Overall this motel is very very good, I’ve stayed in the newly renovated, as well the older rooms, both are well cleaned and serviced. Lovely comfortable beds with crisp clean linen. Foxtel is a bit hit miss, sometimes works well and sometimes not, but that is neither here nor there for me, but may mean a lot to others. Car parking is different but again didn’t bother me but may bother some. Staff are always delightful and very friendly, helpful, accommodating and thoughtful, contacting me over the holiday period to inform of necessary matters, all positive of course 😊 The area is very quiet as are the rooms. I was impressed when I realised I couldn’t hear the upstairs toilet flush or the person in the room next fart and cough! I do absolutely recommend this motel for both short and long stays.

Provides what we want for a reasonable price. Comfortable, not fussy. Not planning on changing our choice of morel soon, and we expect to be building on our regularity. Thank you. Maybe West End Motor Lodge, Orange, could be more explicit about reducing laundry frequency for multi-day stayers as an environmental (and cost) saving measure.

Firstly, this hotel is out of town centre and out of the way, there is not much around. This is a traditional motel. Rooms were big, they were clean, and had the usual fit out. There is no restaurant on site and places to eat nearby are limited. Breakfast is offered. There is an indoor pool. Some rooms are upstairs so if you have mobility issues make sure you get ground floor room. Car parking is on site and there was no shortage of spaces. Staff were kind and courteous and were helpful in offering assistance with what's around the hotel, like places to eat. This is an ok motel, but if you want to be near town centre this is not the one.

Stayed for three nights at the West End Motor Lodge - my view is there are many better options in Orange. Staff are apathetic. Room was only cleaned one out of two days with no reasonable explanation provided by the listless staff. My request for clean towels on the day my room wasn’t cleaned was met with a similar response. In addition there appears to be renovations occurring presently with no information to guests - a jackhammer operating from 9:00am almost next door probably the reason the cleaner didn’t want to be there either. Many better options available in Orange

Hi Rodney, Thanks for posting your review of the West End Motor Lodge. I was sorry to read you did not enjoy your recent stay with us. Firstly I would like to apologise for the excess noise that you encountered during your stay. As you correctly mentioned we are indeed renovating areas of the property including rooms very close to Room 16 which were you were staying. Upon check in in the Reception area we do have a notice stating that there may be noise Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm. Unfortunately there is never going to be a perfect time to upgrade our property so once again we can only apologise for the inconvenience. In regards to the comments of staff members here at the property being "listless" and "apathetic" I can only assume that there has been some form of miscommunication surrounding the issue you have mentioned as our housekeeping team clean our rooms daily and will only not provide the service if they have been instructed not to do so. On the website it clearly shows a foxtel logo, the room has a smart tv, but there is no foxtel, when asked about the foxtel I was told its 3 weeks away...people book accommodation on what is offered, not what is eventually going to be offered.
The rooms have been updated and look great, however I was placed in a room next to another room which is being renovated, I had a foul fume taste in my mouth every time I was in my room, and woke up with horribly swollen eyes due to fumes. I mentioned both the foxtel issue and fumes to reception and was told 'sorry about that'.
Very dismissive attitude and a no care factor towards the fumes issue.

Hi Nikki, Thanks for posting your review of the West End Motor Lodge. I was disappointed to read you did not enjoy your stay with us. In regards to some of the points you have mentioned that we do not have Foxtel that is categorically incorrect was we currently offer 8 channels in HD (which I did mention) and have since the property opened, I believe the issue you incurred was wanting to stream Netflix to the television which we will be offering from July 1st when we are moving across to the Foxtel Business and on demand service. You are correct that the brand new televisions we are installing do have the buttons for Netflix etc but they are standard on most new televisions and that issue is out of our control. Further to your point regarding the "fume" issue I personally believe I was not dismissive to the issue and was quiet sincere in my line of questioning as the only renovation that was going on next door to Room 31 was tiling of a bathroom to which I also personally inspected on the exterior of the vicinity and could not find the smell or the issue mentioned. Once again I would like to thank you for posting a review about your recent stay with us but as room 31 is completely brand new from top to bottom It makes for a very difficult situation to offer a solution that would be deemed appropriate for both parties and I can only apologise If you interpreted my response as dismissive as that is most definitely never my intention as I was only trying to ascertain what had happened. Needed to book a room as has an early appointment the next day. Booked online with no issue and was going to us contactless checking but it was not working. No problems as we were there before the office closed (they had rung to check otherwise they were going to do a locked box arrangement). Room is spacious and clean, although some marks on the walls, and with average bathroom other than there was no soap holder/shelf in the shower. Everything else was OK. some highway noise but not intrusive even with it being near the highway. Thought the price was a bit high for a standard motel room especially when you pay a certain amount for the room and 1 person and then an extra $20 per person (which we did known about). So basically paying $20 for the water for the extra person to shower. I picked this motel as it was close to my appointment and also happy to support a family owned type of motel over the big corporate places.

Represents great value for money and has all the same touches as a more expensive option such as toiletries, fridge, biscuits, tea & coffee making facilities, Foxtel. The room looks fresh and inviting and the beds are comfy. The bathrooms are a bit dated but clean and have been refreshed and are a good size with great water pressure. The staff are helpful. I have stayed here a lot for work over the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. This time my friend and I took 2 rooms and came to Orange for leisure. She was very impressed.

There was plenty of free parking, the rooms were clean and tidy, the Bed was very comfortable. We walked into town, it was an easy 10 minute walk, we would be happy to stay there again.
There was no noise from the main road which is close by, there is also AC in the room.

Room was very clean, bright (and usually quiet). Obviously used by fly in/out mine workers e.tc so lots of early morning movement. Generally speaking guests around me were considerate of the other guests’ right not to be disturbed too early. Location is great. Just a 20 min easy walk to town centre and 10 min walk to great pub dining at Robin Hood Hotel.
Want to say a big thanks to the lady who checked me in. I had stuffed up my dates but she adjusted these without penalty payment. Appreciated this show of good will. I Frequent Orange several times a year. Will stay again.

I requested we be moved away from a room of young girls who were partying.
I did not want to be disturbed by loud noise on a cold cold night. The Manager was extremely obliging and moved my husband and I well away from noise.
We had a larger room and the Manager gave it to us for the same price. We were warm there and had plenty of space . The bed was very comfortable.
The next morning the Manager informed us that before she finished her shift at 8 pm the previous night she spoke to the girls and told them they were not the only ones in the motel. She was very responsible about the comfort of the other guests as well as us.
We would stay there again. Thanks Cecilia.
