Property's Favourite Review
Maidens inn has been a family favourite for the last year when as a family we travel up to moama. The location is perfect if you want to be at the Murray river. The facilities are fantastic with the water park and pool favourites for the kids. Spend a bit more and get a Riverview cabin well worth it

We are currently staying at the park in our caravan on one of the powered sites.
The park is well laid out with access to water, power and grey water drain close at hand.
There are plenty of shady trees and grassed areas.
The kids are having a ball here and are loving the water park, pools and giant jumping airbag.
Plenty of river access with nice sandy beach areas.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. We have decided to extend our stay beyond the weekend and Leonie, who works at reception, went out of her way to accomodate us. Moving bookings for sites around so we could stay where we have set up.

Stayed a weekend in a standard cabin. Clean comfortable and simple for three people and was great value. Park was excellent, fabulous location on the banks of the Murray, short bike ride into town on a bike path and the park had everything kids would want - jumping pillows, playground, basket ball, tennis, pool. The only downside would be the checkin was contactless due to CoVid and for me I miss the greeting on arrivals. Overall would definitely recommend particularly with kids.

Please note this was at the end of the summer 2019 and things may have changed?
We had a large group stay there in multiple on-site cabins, I cannot fault the park, cabins and facilities. We did book 12 months in advance (1 booking) and requested the cabins (7) to be grouped together for obvious reasons, they could not accommodate this which was surprising so far out, when we arrived there was 1 cabin that was a single group right in the middle of us - why who knows why they couldn't be moved to the end of our group? Additionally to this with all 7 cabins we all paid different rates to which the staff could not explain why when all the cabins were on one booking 12 months out. The rate varied from around $200p/n to $360p/n, they tried to justify this as they say they use dynamic pricing but could not explain why different cabins on one booking were different amounts, in the end after a lot of arguing we still had some of our groups paying more than others in our group which was ludicrous when it was all were on one booking 12 months out.
As I said the park was great but customer service was non existent which was a real shame.

+1
I feel a bit conflicted about this review as whilst we did get it at a super cheap rate… it also isn’t hard to expect somewhere to be clean, could of got a cheaper motel that was new and immaculate at the same price.
Bathroom was so filthy and roof was covered in little tiny spiders, kids beds weren’t made up, we had to make it ourself with the sheets and doona supplied. Anywhere else the beds would be made for you. And the mattress covered were gritty and clearly never washed.
Floor was covered in dust bunnies everywhere. Cobwebs everywhere.
The mattress in the kids bedroom was so old you could feel the springs just by running your hand on it laughter and my tiny child always said it hurt to sleep on it.
This caravan park is geared towards permanents / onsite vans and they are in and out of the park from super early to late at night.
Don’t come here if you are a light sleeper as my baby woke up for the day at 5am from the very noisy birds.
Aircon barely worked, clearly it has never been serviced.
And for some unknown reason they though it was a great time at peak season to cut down trees right behind our unit for 2 days and noise from the tree mulching was deafening. While that def needed to be done but not sure why it should be done during peak season.
Overall the kids got bored, games room all the games were broken or out of order, playground so run down and so we’re the pools and we were sick of a filthy room that we checked out early.

As a former owner of a Big 4 park I was very disappointed with Maidens Inn.
This park was chosen due to the facilities for the kids which were great and kept them well occupied and they did make some new friends.
The 2 sites booked were supposed to be side by side due to my wifes broken ankle, but ended up being about 300 m apart and we had to drive between the sites.
There never seemed to be any park management pressence, we witnessed the staff working but that was all, no-one seemed to be about after 4pm. 10pm curfew was never observed and got noisey at times, kids were still riding their bikes after dark without lights we couldnt see them coming but could hear them, lighting was either poor, non-existant or inoperative with many power pole lights not working. Cleaning was poor at best with litter accumulating between cleans around toilet bowls and in corners and I don't think the floors were ever properly mopped as the water in the mop bucket was also dirty. Its not acceptable to have so many patrons and only clean the ammenities block once a day. We also noticed the same rubbish around the grounds for the duration of our stay. In the newest toilet block, every toilet seat was crocked and in the older block 2 of the 3 soap holders were falling off the wall.
The office staff did not respond to my phone calls and when I did manage to get through I was told how busy they were, there was no attempt to provide help or assistance especially to those towing vans. Just to advise the best direction to approach the allocated site can be of enormous help especially to the older generation.
Someone needs to write a training manual from the owner down, rather than just sit back and take the money.

Stayed two nights in a 2brdm riverfront cabin - very clean & comfortable with a relaxing deck to sit & watch all the river activity. Our 10yo enjoyed the pools, water park & games room. Very family friendly with helpful staff which made for a great weekend away.

We just spent 4 nights at the park and now wish we had booked longer. Two swimming pools and a water park, fantastic game room and very clean and tidy.
We had our caravan on an ensuite site and had plenty of room for the caravan and annex and sons swag and plenty of room to spare. Ensuite sites were well spaced and modem.
The staff were friendly and you could hire a pontoon boat which we did and very well priced for a half day. The half day (3 hrs) got you well up the Murray and the boat was well equiped and took the 7 of us in comfort.
We drove from Sydney and this was our 2nd stop on our road trip with 2 teenage kids and hope to get back there sooner than later. Great park

Great place to be at during the day. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Cant fault that however at night its a different story. I read the terms and conditions and it clearly stated NO loud noise after 10pm which includes parties and loud music.m, and for some reason this rule is abused, they can get kicked out. Well... the guests next to us in the cabin started playing loud music to the point where i could hear it in our room where our baby was sleeping and then they were screaming and just being stupid. Rang the after hours number and the guy was not only rude to us but we had to ring 3 times as nothing got done. NOTHING. The group continued till after midnight. Unreal.. will not be returning to this park due to this. Its supposed to be family friendly right? Well what part of family friendly allows this behaviour? If your going to make terms and conditions atleast follow through.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review after staying with us at Discovery Parks - Maidens Inn, Moama. Great to read that you felt our accommodation was clean and well equipped with everything you needed for your stay. We're most apologetic to read however that noise from other guests impacted your stay, that's very disappointing. Please be assured that our team at the park did address this noise with the group directly, however we're sorry to hear that it continued beyond this and that you had trouble reaching us through the after-hours number. We'll address this with our team, and we appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. We hope you'll give us another chance, as we love hosting you. Kind Regards, the Discovery Parks team.

Loved our stay (camping) on ensuite site 10. The site was HUGE and the ensuite was left and VERY clean/modern. The park is great for kids, there are two pools - one was gas heated (amazing for sept school hols!), jumping pillow, a few playgrounds. Splashpark looked great but too cold for us this time but a few brave kids were in it. The camp kitchen and bbq area near our site was really clean. Plenty of tables/chairs around the park. Laundry and ammenities were all very clean. We loved the free activities in school holidays like the inflatable obstacle course and the food vans/coffee/ice cream vans were a welcome addition. Location is right on the river (2 boat ramps) and a 5 min drive into Echuca.
We will be back!

We were around the other side near the tennis court in a en-suite cabin. I think the pool and playground is at the front of the park, I’m unsure what they are called sorry
Hi Alyce,
The waterpark is unavailable to the public from 26th December to 26th January, peak periods, public holidays/long weekends, and local special events. If you're looking to make a booking, we advise that you call the park beforehand and ask if the waterpark is available.
Kind regards,
Discovery Parks
Hi Beck,
All of the local clubs do have courtesy buses that can pick you up at the park. The waterpark will be open to the public on the 24th of December 2016. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind Regards,
