Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in a 3 bed delux cabin - nice cabin, except it was filthy. Towels had dirty marks on them, dirty handprints on the wall, kitchen hadn’t been wiped over, there were marks all over the cook top, spilt food on floor, mould in shower recess, couch was covered in stains, dishwasher didn’t work (we weren’t advised) and had cockroaches in it - it was truly gross. We’ve stayed in a lot of holiday park cabins and have never seen somewhere this disgusting. This is another level of unclean. There was also an extremely loud buzzing noise coming from a box attached to the outside wall of the cabin- sounds like a generator but couldn’t be. Tried to work out what it is and/or how to make it stop to no avail.

We stayed in a cabin, it smelt like people had been smoking in there!!!! The bathrooms were ABSOLUTELY filthy. The only thing that saved this park for us was the fact that we were only staying for one night & it was really cheap! The pool was also filthy but it was so hot that we let the kids swim anyway. Lots of room to improve. We won’t be back anytime soon. Proceed with caution!

We stayed in a family cabin for 3 nights. The cabin was modern, had decent airconn and kitchen supplies. We found it to be clean and comfortable. The park was also very clean and well organized. It was quiet, and the other patrons were respectful of the neighbors. The location is central to all of the Dubbo sights. We did not hear noise from the road. It was very quiet at night. The wifi is slow, if you go to the lounge room that is next to the office it is a little better. Not a big deal. We would definitely stay at another NRMA park.

The park is in a great location (albeit with a decent amount of road noise from the highway) and very accessible to all attractions. It has a pool to enjoy with an excellent shade cover, good sized jumping pillow and “old school” playground which has been repainted to be bright and colourful, as well as basketball hoop for the older kids to enjoy. The whole play area is shaded with shade sails and the playground has an excellent kid safe fence. The amenities have had a recent refurbishment, look great, and do what they need to do. Unfortunately other than having good (possibly brand new) connection boxes for vans that it about all I can say positive about the sites. As new(ish) owners of the park the NRMA has a lot of work in front of them as the sites are dust, rocks and really unpleasant. The park prides itself in being dog friendly and I don’t see this as a positive as honestly there were more dogs than kids. Yes the owners were all responsible and all dogs on leads (with no evidence of dog mess) however when a dog is on a site for a period of time and only has a limited space to urinate in it smells and if you are the next person on the site with small kids - gee lucky you! I’m sure it is an unpopular opinion but if this is the way that all NRMA sites are headed we will be finding other parks from now on. Check in experience great and everyone in the office friendly and helpful. I wish the NRMA well in their ownership but we will not be staying here again.

Super friendly staff greeted us. Check-in was very easy. We only stayed for one night, wished it had have been longer. Great family friendly facilities (jumping pillow, pool and playground) and activities to keep kids entertained in the school holiday. We had an ensuit van site, it was suitable. A little dated but had everything we needed.

The cabin was fine and the atmosphere friendly. Unfortunately we put in "Dubbo Holiday Park" into the GPS and it took us to the Discovery Park site. The reception staff there were very friendly even though we were in the wrong place. The cabins looked modern and newly painted. When we got to the NRMA park it seemed a little tired in comparison but it was fine. And to note the Discovery Park cabins are more expensive so I guess you get what you pay for

We stayed here 2 nights (my husband, myself, and our 3 year old Jack Russell, Tiger) To our delight, we were given a site that was fully fenced and gated! Tiger was able to wander around the yard at his leisure. Loved the site, I think all dog friendly caravan parks should follow suit. Highly recommend.

No shower curtain in bathroom. Rings were there but no curtain! Online checkin system not easy to navigate - our cabin had facilities for a pet outside (small enclosed yard). We booked on the phone with the park’s office, as were using a letter of credit from a previously cancelled booking for payment, yet when it came to using the online checkin system, it was difficult because no choice had been registered when the booking was made re a pet! Good bed (although only a double size). Some furniture & parts of bathroom showing signs of wear & tear. Some reception staff bit snappy - must have had a bad day! ☹️ Outdoor staff great to deal with!! 👍👌

Hi Jocelyn, Thanks for your review, our apologies you had no shower curtain, I have passed this on to our housekeepers. we have been undergoing refurbishment and with hard work, our park is getting better everyday. Sorry you found our staff 'snappy,' I will also pass this feedback on, however I believe we have the friendliest staff and they love what they do. Our grounds boys are the best as well. thanks for the lovely comments. We hope you do return again and see how good we are, Cheers

A great caravan park in an ideal location, close to the Main Street but far enough away. The park was well designed, so much space and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The amenities were basic but comfortable and park facilities such as jumping pillow and pool were great. The only downside is that this park is a busy little spot with lots of people coming in late and leaving early so a bit of noise from the neighbours was the only thing that we could comment on. Overall a great place to stop.
