Detailed Reviews
I stayed here for one night as a stop over. Although the room was not outdated, it was very small. Some closer attention to cleaning would be good. The water spout in the bathroom basin was loose and needs attention in Room 3. Also I found it a really tight challenge when having to wipe myself on the toilet as so small as the huge spa took up most the bathroom. Also I think that there needs to be some non-slip measures added to the step into the spa bath/shower.
As I was in one of the front room Room 3 and the property is on the main road, it was so noisy with traffic, buses, heaps of trucks and rev heads on their motor bikes. This started up again at 5.30am. Very busy and very loud.
As for the area itself, when I went over to the shopping centre I did not feel overly safe as there were many shady type characters. I feel that and after confirming with some research, that Jesmond is not one of the most desired places in Newcastle to live. Vert low social economics demographics unfortunately.
Would not stay here again.

I wish I’d read these reviews before we booked to stay here.
We picked this accommodation as it was pet friendly & just for the 1 night.
We arrived at the complex at 3:30pm. Upon check-in, we were advised our room would not be ready for another 20 minutes. No phone call to advise us of the much later check-in time.
At check-in I was shown the map where our apartment was (38a), & that there was parking on the front door side of the apartment, but also there was no allocated parking.
The car park they advised us to us could not be used as it was full of building rubbish! Parking is as rare as hens teeth & it is a tight fight, particularly if you have a larger family sized car.
The apartment size was great for my hubby & I & our 2 spaniels. Modern kitchenette, decent sized fridge & 2 comfortable sofas to relax on with our pooches.
The issues we experienced with this apartment was:
1. One of the shutter blinds slats was missing in the entry/lounge room door.
2. A couple of shutter blind slats were missing in the bedroom. Both of these rooms face a busy road, so a total lack of privacy.
3. A large mirror was left on leaning against the wall on the floor. The bottom left hand corner had broken glass, & the glass hadn’t been cleaned up!
4. The shower. What an experience that was! A rain shower head that had blobs of water come out of it as it must be blocked. Was the worst shower I have EVER had! No exhaust fan either. No face washer was provided.
5. No bin provided.
6. No door stops behind toilet door. Would be a shame to smash the nice wall tile with a door handle because a door stop was not put on.
7. No door stop on bathroom door. Will only be a matter of time before that shower screen is smashed from the door handle.
8. There was no way I was using their toaster. It looked as old as me! 49!
Our bed was comfortable & even though our room was right next to a busy road, the noise wasn’t too bad.
Management needs their butts kicked. For all of these negative reviews, they need to listen to people.
Maintenance needs to done & their customer service needs improvement.
We would not stay here again & certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

We didn't read the reviews of the JEV before booking. Bit of a mistake. However, I'll try to give an honest opinion of our experience.
The Good. We had a one bedroom villa. It was quite spacious, relatively clean and had the basic necessities in the way of a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bed. The TV on the wall was big and it worked. The bed was two single divans pushed together and although it looked very uncomfortable it was actually ok for the three nights we were there. The aircon worked, there was hot water and the fridge was cold. We had one interaction with the reception desk and they were fine with us. It wasn't too bad in terms of value for money.
The Bad. Driving into the property was a bit of an experience. There was a "Vibe" to the place which wasn't pleasant, it was cramped and it felt like we were intruding on a small community of residents with dogs barking, music playing, kids crying that went on till late into the night The road through the villas is narrow and parking is haphazard. There wasn't much privacy to the place, and we had to keep our blinds closed all the time as the villa opposite could see straight through our living room into the bedroom. The villa had no decorations (painting, picture, vase, anything) and the furniture was worn with torn seat covers, fly screens and the lock on the bathroom door broken. The bathroom was a bit of a joke, the metal sink belonged in a roadside restroom, the shower did not have screens so you couldn't keep anything dry. The sofa was ultra uncomfortable.
The second night was better (in terms of noise) and this would be fine for a short stay - the pictures do not reflect the accommodation we had but having said that, don't expect too much from the property and you won't be disappointed.

Don't recommend, it was not clean the pans in the cupboards were filthy with grease and grime, the floor was filthy. The hoses on the sink in the bathroom leaked. There was no washing up liquid to use of you dared use any of the dirty cutlery or cups etc . no coffee. The remotes were disgustingly dirty with grime and who knows what else. Parking was not great, no allocated spots. They charged more than what we were quoted. It was quite noisy and lights from outside lit up the bedroom all night. Needs a new paint job on all areas as walls are dirty, blinds on the door are broken so a pull down blind has been put on instead of fixing the shutters .Will never stay there again.

Don’t waste your money. I selected the spa and shower room which was advertised to have a balcony and removable shower head in the photos. Did not get either of these.
Spa did not work in my room and when I raised this I was told they would get onto it. Went back 4 hours later to find out what was happening with it and was told it’s a Sunday we aren’t doing anything about it till at least Monday. No offer to change rooms until I asked about it or a refund. Ended up changing rooms but the new room was dirty and no towels supplied. Had to chase up reception for towels.
While we were still changing room reception had ask one of the cleaners to come remake our old room so they could reuse it that night without fixing anything. Don’t even think they cleaned the room before moving someone else into it.

