We were doubtful at first as there is no real reception and just barrows to take your belongings to the suites However, the rooms are great and the concept is marvellous The great benefit is the private evening and morning tours The evening meal is long tables where you share the dishes , passing them around. We thought the African...

One night stay at the Zoofari Lodge, met by the wonderful John who was the guide, bus driver, bar tender, waiter and book of knowledge about the zoo and the animals. He had a good sense of humor too. The accommodation was fantastic, comfortable, relaxing, high quality - highly recommend. The experience overall was amazing, cocktails gave us a chance...

What a fantastic experience, the behind the scenes tours, banquet at night. Watching the elephants being bathed. Hand feeding the giraffes, tigers and bongo. Many thanks to Shannon and Ms Hall for making it all a awesome experience.

We travelled as a family with our 3 and 4yo girls in November. It was indeed a fantastic experience for all of us especially the kids who were amazed by the sights of giraffes, kangaroos, and different animals just in front of our lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, perfect for the ambience. The total package included a dinner,...

Had the best time! We were given the VIP TREATMENT from the moment we arrived! Our guide/bartender Anna was amazing. Funny, super helpful and made the best cocktails - Mamba is a must try. Loved every moment. Thanks to all the guides and animals for an amazing time. Meerkat and Tiger encounters are incredible! Told all my friends and family!

Zoofari is a lovely thing to do. The trip at night and again the morning to see animals like lions and hippos and giraffes and elephants close up is lovely. The food at dinner is delicious and mingling with fellow travellers is enlightening. The ambiance of being in a tent in a 'forest' near the animals is calming and exciting...

We were really looking forward to the Zoofari experience. The concept is a great idea and it was going to be the highlight of our trip to NSW. Unfortunately, it just wasn't up to expectations. It's probably easier to list the pros and cons. What we liked: 1. The accommodation was good, comfortable bed and good bathroom. No TV, wifi,...

We joined another couple to book two cabins within the Zoofari section of the Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo – and it is fantastic. The booking may appear expensive per head to start with – but you get full accommodation in wonderful lodges or rooms overlooking a savannah scene with free-ranging giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, ostriches and heaps of Australian natives...

Despite the long trip from Sydney to Dubbo this experience was totally worth it. As soon as we arrived to the zoofari area we were greeted by a friendly staff who showed us around to our lodge.
