We arrived at a pretty underwhelming building (similar to dorm rooms) to find our room had not been cleaned since the last guests departed. Dirty towels, bedding, used dishes, and rubbish over the floor.
After phoning the management we were put on hold for 20 minutes, then told all they could offer was a similar room (hopefully a cleaner room!) around 20 mins outside of Newcastle. They would not cover transport costs and were not able to clean the room.
I asked to speak to the Manager and was told I would receive a call in 5 minutes to discuss. I sit here the following Monday (this happened on the Friday) and I am still waiting on said phone call.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a booking. We subsequently had to book a local hotel (The Executive Inn) which was worth every dollar more. Please have a look at that as an option before considering this horrendous option.

The accommodation was very basic, but the security in relation to gaining access was very good. Is located in a cosmopolitan suburb in Newcastle (Hamilton), and all walks of life are found on the streets. Note that there is no staff on site, and no check in desk. All check in and assistance is done via your smart device (mobile, iPad, etc). We did have to seek assistance from staff and they were prompt and very accommodating - batteries in TV remote control were dead. Hamilton, the suburb, does remind one of Fitzroy/Collingwood in Melbourne and Newtown/Redfern in Sydney. Homeless on the streets but up some very nice cafes and pubs. We always felt safe and the hotel's security and access (unique code to a door) made us feel secure.

Absolutely awful :( arrived late at night (late flight and long drive). Getting in the place was easy enough. NO ON-SITE PARKING.. street parking is 30mins or less so you’d have to constantly move your car (not ideal at all, unless you planned to be out all day). Got into the room and immediately noticed how unclean it was. Hair on the bed, greasy fingerprints on the cupboards and bench, finger marks and grime around all light switches, dirty utensils, freezer ice cube tray was littered with dirt/food, fridge handle looked like it hadn’t been wiped in months, the bathroom door gets caught on the tiles and you have to use extreme force to open and close it. The worst was the shower water pressure. The ‘rain shower’ head was on the side of the wall and dribbled out so slowly, you’d have no chance of actually showering. We thought ok we’ll give it a minute or so and it’ll improve, no matter how much we turned it on or waited, it stayed the same. The shampoo/conditioner/hand soap were all almost out and hadn’t been restocked. There was also mould EVERYWHERE in the shower, on the sink and the 1 little pulley curtain we had that was crowded by a layer of dust and crispy flies…
I had contacted the place explaining these things and the initial email response from them was that they’re sorry for the inconvenience and will just let the staff know. Our ‘King’ bed was two singles pushed together with the edges so ridged you couldn’t cuddle you partner if you tried. The mattresses felt like they were from the 1990’s. extremely disappointed considering we paid for an ‘executive king studio room’ room and had it booked for 10 days.. we stayed the 1 night and left the next morning, booking elsewhere.
When I called the following morning, the lady on the end of the phone was apologetic and helpful, she had me explain every issue and sounded surprised that it was in that condition. The cleaners either don’t care or don’t get paid enough/respected by the owners to care. I’ve never in my life, stayed at a place that has disappointed me as much as this place has, I’ve stayed in some questionable places but nowhere has made me and my partner feel so uneasy, uncomfortable and unsafe :(

Upon booking we were not told that there was no reception or parking, all parking was on the street in a busy bar area. On arrival we were never given instructions on how to enter the premises, they forgot to email it, so we waited about 40 minutes to get the codes sorted. One of our friends had booked and paid for 5 rooms and upon arrival one was still dirty from the night before at 4pm. The other room was not available, even though he’d paid for it. He had to stay somewhere else at great expense. There is a bar underneath, they played loud music until midnight. The next morning we went for breakfast and were then locked out of our rooms before the check out time of 10am. This took about 30 minutes to sort out so we could retrieve our bags. Beds are very uncomfortable, in one of our rooms the bed was not joined together so there was a gaping hole in the middle. Total disaster, I will never stay here again.

Nowhere in the listing did it state this accommodation has no parking available nearby or the fact that it was not staffed with personnel. I have bad knees and all the accommodation was on the second floor and no one is there to assist. I cancelled the reservation because I could not manage the stairs nor deal with the parking issue and they refused to refund my money. I explained in detail why I could not stay there but they didn’t care and I never got a refund. You also need to know that this accommodation is in the middle of a very busy homeless area and I am not comfortable leaving my car unsecured in that kind of atmosphere

easy to access, street entry, next to quiet bar called Blind Monk. Room was clean, and modern facilities. bathroom within say 2 years recently renovation. Keyless and card-less entry (no need to wait at reception)

Room was so tiny, just enough room to move around the bed.
The bed is two mattresses pushed together with no padding on top to bridge the gap.
Plates and cups looked like they were from Vinnie's as they didn't match.

Frosted glass door into apartment is opp. a bright security light. Room lit up all night. No sleep . No staff to fix it. 2 nights = no sleep. Furniture surfaces not cleaned, with last guests sticky takeaway mess. Uncomfortable bed. Not recommended.

Lovely and clean - very quiet. Great location - walked to the entertainment centre from there. Plenty of places nearby to eat or have a drink. Only problem is they don't have off street parking - so you need to find somewhere safe nearby.

No parking on site and need to park multiple streets away. Dark hallway to room didn't feel safe. Upon entering room it did not look like the photos online. Room was dirty. Bathroom had not been cleaned with faecal matter in toilet. Did not stay due to state of room and could not trust that any of the rooms would be clean. Called as soon as I arrived to discuss getting a refund as I would not be staying due to the state of the room. I was told I would receive a call 10-15 mins later. 24hrs later I am yet to receive a call.
