Stayed there last Saturday night, and while paying a premium for the hotel - we were very let down by young and junior reception staff on check out on Sunday. This hotel has a silly attitude to providing any customer service. At breakfast our party of eight were kept waiting for a table ( the restaurant was empty ) while...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 April 2017

Wow, what a pleasant surprise (albeit at a premium cost). A fantastic weekend away from the moment we arrived. The staff we dealt with, without exception, were absolutely fantastic – pleasant and attentive. The location –the “docks” was not our number one choice, we wanted the beach but couldn’t find a beach hotel with the Trip Advisor reviews we were...

This stay at the Crowne was my third during numerous business trips to Newcastle. The thing I like most about the Crowne Plaza in Newcastle is their recognition of loyalty. I am a Gold Elite IHG rewards club member (one level about base). Upon arrival at the hotel, I was immediately upgraded from a King City View Suite to a...

We recently held a conference for approx 100 people, over 2 days and 3 nights. We found the accommodation, facilities, conference rooms and the general area were very good for our Group's needs. If you are having a conference in the Newcastle Area, I can thoroughly recommend the Crown Plaza.

As a very frequent business traveller I see lots of Hotels> Crowne Plaza in Newcastle is very good. The rooms are not pokey, excellent desk and wifi, and a really helpful staff. If you are staying in the greater Newcastle area for business then stay here. By the way, it would be excellent for weekend retreats and relaxing stays too.

Harbourside rooms are well appointed, good room service and in house dining, the valet parking is expensive but you can park on the street after 5pm free of charge, it's only a short walk from the hotel. There are restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.

Situated right on the harbour, this is a great hotel. An easy walk to town and the local bars and restaurants. The area around the hotel is great, with a very relaxing boardwalk right outside the door. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the harbour, we spent many hours each night enjoying the views over the working...

Our family spent the weekend here so that we could attend the Barnsley versus Newcastle football match. Even though the football was very disappointing our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Great family room, exceedingly good quality breakfast and when we had a slight problem with our children's bed not being made up the staff produced a bottle of prosseco...

I actually stayed in March. This place is in a great location on the Hunter River and near to Food outlets and the Brewery night spot. The rooms are spacious and most have the River view, ask for this as I would recommend it, they can be self contained as there is a small kitchen and Dining table with separate...

Dear Glenn L, thanks for your review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and that the location of the hotel was to your liking. Apologies that our parking facilities were not what you expected; unfortunately parking is very limited in the CBD and we hope this didn't impact the rest of your stay. Thanks for your feedback...
