Detailed Reviews
We booked a double room with private bathroom for a 3 night stay over Easter. We know we booked budget accommodation but were very disappointed. Our room certainly didn't look like any photos on the website. The room was on the ground floor which was great, but it was very small, one small table and one chair (looked like an outdoor garden setting), no space or cupboards to hang up clothing, nowhere to hang up wet towels after a shower. No drawers to put clothing in. There were 3 pillows but they were too soft (all soft as marshmallow). The bed was comfy. In the 3 days we were there no one emptied our rubbish bin. We're happy to make our own bed and didn't expect clean towels every day but I would have expected the rubbish bin to be emptied. We had to phone when we arrived and a lady arrived about 10 minutes later. We couldn't get into our room straight away because the cleaner 'hadn't turned up' and our room had to be cleaned. The room was clean. The are no bedside lamps (and no room for one) and the only light is a very bright light in the ceiling. From reading other reviews it would appear that the renovations have been ongoing for sometime and we wonder if they will ever be completed. The hotel is in a great location and a handy walk into town to clubs, cafes and shops. The staff were helpful. On the Sunday night we had to investigate a lot of noise upstairs (what sounded like moving furniture and loud footsteps). We were told at 9.23p.m. that the apartment above us was being cleaned and it shouldn't take long. I don't know why the apartment had to be cleaned at night. We did get a car park which was a bonus.

We reached at around midnight and the hotel gave us clear instructions on how to collect key in the after hours. When we reached the hotel, the passenge way is very dark, one of the room toilet's light has blown so there is no light while taking shower. The room is quite clean and bed is quite comfy.

It should be nice when completed, however there’s a lot to be done and I think completion a long way off.
Our room was very clean with hand basin, small table & 2 chairs, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, tea making facility and flat screen t.v.
The electric kettle was too big to fit under the hand basin tap and should be replaced by a smaller kettle.
We felt the furniture was badly placed in the room and I guess this will be adjusted in due course, along with the removal of the appliance stickers still adorning the appliances.
We did not like the shared UNISEX bathroom and felt quite uncomfortable / unsafe sharing with the opposite sex.
There are no mirrors in the bathroom or the bedroom.
The Community Kitchen off the bedrooms is nice and bright and offers an alternative to eating in your room.
Parking on site is limited and once the hotel is operating will be difficult to park in the street.
The lock to our room was very fickle and needs to be upgraded.
Hard to recommend in its present condition.
The young female Manageress is very pleasant .

Well where to start.
The pictures on the site are very deceiving. It was hard to breathe in the room from the dust lingering in the air.
Firstly the actual Hotel/Pub is condemned. It was closed for renovations which we were not told about when booking.
The hotel is at the end of a very dark street, and I did not feel safe at all. When checking in we were led down a corridor to outside where it was open and anyone from the public could access.
Opening the door to the room we found that the fridge was leaking.
The table in the room was absolutely filthy and the floor was sticky. There was no toilet roll holder in the toilet, this was just a minor thing and you could cope with this.
The bed was uncomfortable and the size of the bed was alot smaller than advertised.
Under the bed was that much dust and rubbish it looked like they swept everything under there all the time and have never taken it away.
The lock on the door, well if you could call it that was not secure at all.
The shower and toilet were redone that is the only positive.
Be aware when booking this hotel.

If you are looking for a place just to get a night’a sleep on a drive from somewhere to somewhere then this is it. Cheap, clean, basic and comfortable. It is not pretending to be anything else. Communal shower/toilet. The room has a basin/fridge/TV/kettle with basis tea&coffee supplied. Ear plugs handy if you are a light sleeper

Terrible service, do not recommend...
Upon arrival there was no one to serve me and spent some time waiting. When was finally seen to, the in keeper appeared wearing a big robe and was apparently intoxicated. He had no knowledge of my online booking and was even more time sorting it out. Throughout he was constantly clearing his throat which was disgusting.
Once finally sorted the room I went down stairs and was immediately harassed by a man hanging around the staff room area. The keeper had to step in! Did not feel safe the entire stay. Room smelled of bleach and common showers worked poorly. Very noisy plumbing that can be heard from the rooms.
Not worth the small saving of $20 for other motels available

Room wasn’t cleaned. Bed wasn’t cleaned.
Also very messing in the hallways.
The staff working at the time said they would give a refund, but had to send a few days later because only the owner could do it.
Refund never came through.
Terrible hotel with dishonest management and staff.

I booked in here with good expectations after viewing the photos of the renovations but I was very disappointed. No cold water out of the basin in the room. One unisex bathroom with no locks on the showers. Ladies toilets out of order. Mattress in the hallway due to Reno's. It was an absolute mess , couldn't stay here. Left immediately.

Spend a night, not a fortune at this revamped hotel. Rooms are bright & attractive. My Bed was super comfy. Best hot shower I have ever had. Try it. Friendly & attentive management run this place who really do care.

Odd. The place looks like a pub from the outside. Beer signs. Relatively new paintwork. However, no lights on inside on a Friday night in January when I am thirsty after a day of driving.
This pub has clearly closed so my thirst and I walked on.
But as I head around the corner to the other side of the pub, a door was swinging in the wind. Still no lights on and very creepy so I pulled the door shut and walked on even faster.
An older, weathered woman next door looked at me. Clearly not happy that I was there.
Stay away.
