Stayed here for one night on our road trip. All rooms are on the ground floor with parking right in front of the unit. Situated at the top end of town made it very quiet The room had a queen bed and a single bed light above the queen bed made for easy reading at night. No complaints with the bed had a great nights sleep.Bathroom had a large rose shower and a glass screen door with complimentary shower gel and shampoo.
Tea/coffee and fresh milk provided.
It is nearly next door to the Panthers club for Dinner or the Hotel is only 70 meters down the road.
We certainly recommend this place to others wanting a quiet stay in Bathurst

We were in the Bathurst district for a wedding recently. During that time we needed a room in town for only 1 night.
We found the Country Lodge to be very convenient, close to our function, up to its 3 star rating as advertised with friendly staff.
We found it good value for money and would recommend it foy the type of trip we were on.

Most of these similar priced hotels in Bathurst are pretty much "you get what you pay for", but to be honest, The Country Lodge exceeded my low expectations. Great location. Panthers Club is right next door. Only a couple of minutes from Mt Panorama. Clean room and great to see decent block-out blinds.
Overall great value for money and will definitely stay here again.
One small criticism, the parking within the complex is really tight, especially for work trucks so street parking is a simpler option and there's plenty around.
Also a microwave would have been handy. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised with the property.

Thanks for your feedback Michael. We are a basic 3 star motel but we offer clean and comfortable accommodation at an affordable price. Whilst there isn't much we can do about the size of the car park in the middle section, there is a additional parking at rear, and driveways either side that can be used. Unfortunately I don't think it was designed for the large work utes of today. In our favour as you say is our location, which is not on the highway, and right next to Bathurst Panthers Leagues Club for food and entertainment, plus an easy walk to the Oxford Hotel and restaurant and just 2 blocks from the CBD, parks and Entertaiment Centre. For rooms that don't have a microwave, we have a couple available on request. We are always available for any requests, including heating food up ourselves for guests if required. Covid prevented us from doing this earlier, but we have also just started a program of full bathroom renovations, so progressively over the next few months we will have much nicer facilities, with some rooms being renovated as well. Hopefully you may visit again after that to compare the difference. We don't look much from the outside, but what we do have we try to make as comfortable as possible for guests. Thanks for staying with us, and we hope to see you again in the future.

We stayed when the Bathurst 12 hr GT3 race was on in February. So maybe $2112 for 4 guests for 4 nights is ok. I thought it was price gouging, obviously accommodation places inflate their prices as required, is it smart business? You decide.
The room was clean as were the surroundings.
Car parking is an issue, little chance of parking near your room door and there are no numbers on the parking spaces to assist this.
Room 30 has a recently renovated bathroom, new tiles and shower. When the water is turned on in the shower it runs out under the shower door and into the drain that is central in the bathroom. This is because there is no fall to the drain in the shower base. Poor workmanship.
The freezer in the bar fridge is useless, it wouldn't freeze the water in the ice cube tray that I had to buy, despite been in there for 12 hours, same for the water in the 10 cm high cut down plastic milk container that had been in the freezer for 16 hours.
It was pointed out to me by management that there is a thick layer of ice in the freezer so to say it is not freezing is not accurate and that I am expecting a lot from a bar fridge freezer. Unfortunately our frozen food thawed out as well.
Thankfully Ian kindly offered to place our water containers in the Kitchen commercial freezer. I would have thought that if a guest stated that the freezer wasn't freezing then the guests opinion would be respected and believed.
If high money is to be charged then high standards need to be provided and met.

The Country Lodge were very helpful when I needed to make a private conference call at midday. They were happy to provide an air conditioned room with internet at this unusual time. I’m very thankful for their flexibility.

Have stayed there before and so we made another booking. As I am disabled when the booking was made spoke to a lovely about my needs. He said to look at some rooms to see what would be suitable upon arrival. When we got there we checked in and we explained our phone conversation. This person named Chis immediately became defensive and said we had to take the room assigned to us. Wr tried to explain things and he became very rude. I tried to get into the room but couldn't as the step was too high for me.. We noticed another room with a lower step and when we approached Chris about this said he it was already book and wouldn't change it. He was so rude and discriminated against the disabled. We demanded our money back and webt some where else which turned out much better.

We arrived in the evening to stay in the 3 bedroom apartment. The bathroom had not been cleaned from the previous guests with dirty towels hanging behind the door, a clogged shower drain and a dirty mirror. There was also only one clean towel left for our family of six. I politely advised the front office staff that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and that we were going out for dinner and it could be done while we were gone. Mistakes happen and I wasn't too worried, as long as it was rectified. Upon return we discovered that only cleans towels had been left behind and the room had not been touched. So we were left with dirty towels and a dirty bathroom.
It kept getting worse. At 11pm we were kept awake with a couple fighting next door (please note, the only room beside ours was for staff!). They started up again at 6am the next morning and continued fighting off and on until we left at 9am.
I explained all this to the lady on reception when we left but she seemed unable/unwilling to do anything at all. I was told the manager wasn't available so I asked for the manager to call me. Needless to say, it hasn't happened.
Our experience at this motel was so bad, it compelled me to join Trip Advisor to warn other travelers!

This motel is not 4 star and barely rates as a 3 star.
Trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
The shower door rubs on the floor, no soap in the shower container and no hand towel.
The shower head is one of those square monstrosities that's immovable.
We have stayed in 4 motels before this with no problems, for about the same price and this is a new LOW.
The drawers are sub standard.
The only saving grace is the bed. It, at least is comfortable and one night is sufficient.

Hi Robert, thanks for your review. I would like to take the opportunity to clarify a couple of things. We are a 3-star motel and we never advertise ourselves as a 4star motel/hotel or anything more than that. If anyone advertises us a 4 star, it is misleading. Furthermore, you have stayed in our best deluxe king room, which has been no issues with any previous customers and they are all happy with our bathroom and furniture. They have rated high scores for that room on social media. Sorry if the room was not your liking. As for the soap in the dispenser, our housekeepers always check it when they clean room and it cannot be empty. However, we are always behind your back and ready on call 24/7, please feel free to talk to us about any issue during your stay. Thanks again and we will take your feedback on board. Regards, Oliver - Country Lodge Motor Inn

Stayed last night. The motel was Clean, Comfortable and Central. The Reception was very amiable and helpful. The room was light, bright and looked newly re-furbished. The room was basic country motel with all the basics. At 1 & 1/2 blocks from Machattie Park and Keppell St, it's within walking distance of much of the CBD.
