We found our 6 nights at Blackbutt Inn to be ideal for staying near to family while in Newcastle. The hotel provided a comfortable bed, a bathroom where everything worked well, helpful staff and parking under the building was possible. A bonus was proximity to the wonderful patissierie "Euro"!

Great value and good location for getting about the Newcastle region without the mega plex maze of huge hotel/motels. Rooms above a pub, sports bar and bistro and the rooms are quiet and secure. Bistro has daily chef specials and regular fare

No one at reception when we arrived, the bar staff from the pub next door handle the check in. Entry cards did not open the main door, or the hotel room. Had to call reception multiple times to get this sorted. When we eventually got into another room it smelled like sewage & the shower was dirty.

This listing presents itself as a motel but it is a hotel. I was there on a weekend night and could not sleep. The music gradually got louder and the whole room was vibrating. Do not stay here if you need a good night sleep!!!!!

Karen and her team at The Blackbutt Inn are brilliant! They know you by name and always make you feel welcome. The rooms are clean & quiet, beds comfortable and the food delicious (especially the steak!). I often travel by myself and I feel extremely safe at The Blackbutt Inn.

Reception is through the post office and the staff were friendly and helpful from the minute you arrive. Rooms are clean and considering it is part of the pub, it is quite quiet. We had come for a friends birthday celebration in the pub so ideally situated for us with the pub closing at midnight. Would highly recommend it.

Exceptional reception staff, Karen was very helpful and is an asset for the hotel. Restaurant was great value, with large meals. Would stay here again. Free transport to McDonald Stadium was an added benefit.

Staff is great.. always such a great stay. Would recommend Karen highly she is such a pleasure to deal with. Room is clean and tidy and the facilities are good value. Attached to the Blackbutt Hotel so you can stay and play.

A very nice hotel well located if you are going to JHH. Excellent staff, friendly, kind, knowledgeable. The rooms were fresh, clean and quiet. Great sleep. Very good restaurant in attached pub, very good food, great staff and good prices. Highly recommended.
