Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve stayed at my fair share of country town motor inns. Most only offer the bare minimum but I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into the Red Earth. Firstly, we were running late, yet the staff kindly stayed back after hours to accommodate our check in. Nicely renovated rooms with a seperate lounge and bedroom with Foxtel loaded big screen TVs in both rooms. Massive walk in wardrobe and bathroom. Short walk to local pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend

We stayed for 7 nights in mid-August at Red Earth Motel. It is well situated in town yet within walking distance to shops. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Five stars to Kathy who went out of her way to help us.

Small town motels don't get better than this family owned motel. The staff are super friendly and they keep everything exceptionally clean. It was within easy walking distance to restaurants, downtown shopping, and the art gallery which is a must see.

Had an excellent stay in August 2023z Check in was super easy and super friendly staff. The room was great and way better than I was expecting. Clean and modern. Full size fridge, comfy bed with a seating area. Free toiletries would have been great but the products they had in the bathroom were fine. Highly recommend this place. If I’m ever back in Broken Hill, I will definitely stay at Red Earth again

Stayed here for 4 nights and was very impressed. For the price you get so much in both size and quality. There is virtually nothing to fault at this motel. Great service, amenities are first rate and it’s like living in an apartment compared to a motel. It’s located literally walking distance into town, such as Broken Hill pub 3 minutes walk away or Macs Bakery 2 mins. Clean, quiet and first rate. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

Stayed here on the way to Mundi Mundi for one night and found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable and even though on a main road, very quiet. Would stay here again without hesitation.
