We stayed 3 nights on the tent houseboat. Our family of 4 absolutely loved it!
The staff at the boats were amazing and helped us know our way around the boat and showed us how to drive it.
It was spacious and had everything we needed. It had a kitchen with cooking utensils, a gas cook top with grill and an outside bbq. It had drinking water, a fridge, a tv just for dvds (we never used) a hand held shower in with the toilet. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets for those cooler night.
Only 2 fold up camping chairs on board but there were plenty of chairs to sit on the back deck.
We loved cruising around and being able to have the breeze run through the boat on a hot day, I laid on the bed taking in the amazing view while my partner drove the boat.
The kids had a great time and they were supplied with life vest that fit them. We even spent some time at the resort which had lots of fun things for the kids to do.

It was such a relaxing weekend and I would love to do it again, we would highly recommend the tent houseboat, it was the perfect size.

My family along with other members of our extended family and friends have been coming to this place since 2007. My wife and I actually were the fisrt people to get their feet wet in the kiddy pool.
Ive stayed in various cabins from old to new.
For the first time upon arrival the greeting and welcome that my wife and friend received upon coming was appalling. We always got a great warm welcome but not this time.
We did not let her ruin our trip. The park is getting too old for our kids now but we still like the atmosphere. Its awesome for young families with many great things to be doe.
One big let down now is the run down condition of the cabins. The maintanance man Damien is awesome and has no problem fixing things. The cabins are getting on.
The TV's are still 32 inch.
Chairs are wonky,
Flyscreen doors tend to fall off rails.
Master bed is on castor wheels which tends to move about.
Toilet roll holder always flimsy
Deck is near dangerous with rot setting in at places. Just watch your step.
The gap between the deck is large too. Dont drop anything 8mm thin.
Taps in sink are loose/
Cleaning could be better.
Blinds in our room (Ventitian) are terrible in letting light in
Things do need updating and repair. The couches were finally replaced 3 years ago which was a good move.
I would still recommend this place despite the very rude welcome we received.

Thanks for your feedback. Great to hear that you have had many years of enjoying the resort with your family. I am disappointed to hear that your arrival this year was not met with the warm welcome our team usually provide to our guests. We will be undertaking training in this area to ensure all our guests are welcomed with a friendly smile and helpful attitude. We have referred your maintenance issues to our maintenance department for immediate attention. The resort is currently upgrading some of the villas with new blinds and we have a review process in place that will allow regular upgrades of villa fit outs as required. With 117 villas this is a gradual process but one that we believe to be very important for our guests comfort and enjoyment. Thanks again for taking the time to post a review.

We hired a River Explorer for three nights. These are the cheapest self-contained houseboat offered by Moana on the Murray Holiday Park Resort. The houseboat was easy to drive and proved compact but functional.

It was well stocked with with cooking utensils, linen and plenty of thoughtful extra like torches and beach towels. It was great to have hot water, a hot shower and a comfortable bed every day. The BBQ on the front deck also made it easy to prepare meals whoever we didn’t want use the kitchenette cooktop.

The resort provided a detailed instruction folder that also included detailed river maps. We found the boat easy to drive. Docking each night was a breeze. Just drive up onto the banks of a scenic stretch of river and tie up to tree. It couldn’t be easier. The resort staff were always friendly and helpful. They were also very accommodating and always reasonable with requests and tactical support.

We took the resort’s advice and spent our first night about 1km down the river on the edge of the speed controlled (no wake) zone just round the bend from the new river crossing bridge. This let us to get familiar with the boat before venturing upstream on our second day close to Morning Glory Resort. We went this far upstream to get away from the jet skis and water skiing who dominate the lower reaches (mainly downstream from the Goulburn River junction.

As a first time experience on the Murray River this houseboat was a cost effective and easy to master option. Our only disappointment was the the boat was starting to show a few signs of wear and tear. While it was always functional it wasn’t always glamorous.

We stayed 6 nights in a one bedroom unit. It was very clean. The unit was quite large, including a large bedroom area and an especially large bathroom.
The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen included a full range of crockery and utensils for two people. The unit included a clothes washing machine. The particular unit had a great outlook into the bush area along the river and was only a short walk from the river. All other units appeared to have a good outlook either looking into the external bush or the well maintained resort garden. We used one swimming pool, which was well set out, with seating areas and shade cloth and would be particularly good for children with a maximum depth of 0.9m. We used the bush walking track along the river a couple of times, which provided a pleasant short walk.
The reception staff were quite helpful, and as with all other staff who passed by, were very friendly. The resort had free WiFi which was quite strong while we were there, although there were not many units occupied, so probably few users.
The resort was very quiet when we were there, although it would probably be busy with many families during the main holiday periods.

