My friends and I had dinner here on Tuesday 11th April and we were very pleasantly surprised. The price is affordable- we only had mains- $32- $35 and glasses of wine each. The choice of meal is varied and the service was very good. The atmosphere in the dining room is elegant and friendly so much so we talked with...

The Royal Exchange Hotel is steeped in Art Deco design and I found myself many times standing and staring at the restored hotel. We found the rooms a little on the small size, but that is dictated but the design of the hotel in 1940, not much you can do about that but be aware if you are booking and...

I didn't stay at the hotel but dined there on several occasions whilst on a two week working trip. This is the best restaurant in Broken Hill, I tried several others but kept coming back. The staff are professional and friendly, the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

The room was beautifully decorated with plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable. We dined at the Restaurant and the meal was top shelf food. We loved our experience at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers.

She's showing her age and trying to conceal it with a few modern in-room amenities but nothing can hide the size and dated facilities of the bathroom other than a full renovation. Pros: * enormous, comfy bed * large room with sofa and desk * free WiFi * fully-stocked mini-bar fridge (large enough to hold your own snacks too) *...

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Exchange twice in January. Once we had a front room ($10 more expensive) and once a back room. Both were immaculately clean with nice furnishings. The bed was comfortable with high quality linens. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly and very professional. Being in this hotel transports you to the...

In 1885, this hotel was the 53rd hotel in Broken Hill to be given a licence. It was rebuilt in 1941 and exhibits an art deco style. At first sight, it looks like a pub/hotel, but this is no longer the case. We had a king room with a wonderfully comfortable bed in a quiet room. The hotel is convenient...

The exchange hotel is a very well kept country hotel. It has a lot of charm to it while been very clean and offering a good service. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, with good sized beds and bathrooms. On Monday nights the restaurant is closed, however, there are a number of nearby options. The restaurant here is very food and...

Broken Hill is a strange place. A memory to times gone by. Some of the old houses still reflect the wealth of the early 20th century. One of the nicest examples - this hotel. It is oldfashioned, nostalgic, it has atmosphere. The rooms are nice - many different types, partly quite small. Bathrooms very good. Great restaurant, nice bar. Breakfast...

Stayed here recently and was happy with room. Disappointed that we chose a balcony room (paid extra) and found no place to sit and take advantage of it. No off street parking which we overlooked when booking. Unable to leave balcony door open as no screen and no windows so felt a little claustrophobic but all in all good spot...
