Still a nice place to stay and location, but rooms need a refresh. Breakfast was great. Need more day to day staff on duty. Guest shouldn't have to remind them or chase staff to get canapés and a drink when in the lounge area for a pre dinner drink. Need to lift their game on service. Overall I'll be back

My partner and I stayed here as a getaway last week and were happy with the overall experience! Check in was quick and our room was located overlooking the beautiful fountain and garden out front. The room was clean and well decorated for the style of the architecture. The bathroom was a little outdated but still fit in with the... More

Stunning and beautiful with tasteful decoration fitting to the old world charm...we had an amazing stay! The grounds are so pretty and a joy to walk around we loved sitting on our Veranda listening to the birds sipping on Wine. The Breakfast is wonderful so fresh and filling we also had a Traditional High Tea which was fab the Chef... More

It is a pretty building in a lovely spot except for the sullage pit. The greeting was ok, not effusive but ok – we didn’t feel particularly welcome but she wasn’t rude either. The rooms are nice, if small, plain and the furniture is run down. The décor of the public areas is a mish mash and a little ornate... More

Stayed here for two nights recently. Beautiful boutique hotel, lavishly decorated with amazing furnishings and art. Nice adjoining restaurant with garden area perfect for breakfast and lunches. Breakfast and coffee is a must do. As its a small boutique hotel, we found ourselves standing around waiting to get service or finding someone to assist us with enquiries as there are... More

This hotel was really beautiful and classic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the room was next to the air con and it got very loud at night. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

This is a great little hotel that captures the old world charm of the perfect Hunter Valley country style guest house with all the comforts you would come to expect. The rooms themselves are clean and well maintained with a nice country charm. While I will say that the bathrooms themselves are probably the 'oldest' looking part of the room... More

I've admired this place from afar for years and finally got a weekend there and it was way below expectations. Waited 10 mins for anyone to turn up at reception fri arvo, shown to room one downstairs facing the front of the building. Lounge area looked lovely, fire was going, shown to our room and it was very average. Old... More

We purchased a luxury escape package for 2 nights including breakfast. This is the third time we have stayed in the convent and weren't disappointed. - All the staff were very helpful. They helped with our original booking and then any questions we had while at the hotel. - The location is right in the middle of all the wineries... More

We were amazed by the frontside of the building once we got there. Nice little fountain cantered in front of the house and the award winning restaurant Circa 1876 was just a walking distance. Facility wise only has an outdoor pool and their restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch.
