Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found this Hotel expensive, outdated, rundown and a bit far from town. It was 40% dearer than much a much better Hotel that I found in Town.
I checked out and moved Hotels.
On the plus side it was clean and the staff were very helpful.

Arrived at our room and opened the door to be hit in the face with the smell of vomit! Called reception and we were moved to another room downstairs. We were told it was probably spilt milk that caused the smell. The rooms are obviously not checked prior to patrons checking in. The new room didnt smell of vomit but could have done with a good clean (bathroom, floors, windows etc). Bed was comfy but lounge and outside furniture uncomfortable. Was hoping to relax and read but was unable to find a comfy seat inside or out. Will not go back.

This property is lovely. Staff are friendly and our room was great. Awesome spa, heated floor near bath and shower area. Big room, good balcony. But unfortunately the bed is very uncomfortable. Too soft, your body sinks in and I woke up with a sore lower back. We have stayed twice here now, but I think we will not be back due to the bad bed.

This is worse than many a budget motor inn I have stayed at for over twice the price.
Cockroaches are an issue - there were dead ones all over the property and they were not cleaned or swept up over the whole of our stay. Don’t know when the oyster light in the room was last cleaned – there was a PILE of dead insects in it.
TV is cheap & dated, doesn’t even get basic HD channels. Say have Foxtel - only a few channels & of those, only a couple with reception and picture. Wifi, non-existent – unacceptable in this day and age.
Worn carpet, shabby bathroom, 80s furniture and $ shop plastic bin. Acrylic scratchy bedspread 1 sheet & an old blanket. Mattress should have been replaced years ago. 2 towels were small and worn. Had a coffee on morning 1 and we came back in the evening after a long, the bed was made, the coffee cup was still there.
B’fast (inc in the rate) was very sad. Even with COVID restaurants are open so if charging full price should offer a proper breakfast. Instead a couple of slices of plastic bread, basic cereal, juice boxes. Even the fruit was rotten.
The only redeeming feature was the view until the many large trucks go past and totally disturb the peace. Suzette on reception was friendly & helpful. I wonder if when checking out they no longer ask how your stay was because they are tired of hearing about the issues.
Overall a clear lack of care, attention or love. For the price expected a great deal more. Could not possible bring myself to go back.

This property would have been beautiful back in its day. While its still quiet and has lovely views over the vineyard, I just can't help but feel disappointed with the inside. Everything about it is very old, run down and in need of replacing or repair. We paid $420 for one night in a 2 bedroom (there were 3 of us). Being school holidays there were very limited options in orange, so we took a chance. The price should have been half that for the condition of the room. We 100% wouldn't stay here again. Motel refurbs cost a lot ,but unlesss something is done here i feel they should either close up or make the room rate reflect what is provided.

Truly, somebody from tourism NSW or, more specifically, Tourism Orange should have a good long talk to whoever owns this dump. Turners 'Vineyard' and Motel is so old, so run down and so manifestly inadequate as an accommodation option in 2020.
The property is shabby, the decor so awful it's depressing and whatever you do, DO NOT rely on the Wi-Fi. As a traveller away on business, the Wi-Fi when it did work was as slow as it used to be in the 90's which, in this day and age, is totally unacceptable. Mostly it didn't work at all.
What was good?
The cooking, although basic, was fine. The staff, although clearly understaffed and overwhelmed, did their best. The views aren't bad either but that's more luck than good management.
My advice is to tear this dump down and build something that reflects the 21st century.

For $285 i was expecting much more than a nicotine coloured retro conference centre sat on top of a hill. The decor is shocking and needs upgrading . I expected quaint and i can now see why this was the only place left its got as much ambience as a parking lot . The staff were ok but obviously the owners are just price gougers of the worst type . The continental breakfast was a joke with muesli in a carton and only instant coffee as they had run out of pods strange when the shops are only 8 minutes drive away. Breakfast was eat in the room with o cutlery supplied . I have stayed in better backpackers for $20 a night and with a better breakfast. Avoid at all costs until they knock this monstrosity down or at least charge a more reasonable $80 a night.

This would have to be the worst place I have ever stayed. The photos are outdated. The place is run down, the beds are so old and have many noticeable indentations in the beds. They were so uncomfortable and it would have to be the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. Backache now for 2 days from sleeping on a broken bed.

Given that the place was at maximum capacity on a week night and not during holidays there is no excuse to not maintain a property or replace clearly outdated furniture.

Using COVID as a excuse to not have the restaurant open and give you a few supplies in your room with plastic utensils and plates/bowls.

So disappointed in the accommodation that we did not want to even stay in orange and headed home early just to get out of the place.

My advice ... DO NOT stay here. Broken beds, subpar furniture, smelly carpet, bathroom was clean but overkill with bleach, no restaurant, no bar, out of town, no food delivery service, no access to the vineyard. Nice view but that’s it. Not worth the money.

Owners - if you want to stay in business you actually need to spend money on a property. Replace the beds! Seriously replace the beds if that’s the only thing you do.

Thanks for ruining our trip.

A wonderful place to stay! Breakfast was very enjoyable and we loved being able to take it back to our room to soak in the incredible views! Each room had its own balcony and the rooms were spacious. The ground floor room that we had meant we could walk out straight into the grass just before the vines started. Only recommendation would be for them to update some of the decor but honestly, that is such a minor thing given everything else was so perfect. Would stay again and highly recommend to our friends!

I stayed here for one night with my daughter in Executive Queen room. Great location with fabulous views across the valley. The room was spacious and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. A decent continental breakfast was available on a self service basis all day. All in all really impressed. Great value for money.