This is the worst place I nearly stayed at!
Apologies for the long story but I wouldn’t stay at any of the affiliated appartments owned by this company.
I originally booked at Boulevard on Beaumont a year in advance as I was attending the Pink concert. (I had stayed at Boulevard previously and found it ok). Once they found out Pink was on and accomodation was in high demand my 2 bedroom apartment was all of a sudden requiring maintenance (I looked on the website and noticed that the 2 bedroom apartments were now double to triple the price from when I had booked).
I was told I had to move to Honeysuckle appartments. I was offered 2 x 1 bedroom appartments. All of a sudden both of the apartments they had promised were apparently sold and no longer available and I was advised that all that was available now was a 1 bedroom apartment in Jesmond and if I didn’t like it to cancel. This was approximately 2 weeks before the concert.
As I booked through booking.com I sent numerous messages to both booking.com and Boulevard on Beaumont to advise I didn’t want to stay in Jesmond and I wanted to look into why when I had received 2 confirmations that my original apartment was not available. Booking.com kept advising that my original booking was not cancelled in their system (even after I supplied all the text messages I was receiving) and Boulevard on Beaumont just kept stating it was too bad and if I didn’t like it to cancel.
With feeling like I didn’t have any choice, accomodation was now extremely limited and anywhere close to the stadium was booked I arrived at Jesmond and I was advised I now had a 2 bedroom apartment.
I got to the apartment and there were all empty alcohol bottles, cigarette butts everywhere, 2 drunk men that apparently live in the complex yelling vulgar remarks making us feel totally uncomfortable and unsafe.
The apartment they gave us looked like it is used for emergency housing, everything was old and broken.
I called booking.com to advise we wouldn’t be staying here and was advised that they would investigate and get back to me straight away with suitable accommodation. We didn’t hear back until 6.30am the next day!
We live about 2.5 hours away and were left without any accommodation for the night.
I’ve stayed in some dodgy places before but I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Called to book as I needed to bring my small dog for 1 night.
Asked for a balcony room so I could put my dogs grass mat outside for her to go to the toilet on.
The gentleman on the phone said yes we have a balcony room upstairs where dogs are permitted.
He then said how much is it online?
I said $115.00 he then said it's an extra $20.00 for the dog.
I agreed and said that's fine as long as it has a balcony.
He said I'll send you the link so you can book.
I pay online with my card.
We arrived around 10.30 on the night, the unit was downstairs no balcony and not near any grass.
The office shuts at 8.00pm, so the next morning at 8.00 I'll called the office and explained I didn't receive what I paid for.
The Manager I spoke to was so rude and couldn't care less.
He said what do you what me to do about it??
I said I hadn't received the room that I booked and paid for?
He basically didn't care then accused me saying well you didn't even pay for the dog!
I said I beg your pardon I paid $135.00, he then said oh yes you did....no apology!
Hang up on me.
I would never stay here again!!!
You pay for a certain room you expect to get what you paid for!!

A great cleaner who tended to a bad earlier clean.
Arrived late evening after a full days travels to an employee and front of house employee discussing consensual/non consensual relations, making me wait to check in, a unit that smelled of cigarettes (no smoking rule?), had a blocked bathroom drain, and a filthy floor that turned our feet black within minutes.
Not the end of travel day experience i was hoping.
Thank goodness late night cleaner (6pm) was so attentive altho the chemical smells are a bit much this time of night in winter….

Stayed 10 nights for a work trip with my partner, unfortunately we were not impressed. The rooms overall had a 'tired feel, and would 100% agree with all the reviews that said the 'villas' needed a deep clean.
The bathroom seemed clean enough when we first moved in, however with use it acquired a 'stale water' smell that was truly unpleasant. The spa bath was nice, however had lots of brown marks in it. Worse still, was that we were continually getting cockroaches in our bathroom.
Neighbours were loud and could hear their arguments though paper thin walls. Kitchen was average, lacking in a few basic utensils (scissors, chopping board, peeler) but felt clean enough.
The king bed was two singles pushed together. Comfortable enough, but there was not a proper duvet, just a few thin sheets as bedding. I understand it was summer but I found this unacceptable for a 'executive villa'.
Don't be fooled by the pictures, the pool is tiny and the 'spa' was cold. The outdoor bbq area was poorly kept and smelt like rotten meat - unusable. Wifi was 500MB per day, and after that was paid. 500MB is a peanut these days
Staff were courteous without being overly accommodating. The room was cleaned and towels changed once in the 10day period we were there, even though we asked for the room to be serviced earlier due to the smell in the bathroom.
Overall, I would not recommend Jesmond Executive Villas, and we have told our work it is not suitable for long term accommodation.

Liked · Leaving.
Disliked · Cockroaches all over the place, brown marks on the toilet wall. This place could do with a deep clean once a month. My house with 3 kids is cleaner.
Tiny parking spaces. No room near the pool to safely supervise kids.
For a booking of 5 we had 1 capsule of milk, 4 bath towels, no facewashers and had to make up the sofa bed for the 5th person.
Has a great big shower but a tiny basin, we had to move the coffee table in so that we could have somewhere to place our clothes. The water got all over the floor.
Had someone stay in the garage next door (not with us and apparently a bookable room) and they tried getting into our room via the internal door.
Big table with 4 chairs, why the need for a big table?
Everything felt dirty. No usable power point near the bed even though they had a lamp and clock radio on the bedside tables. It was a joke.
