It’s a quaint old hotel that used to be a pub. It’s centrally located in town and we walked everywhere. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. We liked the ambience and art deco style. We were promptly greeted by a happy staff member. The squeaky floor boards walking up and down the stairs made it feel old worldly and added atmosphere to the place. Our room had a comfortable king bed with balcony access. Shower/bath set up. Spacious room with fan and aircon. Breakfast $15pp if needed. We didn’t eat in. Plenty of cafés around town. Street parking. Night access key to front foyer door. No lift.

We would stay here again . It’s central and quiet and although maybe a little tired it is still very charming with its gorgeous Art Deco features . Our room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable . The shower is over the bath . The continental breakfast was actually much better than the way it was described and a perfect start to the day .There are two cafes across the road if you want the bustling vibe but we were very happy with our hotel breakfast in the lovely quiet dining room . Staff are helpful and obliging and I think cooked breakfast is available if you ask .

A hotel with too much potential but little in the way of delivery, feels like it's all about cost cutting. Staff pleasant enough, but they wont call a cab for you. Rooms pleasant but paper thin walls. Wrap around balcony is a highlight. WIFI was completely useless, had one bar at best, and connection kept dropping out. The dining room is grand but sits idle until breakfast, and the front doors were closed by 6pm so the all round feel was a little gloomy. Open the bar, add a restaurant, spice it up a bit, return it to a bit of it's old grandness and you'd get a 4.5, plus more guests.

Centrally located, this is a comfortable spacious older style hotel. The architecture is great. The veranda is magnificent. Staff were friendly and knowlegeable. Close to restuarants and everything that BH has to offer, and reasonably priced. What more could you want .

Very very average! Tired and grubby……I so wanted to love this place as it appeared to have everything that we love from yesteryear!!! We found ourselves wanting………the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water - those are the only positives!!! Could hear other guests and their tv’s from across the hallway, don’t waste your money!

This is an historic hotel and you can see how grand it must have been in its heyday. Though still well looked after it is in need of upgrading. When we visited they were not fully back to all services post covid (e.g. a light breakfast was the only meal offered). We stayed in Room 23, the corner room on the first floor. It has access to their very wide balcony which looks out onto the main street. Enjoyed sitting out there and soaking it all in. No parking offered.

This is all about atmosphere - beautifully restored art deco hotel. That means restored in a true sense not a modern reinterpretation so it is like stepping back in time. Rooms were very comfortable, reception friendly and its a good location in the heart of Broken Hill. Style has its downsides - no lift and a very long staircase to carry bags up, no parking - so you are on the street which is limited and has time restrictions during the day, and my room had a very deep bathtub / shower which could be problematic if you had mobility issues. There is a very grand dining room which is only used for breakfast which is a shame and which didn't look particularly inviting so went to a nearby cafe. Overall an interesting experience and good value for money.

.....both outside, and inside. I was in a single room, which was perfect for my needs (I notice some reviewers have called it "poky" - I disagree). Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean. Excellent linen and furnishings. My room's window looked on to the front street, and provided natural light during the day. A comfortable chair was provided. Biscuits (joy!), coffee and tea. A/c, tv, and wifi worked well. Note: I found the bathtub deep. But I was just extra-careful when getting in and out. Reception was really friendly and helpful, as was the restaurant staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to return.

A step back in time in this Art Deco hotel with its elegant furnishings harking back to a time of understated luxury and refinement. We loved everything about this hotel. It is centrally located and parking is easy on the street opposite the entrance. The receptionists were gracious and helpful. My room had direct access to the wide balcony which we used to enjoy a drink in the early evening. The room was spacious and tastefully furnished with a couch and a lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, white, modern and clean with a deep bath. All the amenities you could want including a fridge and electric blankets. In the morning we ate a very good breakfast in the elegant dining room. This was overall a delightful experience.
