Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Very impressed with the food and service. A great range of classic pub meals but they took it up a notch or two with dishes such as prawn linguine as well as barramundi with potatoes, braised leek and peas.. both of which were absolutely delicious.

This would be a five star review except for the rude male security staff member who was upset with us that we hadn't signed in(covid19) as we entered, there was no sign or register for customers at the entrance, it was obviously his job to check people in(record details) as they arrive, but we must have unintentionally caught him out, resulting in his rude behaviour towards us. All other staff members were great, fast, good quality food, steak cooked perfectly. With 20yrs experience in hospitality, I get fed up with people in the industry who either don't enjoy what they do or don't know how to talk to people. If you don't like it, do us all a favour and leave or lean how to interact with customers appropriately.

I had the job of finding accommodation for 11 workmates who were travelling from Melbourne, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga and Narrandera and a day out on a BBQ boat on the Murray at Echuca/Moama. All of my workmates were extremely thankful for my great choice. We were treated like royalty by the team. The could not do enough for us. Accommodation was very clean and tidy and the Bistro meals that night were first class. All staff were outstanding and the breakfast was also a winner. I had been in Hotels for 25 years and never have I found such value and more importantly atmosphere and service all in the one spot. GREAT GREAT SPOT.

The staff were very friendly & professional, ensuring that we had a room on the ground floor, to assist my husband's mobility issue. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. Walking distance to shops, cafes and clubs. Bed had an electric blanket, which was very welcome on a cold night. We will definitely visit this hotel again.

Had lunch with my mum and husband. A pleasant dining area with a lovely outdoor courtyard. We shared a san choi bau entree which was delicious. My husband’s hamburger looked well cooked and substantial. My grilled fish and chips with salad was one of the best I’ve had. After a lovely chocolate pudding and a coffee we left feeling very satisfied. We would definitely go back again.

$200 a night for a twin makes it one of the most expensive motels in rural Australia . I should have checked prior. It's fair to say I was surprised.Rooms are clean and tidy. Bistro meals very good as were the hotel staff.Best to stay somewhere else and dine here.

The rooms week very average for 90 bucks a night this is the second time and I'll be looking elsewhere next time. The beds were not done, cups were not changed, towels were not changed, not enough milk, tea or coffee and no microwave. "Not Happy Jan".

Hi Ashley I'ts disappointing that you did not have a positive experience with us . Our rooms are not serviced daily as this enables us to keep our room tariffs the lowest in Moama. We have discussed your points and are taking steps to make this clear to our customers when they stay with us in the future. We offer extra towels and milk, tea & coffee upon request at no extra charge but our rooms do not come standard with any cooking facilities such as microwaves. Once again i apologise that you were not made aware of these conditions and hope with this knowledge you will consider our great value in the future

The breakfast at the Border Inn was great quality. We had Eggs Benedict and Salmon Benedict and it was so good we returned for the same the next morning! Lovely fresh food, generous servings and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful and obviously very proud of the standard of the hotel.we also went there for dinner for their Steak Night (Tuesdays) $36 steak reduced to $24 - great meal - this time in their courtyard which was very pleasant. Would definitely return there for breakfast or dinner!

Mostly was pretty happy. But rooms were not serviced. Staying in a motel usually means that when you go out during the day, housekeeping has at least been in at some point. But no. When we returned, the rooms were as we left them. Other than that we were pretty happy.

Hi Kdinya, thankyou for staying with us. Due to increased cost of servicing our rooms we have made the choice of not servicing the rooms during our guest stay so that we could keep our prices low. Upon request we still provide fresh linen when requested at no charge. Thank you for your feedback and we will ensure that we make our customers aware of this in the future. I hope you will stay with us on your next visit.

We booked a room across the road from the hotel and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. Room was basic but shower was fantastic and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing across at the hotel with a discount when you show your room key. Peter was attentive and a great up seller! 😆 Would definitely stay again. Can't speak for the budget rooms behind the hotel.
