From the moment we walked in the young receptionist provided wonderful service, she showed us to our room and explained all the features including the complimentary drinks and high quality tea and coffee available. The room was large comfortable and the bathroom had underfloor heating. The young lady even offered to assist with bringing our luggage from the car. The hotel had two lounge area’s both with a fireplace which were burning and a good selection of magazines to read in each lounge. When asked for recommendation for dinner we were offered three venues and the receptionist happily booked Charred which she highly recommended and was indeed excellent. Prior to going out for dinner we had a tea service delivered to our room with a special tea to have on our return to help us relax and get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was included served in the heritage dining room and this was also superb. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel's Favourite
I chose this accomodation by looking at options on internet. Knew nothing about it but liked what I saw on website. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. There were two large lounge areas within the hotel to sit. Again all modern and clean. Outside there was an upstairs and downstairs verandah with seating and tables. Drinks could be ordered anytime. The verandah looked over a beautiful lavender garden. Breakfast is included in the rate paid and can be served in a pleasant dining room or on the verandah. On check in we were greeted by Tom and given an extensive chat with map in hand to let us know what Orange offered and where to eat, drink, where the good coffee shops were and the wineries. In all a very pleasant stay with Excellent friendly staff.

Hi Jenny, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time with us and discovered some of the wonderful food and wine that our region has to offer. It is lovely having the guest lounges and verandah for guests to enjoy some time to relax outside of the guest room. It is fabulous being a licensed premise so we can offer our guests a well-earned beverage without having to leave the hotel. We hope to have an opportunity to welcome you back one day. Until then, wishing you and your family a Merry Chrsitmas! Kind regards, Kristen, Tom and the BSH team

Stayed here with my mum, in a suite in the modern wing, everything was perfect, with special touches that we loved, like the evening tea tray on our bed. Highly recommend this place, super central but not noisy, I’ll definitely go back.

My wife booked this as a romantic weekend away for my birthday. We had a fantastic experience from the time we arrived. The staff were awesome always checking to make sure we happy. I received a special note from Tom, Kristen and the team with some beautiful home made biscuits and tea to say happy birthday. Small touch’s like made our stay really special. I wanted to give a special mention to Bec and the team at breakfast who were really attentive and made us feel welcome. The hotel is situated close to some amazing restaurants and cafes all with in walking distance. Highly recommended 5 out of 5.

We rocked up here without a booking and managed to snag the last available room. The heritage building is gorgeous and the staff are very attentive. It is not cheap and yes there are plenty of cheap hotels in the town, but if you are looking for a romantic getaway then this is for you. The room is beautifully appointed with bathrobes and designer snacks. My only gripe is that the bed felt a little uncomfortable. It is not plush like some upmarket boutique hotels so that is one area I think needs some action. The breakfast was delicious. The hubby ordered a baked bean and bacon and egg with sourdough crumb. He felt the beans were hard and undercooked and later gave him a tummy ache and there should be a blokey option of just "bacon, egg and toast". I would return here again anyday

Hi, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We pleased you had a wonderful time and would like to return one day. We are surprised about your comments in regards to the bed, however we also understand beds can be very personal in terms of ideal firmness etc. We use the luxurious microCloud bedding items including mattress toppers, doonas and pillows which can be found in many 5 star establishments. In regards to our breakfast menu, whilst we provide several options to choose from on the printed menu our Chef is always willing to make alterations - you just need to ask! Quite often we have guests similar to your husband who may just wish to have simple bacon and eggs cooked to their liking. It is never a problem. Please feel free to mention this during breakfast service if you do return to stay with us again. Kind regards, Tom, Kristen and the BSH team

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is not only beautiful, but the service was amazing. This is from everyone, including the owners, the people in the restaurant, and the friendly housekeepers who would discreetly tidy our room each morning whilst we were at breakfast. The food here is also fantastic, and included some of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Also, I loved the little touch of home baked cookies and tea delivered to the room each evening. My children (10 and 12) also enjoyed their stay, and they were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is in a central location, and it is easy to walk into town and to local restaurants.
