Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A stunning picturesque room that is breathtaking in every regard Cosy large rooms, breezy large outdoor pergolas and just a quaint country feel We loved every minute we stayed here The cellar door is just around the corner , and the large vineyards allow for some gorgeous walks around the grounds Cannot recommend higher enough

We read a lot of comments about this establishment and many of them were very similar to our. It seems that weekenda and booking.com don’t want to accept the negative reviews about this establishment. The customer has to be informed that whatever you are going to write, nothing is accepted by these two retailers. We are very disappointed with this establishment. What is announced does not correspond at all to reality. The establishment is very old, without external maintenance, a dilapidated swimming pool, an outdated tennis court, sidewalks in poor condition, a nauseating smell inside, the rooms are small, the mattresses of the beds are too old. There is no kitchen, a lack of utensils, a lack of armchairs to sit on, no tables and chairs outside to sit on. Everything is old, rusty and too dirty to sit on. There is rats trap at the door of the rooms. Not welcoming at all. This is almost a scam. If we had known all that, we would have change accommodation for the 3 days we were scheduled to sleep here. The 20$ allocated for breakfast was for 4 people for 1 day only. That is not free breakfast at all as the restaurant where to spent that money charge 5$ for a coffee. Not really enough for a breakfast for 4. This does not correspond to the service offer and the price demanded for this place. The only positive element is the outdoor location where the establishment is located. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRAVELLERS TO AVOID THIS PLACE.

Property Managers(Weekenda) lacked care - terrible customer service, issues raised were not handled well or at all. Breakfast was included in the booking- this was not supplied- instead we were offered one $20 voucher at a local Cafe - we have 3 people staying for 2 mornings- we complained that was not what was agreed upon on the original booking- we were told there was nothing they could do- we could cancel our booking if we liked. We only found this out after we enquired- we were not notified of the change. We froze in bed as the bedding and heating was not sufficient. Zero degree nights - we asked management for more blankets. They said they would get back to us. At 4:30pm they had not got back to us so we rang and they said there was nothing they could do. One if the bedrooms had a set of French doors that joined a different room. These could not lock from our side- appeared to be locked from the other side. It also was made with frosted glass - there was no sound and light barrier and we could see silhouettes through the glass. This made us feel uncomfortable plus the light and noise blared in whilst we tried to sleep as we had no control over the other side. We had to hang clothing up as makeshift curtains. We had so many issues- even just to pay- had to ring around the world before they finally took payment over the phone. The area was beautiful and the property was too, however we were so disappointed with the customer service or lack there off, that we would not recommend this place at all.

Booked 2 nights here for my 40th and on arrival it was closed. Rang the manager who said the key was in the room door and he'd be back in an hour with bread. No worries. Walk to the room, theres half a pack of toilet rolls on the leaf littered and debris covered walkway and a 3/4 consumed water bottle on our doormat. There was dog poo all over the grass around our room from the managers 2 pet dogs. The outdoor furniture was weather worn broken and scattered around (not even exaggerating). So at this point aesthetically we are thinking it could be better but we were in a good frame of mind so maintaining positivity at this point. In the room first thing we notice is its connected to the managers living quarters, connecting door was unlocked, paper thin walls, linen cupboard with broken shelving. Not a great start. He turns up with a loaf of bread and says hes forgotten the spreads for t he bread and he wasn't sure where the knife was to cut it. We ask about the firepit and perhaps if he could organise some timber. He said he would have some chopped up and left at our door. We went to Cessnock for dinner as everything locally was booked out but that was ok. Found a beautiful italian joint. Get back to the room around 8pm and no timber. Bugger. Oh well. Perhaps tomorrow night. Find the shower covered in mould, but the bed was clean and comfortable. Head out for breakfast. The website said a continental breakfast was available but none was offered. When we get back the bread knife and spreads have been delivered, but nothing to cut the bread on. We did a wine tour, was awesome. Get back, still no timber. :( No romantic firepit for us. As we were the only guests at the time, can't help but feel a little neglected and at nearly $200 a night, this was a stay i'd rather forget. We could hear everything going on next door and he didn't turn off the outside lights until after 1230am. I'd just like to make a suggestion or 2 to enhance future guests experience. 1. clean up the dog poop 2. get organised 3. mould away your shower 4. have a readily available supply of timber for the firepit. Perhaps a bin out the front of the room so you don't need to cut to order 5. bread, knife, chopping board, spreads should be int he room before we arrive 6. don't offer breakfast if there isn't one

We arrived during COVID without a booking in the morning and where able to book later in the day to watch the sunset. Was a beautiful location and Sam and his mother where so lovely considering we where the last sitting for the end of what seemed like a very busy day for them. Great Sparkling Rose. Be sure to visit blueberry Hill.

I was so looking forward to visiting this winery. It was our last stop on a wine tour. The wine tasting started off great, then we were basicly cut off & weren't even aloud to try any ice cream or blueberries at the end. The place was busy with alot of older people. Would definetly not reccomend visiting if your in a large group. Was a crappy ending to a great day!

We went to BH during a wine tour and we were astounded at the environment, the intimacy of the tasting and the wines. We chose to sit outside and we had a personalised tasting. The young man that did our tasting was so knowledgeable about the wines and the region and made the tasting 11/10. The gelato is fabulous too!

I went here with my group of 16 on a day of wine tastings. This was our 4th stop so we were a bit silly by now. The server commanded our attention and was able to educate us on many of the different types. I recommend the Cab Merlot (I think ;)).
