I have spent a relaxed night after been locked in Sydney for 2 years. The room was clean and the bed was firm. The bathroom has a very interesting glass roof though I was shy to enjoy. It has a very neat backyard with a nice backyard chess to play.

Booked an overdue weekend away in wine region 2 hours noth of Sydney. The weather was warm so the pool was our first stop. Booked breakfast for the 2 nights but due to a covid case the restaurant & reception closed Saturday night & did not reopen. We were advised via phone call to have breakfast at Haarigans Pub 3 minutes by car. The breakfast did not meet our original expectations. The rooms were clean & gardens beautiful however the resort is due for a make-over.

Simply trying to ask a question before booking was difficult as the phone rang and then went to a message bank and they never returned my call. I got lucky and on my 5th call they happened to answer. Fast forward to the stay and there’s no info in the room about the hotel, room service or anything for that matter. There’s a QR code to scan, but that didn’t work. There’s no number in the room to call reception so we used our mobiles to call the hotel to get the same message bank. We walk down to reception, get a room service menu (which has no number on it) so I remember to ask for the internal number and return to the room. Guess what… the room service number goes through to the same message bank where I’m told to leave a message- a message that again is never returned! Sooo frustrating to say the least- especially when you’re hungry and thirsty. To add to that the TV doesn’t work properly, but there’s no one to call (except a message bank). Also note, there’s no mini bar.

Stayed here for two nights to see the Christmas lights and the Hunter Valley Gardens with a bus tour. It's in a great location, close to the gardens and also close to the Pokolbin Shopping Village, plus many other wineries, food and tourist things to see and do nearby! It's very pretty and well presented, lovely wood furniture and tidy gardens with hedges and flowering shrubs everywhere. The food at the bar and restaurant was excellent and convenient for room service, breakfast and dinner there were also fantastic. All staff were polite and friendly, and everything was very covid safe which I appreciated as this being my first time away in over 2 years and being a bit nervous. I really appreciated my time here and wouldn't hesitate to come back next year!

My husband and I have just (finally) been able to check in after having to go to reception three different times because our room wasn't ready. I even called on the way to see what time we could check in as we have had zero communication since making the booking. Had to leave a message and was told someone would call back- never happened. To say we are disappointed with our room would be a massive understatement. It is old, tired and dirty. I don't know how they can justify charging $410 a night for this room. This is meant to be our honeymoon (having had to postpone it for a second time because of Covid) and we are just shattered to have wasted our money. Do not stay here. It is truly awful. Would give zero if I could. Cant wait to leave.
