Have been on two separate occasions to the Burwood, once for dinner on the weekend and once for trivia. Cosy pub, quite fancy and offers a good variety of food. I find it quite on the expensive side for what it is and felt that overall there was better value on their weekday special offer night so give that a... More

Beautiful food and served in such a cozy, relaxed environment. You can book the restaurant or if you just turn up (like we did) you can sit in the bar area if you manage to get a seat as it is a very popular place. Can't wait to return

First time in Newcastle, read about this place and it did not let me down. Pork belly in chilli caramel sauce was stunning, and could not go past the 400gm Rib eye, melt in your mouth. Only regret is that i did not have anyone to share the lamb shoulder special that was on the menu, the smell was unbelievable.... More

We stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) over the June long weekend. We walked into the reception area and within 30 seconds a friendly face arrived and checked us in, absolutely hassle-free. We had pre-booked and paid directly through their own website. The room, as described by others, is reasonably plain and small, but the bed was very comfortable... More

We were keen to get back again since our first and recent visit and while everything was still very good, it was just a small step down from the five star rating we gave last time. The steak special was not quite as tender as my previous eye fillet (possibly just the type change?), but the Waygu and mushroom pie... More

Shared bathroom properties normally put me off but the price was right for the night and I wasn't disappointed. Hotel staff very friendly - locals in the bar very friendly too. Even organised a car for me to take me to the airport in the morning, resulting in a better nights sleep cos I didn't have to stress about getting... More

We went to Newcastle to see our daughter. I don't generally like to stay in shared bathroom properties but for economy we gave it a go. We had a great time. The room was plain wit hjust a bed a a TV so small you wouldn't watch it but the bed was really good, for the 6 rooms there are... More

Had dinner here on a Thursday night, we took advantage of the members special which was the wing & ribs combo with the potato skins & fennel slaw for only $25! WOW! Where pretty fussy & like to be brutally honest with our reviews (most get removed) but we couldn't fault this.. Everything works, the decor is cosy, the waitstaff... More