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at Moama on Murray Resort. The staff are very helpful and while always being available, keep themselves quiet to allow you to get on with your day.

The accommodation was a 3 bedroom on stilts overlooking the Lagoon Pool which was excellent for the kids to play in and around.

The resort has a lovely relaxed feel and while it might get busy at certain times of year, everyone is here for the same thing, a getaway to beautiful Echuca / Moama.

One recommendation for the houses with Stilts, if you're going to put the washing machine / laundry on, start it when you go out, the machine and the house shake while the machine is in spin!

A wonderful and enjoyable time, we will definitely be back.

Thank you.

We kept saying how much we would have liked a resort like this when our children were younger and how much our grandkids would love it here. So many activities, both indoor & out, so no matter the weather the family can enjoy time together. Lots of bbq areas dotted around the resort which was great. The layout of the cabins was really good and didn't feel squeezed in. Lots of thought has gone in to this resort and it shows. Not only was there a great shower there was also a full size bath. Will definitely stay here again.

Check in was straight forward, staff informative and helpful. My wife and I were allocated a single ground floor unit, dedicated parking, perfect for our needs. The room was spotless, all crockery and cutlery was available and in great condition. Bed very comfortable, didn't avert a hangover, though!! Beautiful surrounds, typical for Murray River properties. Very quiet.

Kids enjoyed the outdoor facilities. Playhouse had seen better days though. All other facilities were good. Accommodation was clean and beds were comfortable. Rangehood had a missing part that couldn't be replaced, challenged with cooking smell because of it. It was checked but not fixed. I wish shower racks were installed in both showers not just one because guests do use soap when they shower. Toilet Bins could be bigger and reception maybe not too stingy with dishwashing tablet for a larger family staying for 4 days. I understand the limited supply but maybe best if it can be proportional to your length of stay. Overall still was a pleasant stay. I'd recommend it if you wanted kids to have heaps of things to do. Just bring supplies.

Family weekend at the resort. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with our initial impression of the place. Staff at reception were friendly and welcoming. Our three bedroom villa was clean and provided spacious rooms-what you’d expect for your standard villa. Perfect location with serene settings of bush land and wild life. Good atmosphere. The only thing I could say or suggest was some of the amenities were in desperate need of an upgrade. The majority of bbqs were rusted so much they were unusable. The attraction of the squiggles play centre was most underwhelming with very few things to entertain the children. Equipment was very warn and out dated. One of the reasons we choose the resort was the kids were excited about the jumping pillow which we recently discovered was closed and replaced with a very small dinosaur water area and playground nothing special. The biggest disappointment for us was the pools. Advertised a luxurious heated lagoon pool it was far from it. The pool wasn’t clean. The water was freezing and the temperature of the spa was Luke warm not much difference in comparison to the pool and safety aspects around the water wert there either. The mini golf course was ok although some of the piping was cracked so you couldn’t sink the ball properly. Fencing around the perimeter was lacking in safety aspects. All in all in was good but not fantastic a few meters up the road is the discovery park that looks better with few more amenities at a cheaper rate.

Hi kimkendy33, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We really appreciate you mentioning our friendly and welcoming staff, clean and spacious accommodation, perfect location, and good atmosphere. We are sorry to see that some other aspects of the resort didn’t quite meet your expectations and that this negatively affected your stay. As with many resorts, we have a development plan in place, and we value your feedback as it gives us the opportunity to prioritise future upgrades. Our pool is also solar heated, so takes the chill off for swimming. We will also be passing on your comments to our maintenance team to address. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

Best cabin that we have stayed in to date on our tour and being so inexpensive made it great value. There was lots of room in the cabin and the fixtures and fittings were of high quality. It was well located near the Murray River in a bush setting which contributed to a quiet and peaceful stay. Only thing missing was HD tv channels.

Hi Use of equipment such as mini golf clubs, tennis racquets, balls etc is free, however we request a deposit of $20 which is held whilst the equipment is out and refunded upon return of the equipment. Canoe hire is $20 half day and $40 full day. Bike hire is no longer available in the resort and is complimentary in Talo Retreat. Pedal car hire is $10 for 50 mins and $20 for 50 mins on the four person pedal car. Squiggles indoor playcentre is $3.50 for in house guests and the water park and jumping pillow are free for guests staying at the resort.

I don't believe so, which is a bit unfortunate. The weather was cold when we were there and the water in the lagoon pool wasn't warm. Might be worth checking with them to be certain :-)

Good Morning I think hair dryers were there-I took my own so I can't say for sure, but linen was supplied in the unit we stayed in. It was a wonderful experience and just loved it. Suggest you contact the resort direct-they are very obliging and very pleasant to deal with and will answer those questions for you. Regards Shirley
