Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife adult son and 2 small dogs stayed here in one of the pet friendly rooms in Mid December 2021. The rooms were large with a microwave oven, couch which is a pull out bed and front grassed area just outside the room where your dogs can do wees etc. The female manager was very accomodating. Fridge is stocked as a mini bar with soft drink, beer etc and prices are very reasonable. We were towing a trailer and there is plenty of room to leave it attached to your car. Overall a very pleasant experience and the best pet motel we have ever stayed at.

I have been staying from time to time at this motel on a fairly regular basis for over 12 months. The decor may be a little dated, but the bed is comfortable.
Each room has a little kitchenette with microwave and stocked bar fridge. I've never had a problem with the regulating temperature as all rooms appear to have AC. Showers are hot with good water pressure.
Any issues the staff have been friendly and sorted it out quickly.
The motel is set up in a U-shape - there is no reserved parking at your door but you can usually get a spot just a few steps from your front door.
Seems a favourite for tradies during the week.
My impression is that there has been a change of ownership/new management since last year but all the good features of the place are still there.

The rooms in this location are very comfortable and modern. Rooms are warm, even in the middle of winter. The beds have electric blankets.

The walls of the rooms are solid and do a good job of insulating. The furniture is solid and will not move, shake, or make a noise when being used.

I have stayed at this motel ever time my wife & I travel from home to Sydney for my wife's cancer treatment with no problems as we are both over 80, On the 16th of November I booked two rooms, one for my wife & I, & one for a friend, before I left home I checked my bank statement & seen that the two rooms had come out of my bank $290.00. on arrival at the motel there was a new manager, she had taken our friends card to pay for he’s room, I told the manager that the two rooms had been taken from my card, she said she will look at register that night & reimburse my card. The next morning I asked if she fixed my card up, she said she will do it on Monday the 18th, I phone her on Tuesday the 19th & said the $145.00 was not in my bank, she said it will take a few days, phoned her again on Friday the 22nd she said she had reimbursed my card. By the 27th 10 days have passed & I STILL have not receded anything from Willows Motel Goulburn.

I stayed at this hotel one night (luckily) as there are limited options when travelling with a dog. The two ‘pet friendly’ rooms are at the front of the hotel and right next to the busy main road in and out of Goulburn, so quite noisy.Access to the room was somewhat difficult due to a deck area out front so you have to walk around to get into the room. Stairs from the parking area would have been useful. On opening the door to the room you are hit with the smell of deodoriser which is overwhelming. My immediate thought is what are they hiding. The room was large and tidy enough but there were stains on the bed cover (see photos) and marks on the bed sheets. The room itself not as nice looking as the photos of the rooms in the rest of the hotel. The towels were yellow instead of white and rather thin. My dogs nose immediately started sniffing as soon as he got in the room which doesn’t normally happen in pet friendly hotels so clearly the cleaning isn’t up to scratch. The bed was not particularly comfortable and I suspect these rooms get the hand me downs from other rooms. I slept with a towel on the pillow as I felt uncomfortable with what might be lurking below. The sofa also was very grubby. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is that the guy at reception when I arrived (which was late) was friendly enough. Certainly not worth the $155 I spent for this substandard room.

Beware: this motel is not trustworthy! I had made an overnight booking and when we arrived after a long, tiring journey, our room was unavailable. It had been let to someone else!! The previous night's booking had asked if they could stay another night so our booking was peremptorily cancelled!! We were informed that a booking had been made for us at another motel which we found very unsuitable. A fundamental, international rule of hospitality is to honour a guest's booking. No honour at The Willows!

Stayed here to avoid an approaching storm and had no major problems. Nice lady on reception. Room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfy. Although it’s near a main road it was very quiet and we had no complaints about value at this price point.

We stayed here after a drive from the Gold Coast via Port Macquarie, we were greeted at the reception and checked into room 3 which was a 2 bedroom. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. The bed was quite comfortable and the location is excellent with no road noise. Would happily stay on our next trip past Golburn.

Very welcoming, friendly, and efficient reception. Dan is as laid back as they come. Very clean room. A/C well located so it didn’t blow directly on the bed. Kettle, mini-fridge, and microwave included. Comfy bed with new crisp sheets. Tons of hot water in the shower. Tidy and clean parking area. The small seating area just outside the door with a small patio table was a great spot to take in the sunset. We stayed on our first night in Auz and again on our second to last. The first night was with a smaller room but the second was a much larger one which included a sofa. Only negatives were the slightly worn carpets in both rooms. We came back the 2nd time because we found the first night very restful. Definitely would come again.
