Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Excellent location in Moama with Echuca a short walk away. Had everything we needed for a quick and easy breakfast and the mini fridge was great. A clean and well maintained room, would happily stay there again.

Booked a 2 night weekend away with hubby for some well earned rest and relaxation. I found a good deal on "not1night" website and booked. I had looked at the Moama Motel (Border Inn) on the internet and was expecting "Budget" accomodation for the price. We were very pleasantly surprised!. This is a hidden gem! Lots of car parking available around a simple plan of rooms. There is a pool and outdoor seating area with bbq facilities. Whilst nothing "flash" it serves it's purpose. Upon arrival you need to cross the side road and enter the TAB entry (gaming room) where the cashier who was very friendly and had a very welcoming approach promptly checks you in and gives you the key...
The room was great. Clean, with a comfy bed and a updated modern touch. The bathroom was very spacious with a big shower. Whilst clean towels and soap was on offer there are no toilletries or hairdryer so keep that in mind. A lovely continental brekky was there each morning for us to make at our leisure..Variety of cereals, bread, spreads and ample milk (not the tiny plastic vials) some motels give you. Plenty of coffee and tea and the best COLD orange juice! Austar is available on the LCD tv. We had a great stay and will def book again when we return. As we were out of our room for a large part of the day and night we both slept well and were nice and cosy. The BEST part is the location..a hop, skip and jump to the bowling club..so no need for the car. You could even walk across the bridge to Echuca..
On checkout the young man had fabulous customer service, a great personality and wished us well- Thanks so much

Stayed here with my wife for a 4 night getaway. Room was clean and cosy with no complaints with amentities. Conveniently located to shops and attractions. Discount on meals at Boarder Inn hotel and 100 meters from the Moama Bowling Club. A bit of street noise at night but nothing too concerning. Would stay here again

Bedding was terrible not even try to put a mattress topper on for a bit of comfort on a very old mattress, even the bed valance was dirty or stained. Our hips ached for days after. The heater was so old not even know if it was turned on only by the noise. Fridge well it froze everything, even the milk was frozen on arrival. No microwave at all, we got a pizza for tea and placed it in fridge for breakfast & it was frozen over night. Not even a lick of paint over very marked walls, we even had hand marks beside the toilet. Others there also said they thought they were staying at Moama Motel not the Border Inn Motel. They obviously don't care!

I stayed here with a friend for two nights. Whilst the staff were friendly, the room was very average. No amenities such as toothpaste, (understand it’s a motel) but room itself was dirty. I had dead spiders hanging above my bed. Location is good for getting around, but not if you actually want to get some sleep. Road traffic, the pub over the road and all the rooms being so close didn’t help. Accessibility was horrible especially if you were on the top floor as the stairs were a very steep incline and quite scary for even us young adults. Plenty of other choices on the main road

We stayed at this motel for one night on Boxing Day as we were travelling to Kerang to visit family.
The room was clean and well maintained. It was close to the shops and park and across the road from The Border Inn Hotel.
We were provided with breakfast for the following morning, however choose to have breakfast at the Border Inn as it has a great breakfast menu and is well priced.

Stayed here for two nights for work and my first impression was the exposed bricks in the room was a bit old style, however the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the room was spacious!

The room is also located within walking distance to all other shops in town and the Murray River for some house boats sightseeing.

Once a year my partner & I go up to the Murray to play golf, we pick a different place each year, we have been to Rich River before & not much is changed, there looks like there may be a fun mini golf, but must be for adults, as I did not see any children there.
WATER PRESSURE IN THE SHOWER - was GREAT
The band they had playing on Saturday night (Long Weekend) were not good. you would think that on a long weekend you would have done better, but I think it was all about selling drinks to a captive audience.
I do have to compliment the manager on the night who was seating people, clearing tables & generally helping all the staff, that's the kind of Manager all venues need.
