Not the greatest motel in town but an easy walk into town. Smallish room, comfortable bed but all a bit old & tied.

The bathroom has a walk in shower but the hot water was a bit intermittent. Towels were on the thin side.

There is an outdoor swimming pool. Wifi is available but it’s a bit slow.

Breakfast included a few hot and cold dishes which was just okay.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The office closes and is unattended from 4.30pm onwards. Just when ppl are coming for the night. You have to call them to come from somewhere else and hand you the keys. A smile and a "hows your trip" certainly wouldn't go a stray. Take note whilst unpacking your car. Don't leave the keys in the room. The doors are self locking so if the wind blows the door shut you have to pay $25 for them to come back and open the door. p.s the Willyama restaurant food isn't very nice. Eat somewhere else.

From our arrival and greeting from Juanita to our departure we felt we made the ideal choice to stay at Old Willyama Motor Inn. Great accommodation, good bed and shower, walking distance to eateries for breakfast and dinner though also handy to order a breakfast basket for the morning we needed to depart early. Though near the main road it is tucked back enough that we weren’t aware of traffic noise. Would stay again without hesitation

We arrived at the Willyama after 3 long days driving, tuckered out. We were a part of 6 adults who had booked 3 rooms.

Juanita at the front desk was a delight who literally couldn't do enough to help. She gave us the run down on where to eat and what to see. Special recommendation to make sure we booked somewhere before we went out for dinner as Broken Hill was chockers! She even gave us a loaf of bread to tide us over until the next day!!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable, not too soft or hard. There were plenty of towels and the shower was huge.

Upstairs was a laundry, free for guests with 2 large washing machines and a dryer. One of our party had to leave before getting the dry clothes and they even folded it for him and put it in his room. Great 5 star service.

Thoroughly recommend this Motor Inn.

Stayed at the Old Willyama a few months ago in the hot month of February (2022) and had a very pleasant stay.
Reception staff member really friendly and helpful which was great, plenty of off road onsite parking we had a ground floor room and as motel not fully booked were able to park outside our room.

Motel has rooms on ground and first floors, we didn't get any noise from rooms above but as mentioned before not fully booked at the time we stayed.

Motel has been established for a few years and although my room was not super modern in its styling I didn't find it dated.
Given the time of year we stayed pleased to say the A/C worked well too.

Booked a Deluxe Queen room as per their website, spacious shower in the bathroom, dining table with seating for two and plenty of room to move around.
There is a good sized restaurant onsite which is primarily a Chinese restaurant but also serves 'Aussie" food too. At the time we stayed it was still takeaway only due to Covid but may be different for future travellers.

Excellently located on the corner of Argent Street (the main drag) and Iodide Street, but don't let this put you off we did not experience any noise disturbance, all rooms seem to be well set back from the road.

Really convenient location to walk to shops, restaurants / takeaways and the visitor info centre. A prime location to see some of The Hills heritage like the old town hall building.

Overall I would recommend.

We tried to book into this motel, We need a ground floor unit but were told the only ground floor unit available was their most expensive one. The carpark had three cars in it, the ‘Vacancy’ sign was on, but we think that, because the office had closed at 5 pm, a few minutes earlier, whoever answered the phone just couldn’t be bothered. As frequent visitors to Broken Hill, we will not be going to this venue again. Would hate to intrude on them.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet and far enough away from the road that you don't hear much. The room was nice and clean. Shampoo/conditioner and body wash available and a small hairdryer. Extra pillows etc available in the cupboard. Also, there were some biscuits to have with your coffee!

After much research we spent 5 nights here and we were very pleased we did.
In the perfect position in Broken Hill but still extremely quiet
Room was very clean. Bed was amazing and the shower pressure was the best
Room was cleaned every day and topped up with fresh supplies of tea coffee and bathroom products.
It was so good we even rebooked when we came back for our train journey home
Staff are also great
Highly recommend this hotel

All good. Friendly staff. Only a short walk to main street. Clean and comfortable. Good to see they are one of the seemingly few establishments that still make the beds and give fresh towels (if needed) each day. Not sure why I need to have 200 characters!

Our stay here was comfortable, with a clean and well appointed room, and conveniently located in Broken Hill, with the added convenience of a restaurant onsite. Friendly staff at reception made us feel welcome when we checked in with no prior reservation. The restaurant offered a typical menu with adequate choices and reasonably priced. I would definitely return to Old Willyama Motor Inn.
