We stayed from the 24th April for 3 nights to visit the Zoo, Anne and Trevor were very welcoming when we arrived, Trevor gave us a tour guide for the Zoo and we saved money by buying our Zoo tickets from Anne. Everything is close to the motel, Restaurants are walking distant, shopping mall is a 5min drive, Dubbo Gaol...

We stayed 2 nights at The Shearing Shed to allow a full day visit to Western Plains Zoo plus some time just looking around. This is a great place to stay. Walking distance to the main shopping street and some very good restaurants. The rooms were quiet, clean and tidy and looked newly painted. The aircon was very quiet, you...

Very helpful staff. Comfy beds and quite reasonable price right in town. Some noisy pipes audible in the night. Some nice and unfortunately unusual environmental touches... Recycling bins in the rooms. Milk in reusable glass bottles.

After travelling through Dubbo regularly and staying at another establishment, I decided I need a new motel due to wanting a family room. I looked for something good that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and I found this wonderful motel. From booking to booking out, the whole experience was positive. We arrived a little early for check in...

Great place to stay. It was a clean room. Breakfast was prompt. Pool was clean. Easy parking. Helpful staff with great recommendations for places to visit. The only negative was the kid's metal framed bunk bed was very squeaky every time the above child moved.

The shearing shed motel in Dubbo was a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. The rooms are clean, neat and tidy and very spacious, as a family of four our family spa unit was exceptional both space wise and functionality. Management were exceptionally welcoming and no job was too big or too small for them to ensure we enjoyed our stay....

We stayed with our four children for two nights at The Shearing Shed. Anne was very friendly, accommodating and assisted us with cooking utensils for the BBQ which we had in the new pergola area, and printed out our tickets to the Dubbo zoo. The room was great for the six of us with a separate room for the kids....

The Shearing Shed was the last motel we stayed at in our long drive around SE Australia, so we are experts now on value for money. The first impression was very favourable .... you truly could not meet friendlier, more welcoming people. Everyone we met, from the hosts to the cleaner, were uniformly helpful, charming and kind. Nothing was too...
