicer touches in the room...

The hotel is charming and has a country feel suiting the hunter. It is built like a motel - the rooms have direct access to the parking lot in the back and face a large lawn in front. Not having to deal with lifts was convenient for our little family. We were ground floor so we had a little patio...

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights in December. The main reason we chose this resort was the location to the Hunter Valley Gardens (as we wanted to visit the Christmas lights). We were so happy we did. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, the resort was quiet & the private courtyard room we were given was...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it was even better than the previous visit The reception staff were enthusiastic and professional, checkin for all 4 rooms took less than 10 minutes, as before the rooms were clean and well presented, however they are in need of new fridges, ours was all iced up and had no...
