Ro0m was recently renovated. Clean with a very comfortable bed. The outside balcony overlooking the grounds as the sun set is an excellent feature. Its my third visit to the property. Continental breakfast only breakfast available and it was adequate but could easily be improved with a larger selection of fruit. Its my third stay at the property. I booked a conference for our group and we booked the whole facility. It held a conference for 18 people very well.

To call 2020 stressful would be an understatement. The fires. My husband's hear attack. A pandemic. Get me out of here! I'm just back from three glorious days at Nu Leaf and highly recommend it. The owner, Sarah, is clearly passionate about looking after her guests and nothing was too much trouble. "I'm heading in to town. Would you like anything from the shops?" It's this kind of country hospitality that makes Nu Leaf really special. The rooms are generous and spotless, tastefully decorated and well equiped. The indoor pool means year round swimming and it's magnesium chlorinated so great for sore muscles and floating aimlessly while you unwind. There's also an adjoining spa tub and steam room (additional cost) a spacious and well equiped gym (free) and a day spa. I had a sublime facial by Sophie and a seriously therapeutic massage from Evie. Both professional and pleasant women provided great service and never once tried to sell me anything (I hate it when spa staff do that). Sarah is happy for people to prepare their own food in the small common kitchen which has a microwave and a large fridge. There's also a dining room that serves breakfast, or specialist meals when they have a scheduled event. Whether you go with your partner, your best friend or on your own this is a genuine retreat, where you can do as much or as little as you want while you leave the world behind for a few days. Highly recommended. I'll be back.

We have just spent a fabulous 3 night stay at Nu Leaf. Sarah was a wonderful, generous and a most helpful host. Nu Leaf is in a quiet well positioned area, surrounded by vineyards and we were woken each day by birds singing and an amazing Owl. Our room was really spacious and thoroughly cleaned. We felt very COVID safe. We indulged in a spa day, which included pilates, massages and finished with a luxurious facial. Nu Leaf has a beautiful and well appointed spa. The indoor pool was kept at a very warm 26 and we swam most days alone. I have no hesitation in recommending Nu Leaf as a fantastic mini break for all

We stayed at Nu Leaf Retreat during our stay in Hunter Valley and had a lovely time. We had a lovely, clean room with usual facilities. The hotel is located in a lovely area, there is a pool and serve a very tasty breakfast. It is a little rural (as most in the area) so taxi's are very few and expensive if you want to go out for dinner/to wineries in the area. There is no onsite restaurant as it is a small accommodation, not exactly a hotel. The owner was friendly but the only downside was that we had booked through booking.com as the same room was a few dollars cheaper each night than booking direct, however we found out on our last morning over breakfast that she had already charged our credit card (which was only supplied to confirm booking, we were told we would pay at checkout by whichever method we wished) and she charged us the more expensive price as if we had booked direct. We felt this was very sneaky as it was never mentioned to us and all was done and dusted before we even checked out.

We enjoyed our two day break at Nu Leaf retreat very much. The location is within walking distance of many wineries but is secluded enough to have given us peace and quiet for a few days. Our room was very spacious and although doesn't have all the amenities of a hotel room like a TV or music hub, it didn't take anything away from our stay. There was a lovely common area for guests to use and watch TV if they want. There was a small kitchen for guests to share and use plus kettle, mini fridge, and a bottle of local wine from the owners to us :) Organic products to use in the bathroom which I found a lovely touch. Breakfast was served communally in a lovely clean cosy kitchen close to the rooms. It was delicious and very filling. The spa area, gym and indoor warm pool are fabulous and both my massage and facial were of a very high standard. Sarah who owns and runs the retreat is welcoming, interesting and full of knowledge as to where to go, eat and drink :) Great place for couples, groups of friends, and families too. We shall definitely return for some more chill out time away from the big city.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Nu Leaf Retreat in Pokolbin. Everything about Nu Leaf was just perfect. Lovely spacious rooms, super comfortable bed, great pools, gym and it is all in the best location for exploring Hunter Valley. Sarah was there to meet us on arrival and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We will be back again!

Set in the Hunter Valley this is a haven of peace. What ever you want to do is available but very low key. Our room was huge with a bed so comfortable you don’t want to get out of - in fact I had my longest ‘lie in’ for months there! Sarah the hostess is there but ‘invisible ‘ - it’s a retreat I can thoroughly recommend!

Much needed Mini-Recharge treat for myself and teen-very relaxing and great for the body and soul. Easy access from Sydney. I've come back home with renewed energy to follow up on some of the valuable eating, breathing and exercise advice I received. Accommodation is top-notch and highly experienced staff provide the best retreat, from the tasty, nutritious food to the individualised exercise program and wonderful massage. Everything was done to an above-professional standard. Many thanks-look forward to the return!
